How can we protect ourselves from a crypto crash?

Keep up-to-date with the crypto news because all pump and dump comes from the news.
Always read crypto experts analysis and do own analysis also, so we can increase our awareness to crypto market that can be down in just one day. becuse crypto is volatile.
1082  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bull run of BTC start soon? on: May 26, 2018, 03:01:16 PM
This year , upto now is not good for crypto investors. Value of the investment is far less than previous year. We saw last year BTC went pass 19k and now it is around 7-8k. Price of btc is fluctuating. Therefore alt price also not increasing. Every investors hope the recover of market soon. But it didn't happen yet. Some experts said that it will start on june. What do you think about this situation?
Yes it is the best market situation for invest some bitcoin, because it was already 2 days stable price, and i'm sure in upcoming days the price will rising and break new resistance level.
Many good news incoming also for pumping the price.
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to automate your bounty tracking and make reporting easy! on: May 25, 2018, 03:59:38 PM
So I decided to write an instruct-able blog post to try and help some bounty hunters to optimize their time and save potentially hours of searching through social media posts and saving links. I have been using this method for over a month now and it has saved me time and made the weekend less stressful (most of my bounties report on Sundays).

The blog post covers 2 methods for automatically tracking your social media posts and saving them in a spreadsheet in your Google Drive. Method 1 works for Twitter and Method 2 works for both Twitter and Facebook but is a bit more complicated. Both methods may also work for Linked In but since I don't have an account I haven't tried it.

This is copied from my steemit account and the original post can be found here https://steemit.com/bounty/@badman-crypto/badmans-tips-n-tricks-1-automated-bounty-tracking, and if you like this post go to the link and drop me an up-vote and follow (a little merit wouldn't be refused either Cheesy).

Quote

Crypto Bounty Auto-Track
Crypto bounties can be a good way to earn some new ICO tokens for free and with the sheer amount of bounties available at the moment, it can be difficult to keep track of the work you have done and can be an absolute pain when it comes to the end of the week and you have to search through your twitter feed to get links for all your posts. Well, fret no longer my token loving amigos, as reading this post could save you literally hours over your bounty hunting career!

I am going to cover two methods that you can use to auto-track your twitter and facebook posts and make your weekly report a breeze! The first is more straightforward and simple to use but as far as I am aware, only works with Twitter and not Facebook (feel free to mess about with it and let me know if I'm wrong). The second method works for both platforms but has the drawbacks of being slightly more complicated to set up, and having a limited amount of actions per month unless you pay for an account.

Method 1 - IFTTT
IFTTT - an acronym that stands for If This Then That - is a platform that allows the development of automation apps to integrate with a whole host of different services. IFTTT is extremely easy to use to tract your twitter tweets (it also tracks retweets and comments as well) and all you will need are your Twitter account and a google account as we will be integrating Twitter with Google Sheets.

Step 1
Sign up for IFTTT, as we will be using our Google account for Google sheets it will likely be simplest to just sign in with your Google account, although you can also use your Facebook account or sign up with an email address and password.

You will be met with the following screen and can either choose 3 or more applications that you use regularly and want to receive suggestions for or you can click the cross in the top right corner to skip this step for now.

Step 2
Click the search option at the top of the page...

...and type "Keep a simple spreadsheet of every tweet you post".

Step 3
After selecting the app, turn it on...

...and allow access to your Twitter account and Google account.

Step 4
Configure - the applet only has 2 options and they are whether or not to track Retweets and Comments and this is up to you.

The applet creates a spreadsheet in your google drive and auto updates it at regular intervals with all of your Twitter activity.

There are other applets available through IFTTT that do the same thing but offer other options such as the location and name of the spreadsheet as well as another app that can track the posts that you "like" on Twitter. It is up to you to search around the site and find which applets are useful to your individual needs.

I mentioned earlier that this method does not work with Facebook, and although Facebook is supported by IFTTT, I have not yet been able to find an applet that tracks facebook posts and saves them in a spreadsheet. Please let me know if you find a way because method 2 has its drawbacks.

Method 2 Integromat
Integromat is an ultra customisable integration platform similar to IFTT and is a useful tool for many applications. The major drawback to using it to track your tweets or Facebook posts is that its free account has a limit of 1000 operations per month which can quickly be used up if you participate in multiple campaigns. It is possible to sign up for more than one account although I wouldn't condone that.

Step 1
Sign up for Integromat. As before, it may be easiest to sign in with your Google account but feel free to use any method you want.

After signing up you can either take the tour of the platform or skip it and afterwards, you will be presented with your dashboard where you can click at the top right to create a new scenario.

on the next screen press skip and you are ready to begin creating.

Step 2
Click the big white question mark and type Facebook (or Twitter) in the search bar and select it.

Then select Watch Posts from the triggers options.

Step 3
Create a Facebook connection by clicking "Add", "Continue" and then allowing access to your facebook account.

You can then edit the number of posts that will be recorded per action and this number will depend on how many posts you make per day and the frequency that you want integromat to activate. For now, it can be set anywhere between 2 and 10. After clicking ok you will be given options as to when the scenario should start tracking and again this will come down to personal preference but can be edited later so just press ok.

Step 4
Log into google drive and create a new spreadsheet with headings for "Date", "Post" and "Link".

Step 5
Go back to integromat and click to add another module, search for Google Sheets, select "Add a row" and then connect your Google account the same way you connected your facebook account in step 3.

Step 6
Select your spreadsheet from step 5 in the file drop box and fill in the rest of the options like the screenshot below. The boxes for Date, Post and Link are multi-choice options when you click on them. Note that your link will be recorded in this format "https://www.facebook.com/1807123102689998/posts/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" where the "1807123102689998" in my case is my Facebook profile numeric ID. This can be replaced with your named profile ID ("Philios.Stephenios" in my case) if you want but the link will function the same either way.

Step 7
Click the play button in the bottom left corner and your scenario should run, find a post, and store it in your previously created spreadsheet. Click on the clock button next to the Facebook logo to set the frequency at which your scenario will run in minutes. This will depend on how often you post, how many posts you track per operation (see step 3), and how quickly you want your operations to be used up. I would set it to run at least higher than once per hour but it is up to you.

BONUS TIP!
To filter your posts on your spreadsheet, and make reporting your posts a breeze, select your "Posts" or "Tags" heading and press the filter button in the menu bar (Ignore my extra columns in the spreadsheet).

Click on the inverted triangle that appears on the heading row to open up the filtering options. Click the clear button to deselect all posts and then search for your tag of choice and press select all.

You have now filtered all of your posts and provided links that can be copied and pasted straight into your weekly report. Sorted!

It seems like the automation for the reporting, thanks for sharing.
but i think i'm still confy with my manual excel sheet because i'm doing it daily, so it might be more easy than i have to learn new thing.
But this is really great for who joins many social media bounties, great share !
1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do altcoinstalk and bitcointalk have any kind of connection? on: May 25, 2018, 03:40:59 PM
Guys, do altcoinstalk and bitcointalk have any kind of connection? I mean do they have same developers or admins from here?

both are really similiar, very similiar features and also there also exist a bounty campaign just like here.
And the ranks of the account is also the same.
I think if they're not having a connection, there must be a contract which bitcointalk signed for altcointalks for copying all the fatures from here.
1085  Other / Off-topic / Re: will bitcoin give surprise, ?? on: May 24, 2018, 04:42:10 PM
in this month whether bitcoin will reach the highest price?

It surpriced us yesterday due to preety big correction from bitcoin.
I think the price will be reach new all time high at 4th quarter of this year.
Like as usual, price of bitcoin is rising at the end of the year.
1086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So many new ICO, how to check if it's scam? on: May 24, 2018, 04:32:00 PM
So many new ICO, and they all have new idea and tech listed on their webpages,

and even the websites use the same template...

but so many new ICO, how to check if it's scam, or worth to invest...

Nowadays to find a good ICO is not that hard.
Many good reviewer websites list a good ICO and worth to invest.
So, we don't have to do own analysis to choose what ICO we will invest, just go through the ICO review websites as a references.
1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: in 2020 wich one will be higher bitcoin or ethereum ? on: May 21, 2018, 03:28:51 PM
in your opinion which one has the chances to go high by 2020 .........

1. ethereum

2. bitcoin

If bitcoin doesn't has improvement till that time, i think ethereum will be the top of the market.
Since ethereum has more features than bitcoin and also their smart contract system is really nice.
Bitcoin is the mother of blockchain, but it needs more improvement to be a global currency.
1088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the most interesting altcoin? on: May 21, 2018, 03:10:30 PM
With thousands of coin on the market to find a coin is not easy. I want to have a topic that sums up some pioneers in applying the blockchain to life aspects to consider investing. It can leaf super profits along with huge risks. Can you add other altcoins to help me?
1- Wepower (WPR): Blockchain-based green energy trading platform
2- Polymath ( Poly) : The World's First Security Token
3- Egretia (EGT) : The World's First HTML 5 Blockchain Engine and Platform
4- Bitnautic (BTNT): Sea transport sector
5- SKYFchain (SKYFT):  the first blockchain based Business-to-Robots (B2R) Operating Platform
And...

In my opinion ETH is still the best altcoin currently.
It has a lot of features, can adjust fee for transferring and the smart contract thing is the best.
Also it's platform ERC-20 tokens is really popular right now.
1089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do Bounty Hunters Sell Immediately they receive reward? on: May 21, 2018, 02:50:28 PM
Many ICOs have realized that Bounty hunters always sell their coins immediately they give it out to their wallets especially when they are on exchanges. What are the reasons why they sell it out and what should bounty hunters do when they are given the tokens.

Because they want rush money.
They don't spent any money to invest, so they don't feel some loss if they sell their token immediately even with really cheap price.
But, it's good for new investors who want to invest more, they will get the tokens with cheap price.
1090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your coins in multiple wallets on: May 20, 2018, 02:17:13 PM
Hi,

I lost some coins this year (my own fault in Phising)
But if you send your coins to multiple wallets you can split your investments better.

When your wallet is hacked you only lose this wallet.
This is my lesson for the next time  Smiley (and some other securities)

What do you do to secure your coins / tokens?

Yes i'm splitting my wallets into many exchanges.
and for securing wallets, make sure you active the 2FA verification for log in into our wallet.
And if you want more secure, you could use offline wallet or hardware wallet such as trezor.
1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is promising ICO in June 2018? on: May 20, 2018, 01:49:46 PM
Which is promising ICO in June 2018?

Any suggestions please.

Streamity is one of a good choice, it has already prepared their project for a long time, and their 2nd phase of ICO will begin soon (at the end of june).
Their token is sold more than 4mils US dollar and now Streamity is aim for hardcap on 20mils USD.
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why ICOs fail on: May 20, 2018, 01:34:45 PM
The main problem is the scum. In the crypto community there are incredibly many people who try to cash in on the money of investors.

Yes you're right.
Investors right now is not really "invest", they just want to get fast profits from an ico by selling the ICO tokens with low price when the tokens enter a markets.
So that's why many ICOs fail nowadays.
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What am I to do? on: May 19, 2018, 05:03:12 PM
Now all the markets are crashing down and I don't know what to do with my altcoins. My briefcase fell 30% in a couple of days. I'm afraid I might lose more. Selling or hodl?
Now market is dropping again, but you know since you post this thread, market is ever to almost 10k before.
So, we just need time to break it again.
The best way is holding right now because the big wave of bullish are incoming.
1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin are scam nowadays on: May 19, 2018, 04:43:54 PM
Hello, I am new in this forum but not new in cryptocurrencies,  I started trading cryptocurrency in 2016 and my first cryptocurrency I bought that time is vergecurrency and other penny coin. And I returned my money in bundle because they have good tech and very good team..So early this year I noticed that a lot of coin is now scam and failed promises. So please if you want to buy any coin don't go to coinmarketcap only because coinmarketcap can list any coin without verifying it well, just go to their telegram group and ask questions I think this can help you stay away from scam coin...

Yes, due to so easy to create a coins especially erc-20 tokens, people start doing new ICOs with no product running on it.
All we have to do is do our own research before choosing or buying an ICO, from that we probably know which one is scam and which one isn't.
Stay safe in cryptocurrency because this world is full of scammer.
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is buying new listed coin profitable? on: May 19, 2018, 04:25:34 PM
Good Day guys, just searching for an alternative way to invest my money to,
so the question is, is buying new listed token(token that just ended ICO) to an exchange profitable? do many of you do that? would you recommend doing that? or should I buy on their ICOs?

Could be the best way to earn profits.
But you have to see the project behind the coin itself, and if you can, you should buy the coin before it listed in big market such as binance.
And hours before it listed, make sure you buy it on another market with cheaper price before it enters big markets.
1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin under 1$ to invest in now? on: May 18, 2018, 05:00:11 PM
Hello! Guys I am looking for coin under 1$ with some good Basics. maybe some coin that I can hold for 2 to 3 year. Am planning to add some more folios? All the suggestion are Open. Huh Huh

1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Good Signature Campaign on: May 18, 2018, 04:30:35 PM
Hello Bounty Hunter Friends,

Could you please tell me which signature campaign is the best for now? And, Please share your way how to choose a good signature or social bounty?

Thank You

My parameter for choosing bounty campaign is from the bounty manager.
If the project is a serious project, they will choose a good and expensive bounty manager such as sylon, needmoney, arteezy and any other great campaign manager.
So i will join those project held by them, and also it's nice to see our stakes is update every week by good bounty managers.
1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty is dead :( on: May 18, 2018, 04:14:46 PM
Guys hello to all, maybe somewhere that already created such a thread, but I'll try to ask again Smiley Recently, I increasingly see that people get quite ridiculous amounts for participating in the bounty, for example, when compared with what was 5 months old back, the amounts are absolutely ridiculous. Do you think this is a temporary phenomenon? Or is the bounty dying? Thanks to everyone, I really want to hear the opinion of people of the rank of Hero and Legendary.

Help us in the fight against bots and scammers!

Link on thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3200601

It's not dead but the difficulty for earning stakes in a bounty get harder for avoiding people who just spamming in this forum.
Since the merit system it's hard to earn many stakes in bounty and also the moderator is more strict for removing spam replies, but it doesn't mean the bounties are scam.
I just rewarded from bounties that i joined for 3 months for valued 6 ETH.
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When your token goes down hard, are you going to sell it? on: May 18, 2018, 04:06:20 PM
I’m new to the crypto world, I have some bad experience yet but I’m being educated little-by-little, based on my experience here in crypto world. I notice that some users when they see that bitcoin and ethereum coin had a very bad drop, so does the token, they are selling almost 70% of their holdings of that token. And I have experienced that when the market goes down, so does the token doing some panic sell.  May I ask, is it advisable to sell the tokens you hold, when the price of your token goes really down?

It depends on what cause the price drops itself.
If it because of the news that the coins is scam, and no further clarification from the CEO or the teams, i would assume it really a scam and i will definitely sell all my coins because there is no hope for comeback.
1100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining on Mobile Phone on: May 17, 2018, 03:51:33 PM
Would you be interested in a cryptocurrency with its own blockchain that can easily be mined on both android and iOS phones?

If you're looking for mining in smartphone , you can download electreneum in playstore.
But, i still not recommend mining in smartphone, because of the earning income is very little.
Mining rig is still the best tool to mine crypto.
