41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Biggest threat to the future of Bitcoin? on: June 20, 2017, 07:49:37 PM
And then deploy the fix, the only threat that I could think of is the governments buying as many Bitcoins as possible to limit our usage and
Do you think that a government could literally use the public fund and start investing in bitcoin,it is a good day for me as i am having a good laugh most of the time here as people will be commenting about things they really does not have a clue. The major threat is the lack of network upgrades and the delay it takes.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Bankers on: June 20, 2017, 07:03:39 PM
Anyone who has attempted to not use the dollar Ghadaffi (gold Dinar) - Saddam (oil for Euros)  have met a swift end.
Why are they not stopping (possible jail threats) it when they have shown they will go to extreme measures to stop competition.
I am not sure whether your comparison matches with reality, either way i am not a supporter of both these acts by US and what your doubt is that why is the US not taking extreme measures to stop the usage of bitcoin, well the answer is simple, the technology behind it is superior and you have to accept technological changes.
43  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any golden rules you follow in regards to investments? on: June 20, 2017, 04:56:06 PM
The golden rule i follow while investing is to know your project, learn about the development team and understand what their plans and vision's are and if you have any doubt regarding their plans just ask them and if they are able to clarify without any hurdle then it is well and good because they have to respond to every investor before setting out to attract others that is the important factors we have to check before investing your money.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DCORP Crowdsale - Democratizing Venture Capitalism on: June 20, 2017, 04:33:59 PM
We currently have 3 days remaining for the 3rd week of our crowdsale. This is not the final week and you will be able to invest up until June 30th.
I thought this is the last week for the crowdsale ,good to hear that the ICO will be open till June 30th,the confusion comes from the website as the count down timer says 2 days and i thought it will end within two days,my bad.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future? on: June 20, 2017, 04:22:53 PM
The difference between a corporate like Yahoo and a decentralized currency like bitcoin is that you cannot compare these two things, the price of bitcoin will rise as long as there is interest in the coin and it is hard to think that it will go down any time soon.
46  Economy / Speculation / Re: what will happen to the price of bitcoin? on: June 20, 2017, 08:30:42 AM
from cryptonews yesterday I find out that there is going to be activation of segwit2x in bitcoin to allow faster transaction and this is agreed by okcoin, bitmain and huobi, what do you think will happen to price of bitcoin?
As long as bitmain is involved and threatening investors about what their plans are, lets wait and see what will happen with it,i really do not like their business plan or proposals as all they want is to make money, which i am not against but they just want to make money and change the protocol without doing any intense testing .Technical amateur but financially sound. Tongue
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will people start moving their savings to Bitcoin in case of a financial crash? on: June 20, 2017, 08:16:13 AM
The relevance of bitcoin and other alternative investment comes when we hear all these news, you cannot really predict exactly whether there will be a financial crash coming up but i really do not trust big bankers with my money after what happened with the meltdown of 2008.
48  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good news everyone: SegWit may finally be activated with majority support on: June 20, 2017, 07:21:33 AM
But it's segwit2x... it is the same as the regular segwit?
The problem with segwit 2x is that the code has never being tested and i am not sure how it will go if they are planning to activate it and you really cannot trust to run a billion dollar valuation network and start planning on upgrading without any real testing,it will be a disaster.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather Vs McGregor: Info and prediction thread on: June 20, 2017, 05:59:46 AM
Can anyone suggest a Bitcoin sports book that's offering prop bets for this bout?  I don't think Nitrogen is interested in having props in their site.  I tried looking around but I can't find any.
Edit:  There's Bitsport.bet, but I'm not comfortable having over .05 BTC over there.
Cloud bet already have this match and the odds are crazy for McGregor, good luck with your 0.05 BTC and are you trying for any specific bets.Even i think i would place a small bet for Conor as he always surprises people and who knows he could surprise with this one,so i just want to follow the ride.
50  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reaching 3000 usd after 3 weeks on: June 19, 2017, 08:17:40 PM
Its pretty much a good deal to sale your bitcoin guys once it reach 3k usd for 1 bitcoin, Dont waste the chance to get much money on this.
What if the price of bitcoin have a good rally after reaching $3000,i did sell off my coins when it touched $1000 and i made some money because it was having difficulty to cross that valuation for a long time and when the price really broke than barrier all of a sudden i never had any coins because i was expecting it go down once again but that rally took us over $2000 and i expect that will happen here too.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin on: June 14, 2017, 10:53:43 PM
This is the question to all who have at least one bitcoin and did not bought it. How long did it actually took you to own one bitcoin?
Only to people who accumulate bitcoin with either services, or earn through signature campaigns etc.
Asking because I'm interested in knowing the average time to make one bitcoin?
It is really difficult to make one bitcoin with signature campaigns but i have seen one thread claiming that he made a bitcoin with alt coin signature campaign but in my experience it is really difficult to accumulate the coins and it will take a longer time,it is better to invest in any promising ICO and then reap your rewards later rather than wasting your time with all the other methods.
52  Other / Off-topic / Re: Better bitcoin strategy on: June 14, 2017, 10:45:16 PM
I first entered crypto world by the altcoin door by investing during ICOs but it's a risky way because a lot of projects are still scams.
If you are able to spend time researching about the project and learning about their prospect ,then you could find good ICO's every now and then and i think it is the best way to make money in this market rather than wasting your time trading with all the coins sitting at an all time high valuations,if your investments are crisp then i think it is much safer than trading .
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crash Speculation - BTC, ETH, LTC, GNT, GNO price drop on: June 14, 2017, 10:37:38 PM
If there is any correction with bitcoin i am certain that the entire alt coin market will go down and with the bitmain proposal and the scaling debate i think there will be panic and there is a possibility that all the investors will sell off their coins and make sure they are in safe haven when the block drama starts as you never know how it will end.
54  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Using the service of a trader? on: June 14, 2017, 10:27:47 PM
I'm a total noob, but I already have some options for investing in btc. Basically, I'm offered the service of investmenr companies through which you earn passively by a personal trader that does all the trading for you.
Hi Simon,i have not heard about those services till now and almost everything would be a scam as no one will be trading for your, everyone starts at a certain time and every one will be a noob at one point,so there is nothing to worry about being a noob ,just learn the market, check out different exchanges and understand how things work and then start trading rather than trusting a third party to do your job.
55  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Litecoin on: June 14, 2017, 10:05:18 PM
I am holding a few litecoins and i am waiting for the price to rise,i am happy to invest in good projects and my ultimate aim is to accumulate bitcoin through all these varied investments,we are yet to see a good rally with litecoin and so is the reason i am holding it but i am still not confident enough to invest further in it as there are many promising coins out there.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DCORP Crowdsale - Democratizing Venture Capitalism on: June 14, 2017, 09:47:33 PM
Everyone is sure that this project is becoming a successful project so you have to hurry to invest in it because if you will be late then you will lose to get the benefits of early investors. Like the discount on the price of their token for the early weeks investors.
If you are looking for a long term investment then DCORP is the coin you should invest and to get a extra bonus you need to invest as soon as possible because when the price hit the billion dollar market which i think that this project will reach after hitting the exchanges, every bonus coins counts.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way to keep bitcoins? on: June 14, 2017, 09:40:32 PM
What is the safest way to keep bitcoins.
Taken dangers like hacking, losing in to account!
The safest way is to keep you coins where you have full control over your coins, which means you have the private keys to your coins, the rest are just ways to store your coins for the mean time and the risks involved are many as anything could happen, but if you could save guard your private keys then it is the best way to save your asset.
58  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long does a trade take? on: June 14, 2017, 09:30:10 PM
It depends on what kind of trading your into, there is long term which takes around 6 months or more or you can go for short term trading which takes around a day or week or a month.
The fact is your really cannot set a time schedule for your trading, you could speculate that a particular coin could rise at a given time but it wont be certain as anything could happen.@ OP if you are looking for the amount of time to be profitable then that is the answer,if you are in profit then you could trade them if there is enough buyers,it all depends upon how much buyers are there.
59  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to learn how to trade on: June 14, 2017, 09:18:45 PM
I would say you could try Doge as a learning platform simply because of the rate and have some experience trading using that and then shift your focus on other coins, you can still invest in good ICO's,the idea is to start playing with small amount unless you learn about trading, you could use any exchanges with a good amount of volume .
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ladies and Gentlemen, Bitcoin is about to be Centralized on: June 14, 2017, 09:07:48 PM
I will accept that some of the alts coins could be centralized and controlled by a single entity but not bitcoin,as you really cannot be controlled by a center figure and so i have nor worries about it when it comes to bitcoin,so these are just pep talk just to create chaos to the newbies coming into bitcoin.
