921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How did you feel about your first payment???? on: August 06, 2018, 01:41:58 PM
Because even tho i got just $4 dollars he felt really good because i know if I could get any money out this, it means it can only get better and I could probably get thousands of dollars from it

Did you mean first reward from bounty / airdrop ?
First time i got reward from crypto is around 100 USD from an airdrop, and it really amazed me.
That's why i'm still here till right now
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: So, Crypto Market ALL RED Again!! on: August 05, 2018, 04:16:42 PM
Today All Crypto market get RED again!
I dont know why, may be nobody knows. What is going on people?!!

All top 10 coins decrease around 5%. ETH traded at $430, BTC at $7700.
I think ETH may continue dumping while BTC will stop dumping at $73xx then great again.

It's keep decreasing because spreaded a rumor that ETF has been rejected.
But i think it's normal people sell their btc for short profit and they will buy it again and hold for next bull run
923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: when cryptocurrencies can be used to buy basic needs? on: August 05, 2018, 03:59:04 PM
A lot of projects are going on blockchain and new cryptocurrencies are being launched day by day but when can we actually see  them floating in real market for real use cases like buying a cigarette or bread? is it possible?

Still need a long time because it's still not safe and still need time for doing a transaction.
It still need many improvement before it will go global currency for daily needs
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TODAY why is bitcoin decreased?? Winklevoss twins bitcoin ETF rejected by SEC on: August 05, 2018, 03:39:38 PM
huhu TODAY why is bitcoin decreased?? do you think bitcoin will decrease down 6000$ Huh

Winklevoss twins bitcoin ETF rejected by SEC

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/07/26/winklevoss-twins-bitcoin-etf-rejected-by-sec.html

Yeah the ETF thing is really affect crypto market right now.
But it's okay, we'll wait for a little longer for new big bull run at the end of the year
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much do you generally invest in an ICO ? on: August 05, 2018, 03:31:10 PM
Hey guys,

I'm starting off with a relatively small budget, but I do want to invest in a few ICOs. However I have no idea what can be a potentially profitable amount, not necessarily short term, but in the long-ish run.

How much do you guys invest in an ICO that you believe in on average ?

Actually just invest only when i got the reward from bounties.
Usually do 50% invest from my reward from bounties or airdrops
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: in times like these on: August 05, 2018, 03:12:14 PM
in times like these, we suffer, we are in the bear market everyone is getting rekt, everyone is losing hope and someone is already out of the game but this is not the end, even the smallest of light shines upon darkness, stand together and let's ride this bull together.

Yeah it almost repeated every year, the losers will lose hope and the winner will be always patient.
Crypto is not for the weak ! lol Cheesy
927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decisions decisions on: August 04, 2018, 02:49:29 PM
If you had $10,000.00 dollars to invest in one
Cryptocurrency and had to hodl until 2020
which one would you buy and why?

BITCOIN. ofc.
This is the mother of crypto and the boss of the crypto.
No one can't stop bitcoin.
Even when the price of other coin is down, bitcoin can increase alone because all people hold it
928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Determination is power on: August 04, 2018, 02:22:56 PM
I have noticed in crypto currency space that people find it difficult to focus and be determined to succeed in crypto
People tend to forget that millions is not made in a day;

But to be sincere I think when we are determined to make it
Crypto is the home for everyone

Success is only for patient people.
And for trading crypto, it's impossible for people that cannot be patient because sometimes they need to sustained loss before they got big profit.
929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Online Dating Going Into Blockchain on: August 04, 2018, 02:14:23 PM
This niche has always been popular that is was about time some projects were cooking behind the scenes. As we all know many projects don't have a purpose, and they start ICOs only to hastily raise a capital for something they have not idea for.

Others fields like online dating are also making their first steps into the blockchain terrain. But some of them fall short. Like I said, when we want to take something into Blockchain, we need to have purpose... a solution for a problem, so to speak.

Blockchain technology can harbor many fields. There are projects currently developed by Disney for their thematic parks, and NASA is using blockchain as well.

So, I think that with online dating - since it is a topic with a large audience - a project based on this field can have a good future.

If tinder use any blockchain system, i think crypto will be more famous and many people using it as a payment.
This is a very good new for crypto, lately we also heard crypto is entered a porn industry also Cheesy
930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH so popular on: August 03, 2018, 03:20:46 PM
Eth has become popular, do you know the reasons?
I think people are too stress with BTC decreasing, then they sell BTC out to buy more ETh.

ETH's smart contract is the best i think.
Also they have many "child" tokens (ERC-20) tokens which is easy to use and also easy to transfer.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties are STUPID on: August 03, 2018, 01:58:24 PM
What's the point in distributing 2% towards bounties??

Those people will flip the tokens as soon as they get them, and it's usually much less people than it looks like due to multi-account.

Also the quality of the post is very low even for hero and "legendary" members.

If I had a coin I would never ever distribute part of the tokens towards bounties; I'd see that as a kick in the nuts to legit ICO participants.

Wow this is sounds so arrogant.
Placing ICO banner in people post is really good for promoting their ICO even the post is trash. The point of bounty (signature) is how people see the ads.
and also, you're using a banner for signature campaign also.. hm..
932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do these Jumps in value come from in altcoins on: August 02, 2018, 05:27:02 PM
I have been messing around in bittrix for a few days now experimenting with day/swing trading for the first time. I understand how new information coming out can greatly effect prices via news articles and even tweets sometimes. What im having trouble understanding is coins that seem like they're doing nothing in the market for days/weeks/months will then jump up in value 20,30 or 40% without to my knowledge any news coming out or external reason for the jump in price.

I see this is all sorts of coins but for example adtoken (ADT) last Monday (July 23) had that big jump up in price. Now today very recently has had a small jump up. I'm still new to this and have a lot to learn but any tips or advice on this topic will go a long way.

Edit: i have since learned adt was added to Upbit last monday and hence the jump in price. ( i guess it was a bad example)

the tokens or coins with a low volume and listed on few market is usually had a price jump because some whales manipulated the price.
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MARKET IS RED AGAIN on: August 02, 2018, 05:06:07 PM
May be this year is the worst year for the crypto. market is very uncertain and no one knows the reason All we have is just a "hope" do you really believe that crypto will revive again.. i am losing hope now

It's because already reach it's currenct high, people must be sell their btc for short profit and i'm sure they will buy it again right now and hodling until the new high
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: whats your plans for the year 2018 on: July 30, 2018, 04:08:52 PM

935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most unusual ICOs of 2018? on: July 30, 2018, 04:00:58 PM

936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: receiving coins from ICO is taxable? on: July 29, 2018, 03:03:57 PM
Hi,
In this video https://www.cnbc.com/video/2018/04/16/fundstrats-tom-lee-makes-the-case-for-a-big-bitcoin-rally-post-tax-day.html?play=1

Around 0:46 seconds thru the video, Tom Lee says that "as soon as you receive coins from an ICO, that is taxable" .
I thought when you invest in an ICO, that is taxable because the price of ETH might be higher at the time of investing in ICO than when you actually bought the ETH.
Just receiving coins from ICO should not be taxable until you actually sell the coins.
Any thoughts on this, please?
Thanks so much

But who can ask us for tax in crypto ?
Every wallet has anonymous ownership, so we can choose not to pay tax and also, from sending the tokens we've already pay tax as a transaction fee
937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your favorite Altcoins to trade or HODL right now? on: July 29, 2018, 02:23:59 PM
Indeed, it is very obvious that they are so many new and fresh altcoins the market right now but despite all of these, what Altcoins do you invest with and believes it will be a huge success and can give you the desired profit you want?

ETH is my current favourite because the price is relatively stable than other alts.
But i also hodling some ICO tokens which is have a good future such as ETN, NAGA, and will collect some STM later
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VIRTUAL CURRENCIES RATHER THAN FIAT, IS IT POSSIBLE? on: July 29, 2018, 02:13:04 PM
“Why might citizens hold virtual currencies rather than physical dollars, euros, or sterling? Because it may one day be easier and safer than obtaining paper bills, especially in remote regions... The best response by central bankers is to continue running effective monetary policy, while being open to fresh ideas and new demands, as economies evolve.” - Christine Lagarde, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)

Dollars, euro, rupiah, rupee, and other fiats are what we know as money. As technology gets mature, we find more efficient to use our money, which is e-money. In our daily life, we are starting to use e-money. When we go to office, we use Uber or Grab, and pay with Uberpay or Grabpay. When we commute, we use our cards. Slowly but sure, we are touching less and less paper money.

Now, here comes blockchain. A very newly-born technology that has acquired most attention about how to democratize our financial system. Well, most likely because Bitcoin keeps rising annually.  Blockchain is seen as a way to get capital from Initial Coin Offering (ICO). In a nutshell, ICO is today's IPO. It's way more simple and fast, and surprisingly it works beyond our expectation.

Like trade.io, one of successful ICO in 2017, which acquired more than 31 million dollars. Aiming to bridge the traditional financial system into modern technology, blockchain. Also, it provides ICO services to any company who intends to get capital. Trade.io just launched their unique exchange, which is customizable. This exchange will later trade commodities, forex and more. What more interesting is, all the profits generated from the exchange and their services, will be given back 50% to community owing Tradetoken (TIO).

What virtual currency offers is something that can not be done by fiat: Democratize the Asset. We can be part of blockchain as the core of blockchain is their tokens, which we can own. With more and more companies come into blockchain, we are waiting for the best future of cryptocurrency.

Yes it's really possible in the future, right now less people want to hold fiat money.
They buy everything with their gadget with the ease of use.
If crypto is more safe and good transaction speed, i think people will move to crypto
939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How did I get to the crypto world. on: July 29, 2018, 12:38:04 PM
My day started as always: waking up, breakfast and work. No signs of trouble, sitting working on the computer, cruising in the world’s net. A cup of freshly brewed coffee was expecting me, as you know nothing will invigorate you as much as this magical drink.
My co-worker stoped by and accidentally I found myself talking to him about crypto currency. I didn’t know anything about it back then, he said that he made 0.8 bitcoins in a year by investing 3055 USD and by buying asics. I took it very skeptically, but looked at the currency and realized that it’s about 6111 USD. Bitcoin didn’t make much sense to me back then, so I thought like “yeah good luck fella!”.  Although something clicked in the back of my mind - I really wanted to become rich!!! But everything didn’t start right away. I came down a little, I thought that it might be sort of a trick. After a while my bro came to visit me. He bought a new phone and expensive watch, you could’ve seen he made the $ himself, he had that “fire” in his eyes. And it all started from there, I found out about “bounty”, “ bitcoin talk” etc. I started to do everything to become a Jr. Member. All that time I wanted to participate in Bitcointalk Signatures. I was counting down days, hours, minutes, even seconds.. I found out about airdrop tokens at the forum, so I was participating there. I saw myself a millionaire next week, filled out bunch of forms, registered on Twitter and FB, started to be active on the social networks. After couple of months my expectations wasn’t met but I didn’t give up. And finally I became a Jr. Member, my first subscription Bitcointalk Signatures., waiting for the “bounty”, payments to finish, I guess everyone went through that. But after all that struggle I didn’t get rich. I figured that in a month I made approximately 0.1 Ethereum, which is like 39,72 USD. Although it’s not bad but it’s far from becoming a millionaire. The question was how to get Merit, since I’m a new member, I couldn’t write something smart and useful right away, was trying to respond with jokes, was writing something that I found in google but still I didn’t get any Merit. I started checking out the forum, found the topic - « Easy and legal way to get Merit », was learning the rules of the forum, was looking for the subjects that are breaking down the rules of the forum or published in a wrong section and reporting them. But my expectations wasn’t met and I still didn’t get any Merit. I started to freak out, I’m not asking for much, just a little. Of course I understand that you can’t get all at once, you need time, effort, perseverance, work, but you want it all at once, right?!
This is my story, I hope that it will be useful for someone and wish I could read your stories how did you become a part of the crypto world. Thank you all, good luck to everyone and I wish all your dreams to come true.

Before i know crypto, my daily activity is playing MMORPG game and making money from them.
Also the first time someone in my game introduced this forum and i started learning cryptocurrency.
I was never invested back then. i just posted and ask everything i didn't know to this forum for gaining rank.
Then when the times come, i can earn some money from crypto...
I will continue my story later when i have time.

As a newbie, which is the best to do; To invest(earn) or to Learn(for how long)?

As a newbie the best thing is learn from this forum and do airdrops and bounties.
From there you will get capital for investment and do trading if you ready
