161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cyber criminals are using Youtube to install-Crypto jacking software on: December 03, 2019, 05:58:38 AM
If you are fond of watching Youtube and clicking links on it this is something you should be aware of
Quote
Slovakian software security firm Eset has uncovered that cyber criminals behind the Stantinko botnet have been distributing a Monero (XMR) cryptocurrency mining module via Youtube.

More of this story here:
https://cointelegraph.com/news/cyber-criminals-are-using-youtube-to-install-cryptojacking-malware

When we browse a cryptocurrency content we should really careful with any links that refers to a website that we don't know because most of cryptocurrency websites are planted with malware or phising tools that can detect our password or something that can copy their address and when we want to send balance, we will paste their website address instead of our address. So, it's really dangerous for the newbie crypto people who just invested in crypto
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Altcoins do it alone ? on: December 03, 2019, 04:18:31 AM
Altcoins can never be alone or make its own increase and decrease of value without bitcoin because since the beginning when the altcoins are being project it already paired by BTC which is the only coins that dominating the value of all cryptocurrency coin in the digital space.

You better to look at coinmarketcap website and you could filter the coin list to top gained coins in 24 hour, you will see there are several coins that has gained for more than 10% each day. So i think altcoin is not 100 percent rely on bitcoin price.
163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Altcoins do it alone ? on: December 02, 2019, 01:27:30 PM
We have often witnessed that the growth of altcoin is associated with the growth of bitcoin as whenever there is a pump in the value of bitcoin we have witnessed green days for altcoins too but how long will altcoins be dependent on bitcoin? Do you think altcoin can do it alone and have it's own pump and dump without being dependent on bitcoin? What will it take for altcoin to prosper without bitcoin's involvement?

Ofcourse it can. More over altcoins with low volume which like under 1 mil a day, there often this kind of altcoins experienced a big pump like more than 30% in a day. But it's seldom to happen in top alts with decent big volume because the whales are not able to pump it
164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am not lucky in trading - what am I doing wrong? on: December 02, 2019, 09:02:39 AM
Hello all,

need advise, if any exist Smiley
I am trading btc few years - but it seems I havent learnt anything. My plan was to use bitcoin volatility to earn some extra btc, but it seems I am not able to do this.
I am selling/buying always in wrong time. Using volume as only indicator, as others do not make sense for me.

For example I see a series of red candles with increased selling volume, price crossing support line (like today crossing 7040, 7000, 6900 USD) so I sold 0.8btc in expectation price fall to 6500 usd as few days ago.
But 1.5 hour later price changed and went up and my prediction was again wrong. And the same is during increase of price. If the price hits e.g. 10300 usd and starts falling I do not sell, because I am not sure when it will turn again. And then I usually miss fall in price from 10300 to 7300 which is finally 3000 usd, what you can earn on 1 sold btc at correct time.

Am I doing something completly wrong? Or it is not possible to predict the movement of btc?

thanks
P.

that means you're trapped by the whale strategy, you shouldn't make a decission by looking at the current market position, you should determined your buying area and selling area before enter the trade and you also have to not FOMO by the agility of market movement because that is what whales want.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are only rich on spreadsheets on: December 02, 2019, 02:55:40 AM
Some IEOs offer very beneficial bounties, but you are not getting the same rewards as one would get when the market was in its last booming phase in late 2017 to early 2018 so just be patient for next year and see if the market improves and more opportunities arrive which offer more lucrative rewards

Yeah we just have to be patient more, everything have it's own down phase and the bounty hunters are experiencing it right now. Keep doing it with heart and never blaming the market or other things that made bounty is not profitable right now, i'm sure in the future there will a phase that bounty is having a big reward again followed by the great time of crypto again just like 2017
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You think that governments might adopt cryptocurrencies to replace fiat currency on: December 02, 2019, 01:49:40 AM
Currently, in this day and age, all governments around the world have adopted fiat currencies as a means for its citizens to trade with one another and to trade with other nations around the world. However, would it be possible for in the future for governments around the world to create a cryptocurrency as a means of trade to replace fiat currency?

I can see that fiat currency has many flaws as all types of currencies before it, but with the new “government cryptocurrency” would it be able to solve the problems that fiat currency has and make a better economy? I’m not really sure myself as I can’t really predict the future.

Considering that fiat currency replaced all the previous currencies before it, would cryptocurrency replace fiat currency in the future?

It is really appicable but the government won't do it because they can't track the citizen's money when the people are holding cryptocurrency and the chance of they hiding their weatlh to avoiding tax is bigger, so the government needs to make a centralized and controllable cryptocurrency if they really want to replace fiat in a country
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Resuscitate - Better chances to Touch 160$ standard on: December 01, 2019, 02:25:16 AM
Ethereum has begun to show a little bullrun and it will happen in the next few weeks I believe it will reach the desired target.
I have bought ETH around $ 146 now that I have made a profit but at this time I still haven't reached my target because $ 170 will be achieved soon.

I think it's impossible for ETH doing a bull run when bitcoin is still struggling on 7k+ , we need to see bitcoin bull run first before we could see the ETH bull run. End of they year will be always bad days for crypto so we have to be more patient and wait for a good movement from the market next year
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of bounty campaign. on: November 30, 2019, 05:04:18 PM
Its very difficult for new members to earn anything from bitcointalk due to merit and account ranking system. Early birds are getting most share from bitcointalk. If few people are in bounty campaign then fewer will be posts and not much marketing will be done of the ICO/IEO.

New members could do campaigns besides signature campaign, signature campaign is not main income from forum right now because nowadays a campaign just reserved less than 20% from signature campaign not like 2 years ago where signature campaign pool is like 30-40% from the whole bounty pool
169  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So traders, how much You lose? on: November 30, 2019, 01:50:46 AM
So Everybody like to talk about winning and profits.... But traders honestly how much You are losing?  Daily weekly Monthly?

Im sure the Beginners lose coz of FOMO.

You're absolutely right. We've definitely fostered a culture in this community where we only talk about our wins. It would be interesting to see more people talking about their losses. Also give us a chance to learn from each other.

This forum should have a special section about trading losses and people will post their loss and they will tell the specific steps why they are losing, i'm sure it will be a great topics because we can learn from each other
170  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Here are the Top 15 Cryptocurrencies according to Coinbase users on: November 28, 2019, 03:09:40 PM
This kind of infographic is really helpful for many types of traders, if we usually trades daily we could see the less hold time because the price will be so agile and it's really fit for daytrade, and for long term trade we could choose coins with longest holding time. They should make this as an engine so the visualization will be dynamic based on the real market
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain-based Elections? on: November 28, 2019, 02:14:26 PM
With the advent of smart contracts, it's possible to create decentralized applications which allow people to vote on candidates of their choice. The censorship-resistant and decentralized nature of Blockchain technology, makes voting online practical like never before. After all, it's nearly impossible to rig results in Blockchain-based elections.

Now, it's up to worldwide governments to decide whenever they'll adopt Blockchain technology or not in order to improve the way we vote. Ethereum is the best public blockchain that would serve the bill nicely if governments adopt it for elections. So far, I haven't heard of a government announcing Blockchain-based elections within the mainstream world. If this becomes a reality, I guess that there would be no need to vote for candidates of our choice in a physical manner, as everything can be done online. In the US, it'd be amazing to vote for a presidential candidate using Blockchain technology. The possibilities here would be endless. But it seems, that the government doesn't trust Blockchain technology yet.

Do you think that in the future we'll be able to experience Blockchain-based elections more thoroughly? Or is it a bad idea? What are your thoughts? Huh

blockchain for election i think it won't happen because with blockchain everything will be open and everyone could see anyone's vote. So i think it will be more sensitive since the people selection should kept by the person itself, and also it won't happen because there are many dirty politics out there and they can not do some cheating if they held election with blockchain
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Signal Premium?? on: November 28, 2019, 01:05:39 PM
Is it profitable to join the premium trading signal ??  I was offered by my friend to join him on the note having to pay a few dollars, I am still doubtful about this but I want to get into the premium signal once to find out the trade in it.

Not worth it because you won't gain knowledge about trading and it won't always make profits from you. So, it's just a gambling, you know nothing about the knowledge and your profits is still random. You better do your own analysis if you gain loss at least you got the experience.
173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Coin PUMP ? on: November 28, 2019, 08:45:13 AM
What preparations do you make to see the coins to be pumped?
Are you going to wait for a higher upward trend or choose to sell when you have a chance?

It will depends on my analysis before because i always determined on what price that i want to sell, so i won't panic and FOMO when the whales are playing with the price, i already have the backup plan
174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: GameCredits (GAME) - Up 230% - What Happened? on: November 27, 2019, 02:07:10 AM
Anyone knows what happened with GameCredits (GAME) price today? It's up 230% and I cannot find out why. That's more than double the price in

Many altcoins pumped lately while bitcoin's price is suffering, this is an usual thing , there must be a game that played by the whales out there they sold their btc to pump other alts. If they move to play with the new projects, i think it will be the ico/ieo era again soon, but we don't know what is their plan next
175  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top 5 Ways to Earn Crypto While You Sleep on: November 26, 2019, 01:55:45 PM
lending? are you seriously? I don't think this is a safety measure. there have been too many great losses from Bitcoinnect and most of the other bad businesses. This is really not a good advice. Instead of having a lot of capital, we should do a mining or staking work. It's one of the most profitable ways out of the way you set.

Lending hype is over and most of the lending projects are scam and confirmed as a ponzi. So, i think nowadays no people are interested with lending except new people in crypto who don't know the history of lending programs like bitconnect and other ponzi scheme lending projects. Nowadays passive income from crypto is from staking , but with less profits. Most of them are just 15-20% per year which make sense compared to lending which can earn 1-2% each day.
176  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Weekly Update: Bulls Last Stand on: November 26, 2019, 08:04:16 AM
This is end of the year, many people switch their bitcoin asset into currency and start again in January 2020. No more speculations, just wait until next year and start again with MACD indicator to know where market will goes. I can't replace open order because half fund already stuck, so I'll wait until below $8k to start again.

The price seems to be rising right now after the correction but i'm sure this just a bull trap from the whales and make people buying again then the price will crash lower and the whales are buying more.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you have done? on: November 26, 2019, 05:43:20 AM
If 2019 should have been reversed back to 2017, just these once what would decisions will you revert?

I would sell all the ICO tokens that i hold, because when the price crashed on 2018 i'm holding the tokens in my wallet and not selling it until the price go almost zero. I wish i sold them on 2017 when the price of these tokens are high
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Not Be a Medium of Exchange on: November 26, 2019, 02:31:37 AM
Bitcoin is one pioneer of cryptocurrency that can know and know many people. The games in the online offer make it more fun and we have. Bitcoin prices dropped it was reasonable. Because every year must have slots and there will be down posted there.

It almost every december or end of the year bitcoin price will be bleeding because of many people cash out their bitcoin to spend for holiday or something like that. It's usual thing happened in crypto. And the price will recover at Q1 of next year. So, for new investors investing on december is always the best decission to make
179  Economy / Exchanges / Re: LATOKEN locked my account with strange rules. on: November 25, 2019, 03:53:54 PM
I was trading normally (scalping), suddenly my account was locked and they said I was manipulating the order book.
until now my account is still locked.

You should contact the exchange support, maybe you're buying and selling a low volume coins and you do it repeatably so the exchange detected a malicious activity there, i'm sure you can get your account back if you contact the support with evidence
180  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Weekly Update: $7k Lost, Bulls Vanished. Will The Gold Fractal Play Out? on: November 25, 2019, 01:26:42 PM
Bitcoin has passed $ 7,000. I believe there will be an improvement in the next few days, but what strategy is used today is that we look at market movements and then analyze the techniques on the charts and what happens well to buy bitcoin at this time is still good because there is still hope for the best suggestions good from me.

I think it won't have an improvement in few days, i think bitcoin is not reach it's dip yet this year. But most of people predictions bitcoin will recover next year and it will create a new price high because of the halving effect. I think the whales are creating this condition make bitcoin look like low price but in fact they want to buy bitcoin in low price so they can get much profits
