361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about PAYA coin? on: November 03, 2019, 06:18:54 AM
PAYA is like the cryptocurrency TBC or The Billion Coin. The creator of that TBC promised that the price of his coin will continuously go up and it is like the future he said because they can soon buy anything using TBC and it is a great investment since its value is keep going up over the time but at the end, it turns out to be a scam. There is a lot of cryptocurrencies out there that have the same strategy like TBC and it is always our responsibility to dig in research first before trusting something that we just saw in the internet.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do when a project fails you as abounty hunter or investor on: November 03, 2019, 05:31:48 AM
When the project fails and if I am a bounty hunter or an investor, I simply accept the fact that I fail to achieve what I want with the project. I check all the things that I did before and during the project to see what are the mistakes that I have done so I can learn from those mistakes and I will never do the same thing again so I can avoid getting into the same scenario.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL&CALM on: November 03, 2019, 04:55:56 AM
I hope that in 2020 the price of Bitcoin will return to its former glory in early 2018. Of course, such a moment is a moment that is most missed by many crypto communities, seeing the famous bitcoin around the world.
In 2018, much anticipation for Bitcoin to reach another ATH in 2019. 2019 is getting to a close yet Bitcoin is around $9K price. However, 2019 BTC price and movement is better than 2018 where there was long bear market.
2020 is more likely to bring back the ATH price of Bitcoin because of the Bitcoin Halving which is set to happen.
I also believed that 2020 will be the comeback for the market of both bitcoin and altcoin. When the halving arrives, a lot of people will be on a hype train where they would buy bitcoin even it is at least x2 from the previous price because they all know the potential of this asset and once the hype from bitcoin calms down then that is when the altcoin season starts, just like the old days.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of Altcoins have a future? on: November 03, 2019, 04:09:29 AM
Since I know the crypto currency until now altcoin which has always been my mainstay is still Ethereum which clearly has a bright future. As for other altcoins, I only dare to invest in some alts in the Top 20 ranking because this will reduce risk.
That could reduce the risk but it is not a guarantee that you will be investing into good altcoins because not all of the altcoins in the top 20 deserve their spot. It is better to scan the market and look for promising altcoins and dig deeper about them and invest into the altcoins that you know that are worth it for long term. Don't be dependent on the ranking of altcoins because it could change anytime.
365  Economy / Economics / Re: You Can Now Keep Your Bitcoins In A Bank on: November 03, 2019, 03:25:47 AM
I don't why would people do this. We should not keep our bitcoins in a bank because when you store it inside a bank, you fall under centralization because the bank can now take care of your bitcoin and they can use it to make more bitcoin and they can freeze your account whenever they want. Bitcoin is created to promote decentralization and banks are not necessary because we already got plenty of wallets for storing bitcoins.
366  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC- When it back to 20k on: November 03, 2019, 02:33:41 AM
Dear all,

I bought 2 BTC when it were 18k USD/1BTC and lost all my other assets with BCC 400usd.
I still have been keeping them with the belief that it will recover and over 20k.
it is too long time and that makes me so tired, i need money to invest a plan, but there is no money
Do you have any idea?

thanks

If you are looking and following the news and events, you can extend your patience a little bit more, and you will be rewarded for your patience
we are now $9300, we will not even notice that we are already in the $15,000, possible to happen because of China support to blockchain and the coming halving that's two good news to hold on to your Bitcoin.
The China's recognition for the blockchain technology will not affect the price because the Chinese government will surely make their own cryptocurrency which is centralized so it will not give any effect to the overall market of cryptocurrency. On the other hand, halving seems alright and it is better to hoard bitcoin and get as much as we can while it is below $10k mark.
367  Economy / Economics / Re: Future and current Humanity, Bitcoin, Gold and Fiat. on: November 03, 2019, 01:48:04 AM
If nothing goes wrong and if the government will accept and acknowledge the blockchain technology from the cryptocurrencies then I think we will be heading into a bright future. There is a lot of talented and genius people around the world that are waiting for opportunities to maximize their knowledge and if we will utilize those people, I think our world will become so advanced.
368  Economy / Economics / Re: what makes us good investors. on: November 03, 2019, 01:11:34 AM
Well, I don't focus much on the emotion while selling out my cryptocurrency. Because I am keeping up in my mind that each of my decision should be precise while investing on cryptocurrency. I consider to sell whenever the market is favorable and not considering the emotional aspect because it doesn't help at all. Sometimes we have losses, but thinking of that deeply will just make the situation hard for us to overcome it and move on. If we commit mistakes, just stand up and correct it next time. That is what makes us a good investor.
I agree with that. Being an investor without any attachment of emotions is a really good sign that you are a good investor because if you don't have any emotions then you are limitless and despite of volatile movement in the market, you cannot be shaken. Investing doesn't need to be perfect and pure profit. Rather than thinking about perfection, just think about dedication and commitment.
369  Economy / Economics / Re: Differences between an investor and common man! on: November 03, 2019, 12:23:24 AM
Experience is the different between an investor and a common man. A common man is an ordinary person which is usually broke because they tend to spend more on their luxurious wants rather than saving and investing. An investor is a person with a clear mindset long term that he knows that he needs to prioritize investing to establish a good source of income that can take care of him in the future.
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 32 ETH for staking?! on: November 01, 2019, 04:24:14 AM
I came up with an article across the web, explaining Ethereum's staking requirements in the future which is going to be a minimum of 32 ETH. Multiplying this with current prices, I get an average of $5,780 (USD) (at $180 per coin). This doesn't seem cost-effective for the average person, as it's somewhat expensive to start earning rewards from the ETH blockchain. If ETH devs leave that requirement for staking upon the launch of Ethereum 2.0, I'm afraid that the blockchain will be less secure than what it is right now (as less people will be able to keep the network strong).

The best solution would be to lower the minimum ETH required for staking in order to encourage the average person to support the blockchain as much as possible. With lower costs, nearly anyone will be able to join the ETH blockchain, making it much more resilient against third-party attacks. What do you think about this? Huh

I agree to you this 32 ethereun is a huge amount of money specially if you are average people butto think on the other scenario you will get a good amount of return by staking your ethereum. I think those people who have a lot ethereum on their bags will benefits this staking.
32 Ethereum is not a huge amount of money if we will compare it to other cryptocurrency that offers staking and masternode. With the performance and the vision of ethereum for the future, I think that it is really worth it investment and to be honest, I am saving up my money to reach that minimum so I can have another source of income.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of tokens that did not update their Bitcointalk thread on: November 01, 2019, 03:29:27 AM
They just ran away with the money they raised. These scam project members reamain active till the last date of ICO and suddenly disappear. Most of them deleting their social media accounts and leaving any discussion they are involved in. They no more care about reputation or getting flagged. They have achieved what they want and would repeat the same with some new IDs, website and a modified whitepaper.

Well... it happens very frequently here... And still the investors don't learn the lesson and continue to pour their hard earned money in to these black holes. As you said, in many cases they delete their social media channels as well (in a few cases these scammers didn't even bothered to do that). And in most cases, they will be using lower ranked forum accounts here, so even if they get flagged, it is not going to affect them. Anyway, Bitcointalk accounts of all ranks are for sale outside this forum, and they can simply purchase a few clean ones and continue their scam.
To be honest, investors can't really tell about the future of the projects that they participated in. All of the projects can be promising in the first place and show the things that the investors wanted to see and still ran away and abandon the project. That is the risk of investing into projects, it low key requires luck.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: be careful with projects that offer you great prizes, that is not a guarantee of on: November 01, 2019, 01:17:49 AM
When it is too good to be true then it is a scam. Don't be greedy when it comes to joining into projects and do your research first before investing your time, effort and money into something. There is a lot of scams out there and it is not worth of your time so you better educate yourself first on the things that you need to check before you get in.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH experiences the deepest downfall this year on: October 31, 2019, 07:24:58 AM
Really unexpected what happens to coin ethereum, whereas many investors rely heavily on ETH can give profit but instead it happens instead, some have already lost 30% more, now it is very difficult to determine the choice, whether to To sell ETH or hold until the price recovers.
If you still hold some ETH, then I think it is better for you to keep hold your ETH until the price recovers, but if you have a lot of free time maybe you can use your ETH For daily trading. Do not hesitate with ETH prices falling in this year because we will see that next year ETH prices will rise again.
I agree with that. Why not use your Ethereum for trading because it will help you to make the amount of your ethereum bigger than before and it will also increase the fiat value of your holdings. It is not good to just sit back and hold your cryptocurrency because there are ways that you can try to increase your holdings and earn more profit once the price recovers.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: October 31, 2019, 05:59:06 AM
I am involved with cryptocurrency because I discovered that there is an opportunity here in cryptocurrency which are both education and profitability. I said education because I can learn different things when I will go through cryptocurrency investing like proper portfolio management, self-discipline etc. Profitability is one of the opportunity because when you go investing in cryptocurrency then there is a high probability that you will earn if you will choose the good cryptocurrencies and hold them long term.
375  Economy / Economics / Re: JUST IN: Chinese Central Bank to Launch Digital Currency Called "DCEP" on: October 31, 2019, 05:15:15 AM
I am not surprised if ever their digital currency will be ever launched in their country as soon as possible. This is the product of the China's president for saying that they should adapt the blockchain technology and they are now taking actions to create their own digital currency, I hope that this will become a proof that blockchain techhnology is a real tech that every other countries should also adapt.
376  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you share Bitcoin percentage in your portfolio? on: October 31, 2019, 04:35:11 AM
When the price of bitcoin gets lower than 8,000 USD from the past few weeks, I immediately sold all of my altcoins into bitcoins and I am very happy that I did that because the price of bitcoin rapidly goes up which gave me a lot of profit since I put my bitcoins into my margin account. I am now 100% bitcoin invested in my portfolio and I will just for a clear confirmation for alt season before I convert my bitcoin back to altcoins.
377  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is not that good as currency? on: October 31, 2019, 03:44:27 AM
They are totally different one way another. Though you both can be compared to as they portray as a money. Bitcoin is not as as a curreny because it always change and risks are there, ups and down can entirely be seen off the chart everytime. But a currency is not good as bitcoin either way. Currency though can be through electronics but those are selected and majority has to be in such place to pay. There is tax in which bitcoin doesn't even have. There are still many things to point out out there. But for conclusion is that they are both different in a sense they have more than deep value possesed.
In some countries there is already a tax system for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies because of the regulation and rules of the government. It is true that they are very different in terms of their system and value and I think that bitcoin should be considered as an asset and not a currency because it is not a good idea to spend bitcoin to buy simple things because it should be treated like gold and kept for long term.
378  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: October 31, 2019, 03:00:01 AM
Now that crypto is allowing us to transact globally I am questioning if we are going  to start to see more scams happen between countries. Do we need more compliance companies to step in to help major scams and illegal trafficking?

Full report: https://ciphertrace.com/articles/q1-2019-cryptocurrency-anti-money-laundering-report/

yes, I think fraud is a global problem that must be taken seriously. we know that with crypto people can transact globally, maybe that's one of the strengths. but we also have to realize that crypto can be used by people who are not responsible. like recently there was news that someone blackmailed a company in another country, and the fraudster asked for payment in bitcoin.
There are agencies that work against frauds at national and international level. It is not possible rather an easy task to catch all the criminals. Scams have nothing to do with assets but the minds and greedy lazy nature of humans. Crypto currencies never suggested anyone to scam. If you have seen bitcoin, then you must have seen people who became millionaire due to investing in it. Innovation is always innocent.
It is true, we should not blame the agencies if they didn't catch all the scammers whether it is online or offline. We should look at ourselves to check if we are the ones to be blamed. Greediness is a huge factor why there is still scams in the world because people are blind to the truth and lazy to do study first before they invest which lead to scam cases.
379  Economy / Economics / Re: How many bitcoiners on here have actually used bitcoin/crypto for commerce? on: October 31, 2019, 02:21:20 AM
I dont remember the actual stores but yes, i have used cryptocurrencies few times in last years. One time, there was a discount when buying when crypto and other time I noticed the option and chose it, because i had little FIAT but had more in crypto. With that said, I also consider BTC more as investment then anything else.
Nowadays, bitcoin is mainly for investment rather than a currency to use as a mode of payment because the fee of bitcoin is higher than before which is not that convincing and practical for the people who are buying with a minimal cost. It is better to just keep bitcoin at a safe place and use other cryptocurrency as a mode of payment because they are cheaper and faster, to be honest.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN ALTSEASON? are we waiting for nothing? on: October 31, 2019, 01:44:44 AM
Just be patient and continuously accumulate more altcoins in the market. Don't be in a rush because this is actually a blessing in disguise because the market of altcoin is giving us a longer opportunity to get more altcoin and fill our bags for long term holding. Altseason will become and the only problem is we don't know when it is coming, so just invest in good altcoins and worry nothing because when the altcoin season comes then it would be epic.
