I think it can,because no one knows when Bitcoin will continue to be valuable and when Bitcoin will lose its value.
So,If miners or Bitcoin investments start switching to other currencies,I think that's where Bitcoin might lose its value.
Of course we do not want Bitcoin to lose its value,so we must remain loyal to Bitcoin and invite more people to join Bitcoin so Bitcoin will be stay valuable.

there's probably not much that can be done to participate in an effort to increase bitcoin price so far i have only helped promote bitcoin through social media and introduce bitcoin to my friends and relatives to learn trading with bitcoin, and I think by not selling bitcoin it certainly contributes to increase price of bitcoin.

I personally also accumulating very cheap alt. I am accumulating atlant which is very low from ico price and their first product will be launch at march. Boscoin also buying it even only in webwallet and main net will launch at 2018 q1. Many alt will got pump from now untill december. Bit remember only legit project with legit team.
Buying at the first stage of ICO is really the only way to get the altcoins at most cheap price. and buying with that it is obvious to the investor that exact after the end of ICO when the coin will launch the exchange then they will earn a high amount if they even sell instantly. So all the profit is earned in a period of a month or two. I think not all ICO coins have a good investment prospect, because I have little experience to invest in unpleasant ICO because the selling value of coins is very low, learning from my experience prefer to buy altcoin that already exist in the market like ETH, LTC, NEO, DASH and Waves, although altcoin is now down but i'm optimistic if one day this coin will increase. |

I think if you have enough budget it might be better to invest in both because bitcoin investing would be better for the long term while short term investments I'm more likely to do in altcoin like ETH, ZEN and some other potentially increasing altcoin. |

I'm not sure whether bitcoin will be acceptable for various banking transactions, while currently bitcoin legality hasn't been fully authorized and gained recognition from the government, indeed as we know, bitcoin has various limitations in usage when compared to fiat money. Yes, the current price of bitcoin decreases and maybe now is the right time to buy bitcoin as a good investment for short or long term, and if we believe in mechanism of bitcoin and unstable price movements of course with decline in bitcoin prices now provide an opportunity for us to invest in bitcoin, but it certainly requires patience in bitcoin investment because it takes time to be able to get benefits that match our expectations.
