Hello world! It's been a while since ive been inactive in the past few weeks of airdrop since my mom has been hospitalized and been through a rough month because of it. the new rules will give more advantage to early airdrop participants as they have more onions on their accounts, which will give them more shares in the revised airdrop calculations.
the new rules will also give advantage to those who wanted to join airdrop program since it would be easier to join and mods will be less strict when filtering those applicants. the major downside is that new airdrop participants will receive lesser amount of airdrop since their wallets are expected to contain low amount of onions.
the new rules will affect those members who are recently accepted and received just a few airdrop (1x-3x). under old rules, they'll receive same amount of airdrop as those early airdrop participants, considering they have same rank.
overall, the new rules will give more rewards to those early airdrop participants and less advantage to those late participants. the only way to counter this effect is for the late participants to accumulate more onions by buying at exchange.
let the new rules roll on and we'll see the effect of this on deeponion community. it's good to have some rules change from time to time. dev team are working constantly to new rules to experiment with.
there might be some early airdrop members who are still getting away with multiple airdrops. now that with the new rules, they'll be getting even more. i hope that dev team and deeponion security experts will continuously monitor those who have multiple accounts.

So this means people can't even join deep onion anymore now?
Unless they buy onions?... That does not seem fair
Maybe because I already bought, but that sounds like a very good idea. So many people just want free coins without putting anything on the line. new applicants must buy 100 onions, which cost around 70 usd as of now. but once they've joined airdrop program, they'll be getting alot more. so i think it wont be a problem. rewards goes to serious members. deeponion community needs more serious members who will put much passion to this project. |

Focusing on anonymity will inevitably bring in the black market crowd, I'm not too concerned it's not like the devs officially support a darknet marketplace or anything. Privacy is far more important of and a bigger issue than drugs will every be though, it's good that ONION fights for it.
Yeah well there will always be black market, even in KYC systems, they will just use any other mecanism like identity theft and others. This argument have been used over and over by many "system advocate", check this very pertinent video about money properties: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KENUquseALwThat 17 minutes will be a good investment, believe me! before, there used to be silkroad black market using TOR network. they used bitcoins as payment system. fbi tracked and traced bitcoin transactions, maybe they use the IP, then caught some of the blackmarket sellers selling illegal stuffs. if there's still blackmarket today, they can use deeponion as payment system to totally be anonymous when payment transaction is concerned. using deeponion as payment system will also boost onion price. |

I hope the DeepVault can include links which is great and no need to download the file only to scan it for less-hassle work.
we have plan to make it online web service (without need to download) after that we will contact for some download sites to introduce our blockchain service. Somebody in background working on this in the dev team. the problem to the included links to the files being verified - if the files are altered. the links can be just a reference, but not guaranteed to be the actual file. the files listed in the link still needed to be verified with deepvault. if the online file storage can provide unique unalterable link, then it would be cool. |

Im also very excited! In the DO-forum Dev said they will provide more data "soon"  But theres already a thread with a link to the vague answer what it might be about yes,it's been alluded to before. it's a way to get rewards for good input in the forum. a way to earn more deeponion or to send to others for their good work. maybe like a tipping system On the one hand i love that idea! On the other hand, its hard for the more quiet guys like me But hey, its an improvement never the less. And the more spread Onions get, the better for all of us believers! Again a good sign how this coin goes straight forward! this means more work for deeponion.org moderators. we need more good quality mods who will be committed and supportive to this growing community. |

Thank you all for your great support. It is a real honor to be a part of this community. I will get wrinkles around my eyes from constant smiling. (That gives me an idea, i will try to make something from that ) I promise that I will continue to try my best to support this project. I think I'm becoming addicted!  good that we have another member who pledges support for deeponion. this community is growing day by day, and we need more members. the more the better. but it's important that we have selected few good onioners than large dumpers or who are just after airdrops. this deeponion army are already established, like a chess game. you can find any role suited for you (horse, bishop, rook, pawn), we need every kind of supporter, so help the community by participating and contributing in any way you can. good luck. |

Just found out about this. Holy crap. TOR mixed with PoS and PoW. I just stumbled on this a few minutes ago. I am mad excited to take time to research and begin collecting this coin. From initial read of the main website and the first page of the bitcointalk, it's got the privacy I've been looking for in a crypto that doesn't seem to be hunting for pure profit i.e. ICO route. Will be invested in this!
this is just the initial developing stage. tor with pow with pos. this project is still on improvement phase, with lots of features being targeted by the dev team. the dev team is putting much effort to add new features to make this coin better than any existing coin pound for pound. i strongly believe that the current value of onion is very undervalued considering the effort by the dev team and the noise deeponion is producing in this forum. if you have time, support deeponion by joining airdrop. if you have extra money/coins, support deeponion by buying some from exchanges. you will likely be rewarded in the future for having these onions. |

Is it a reputed exchange? It seems they just made this site in 2017 (if I am right). In fact, they made their twitter account only in September 2017. We have already three or more instances of cheating from new exchanges or online wallet. I think we should be very careful now. They're wrecking out over 200btc per day trading volume and have big names tweeting and promoting them. Most exchanges dont ever get that big. Did some research and no issues thus far from anyone. Ok. Just liked, retweeted and commented to add DeepOnion I did the same. Its a new exchange but anything to help spread some Onions! Keep up the good work my brothers and sisters! great news that we have another exchange site listing onions. i hope this one is legit. i suggest to start at low volume first, probably around 100 onions in each transaction. and to withdraw coins right after trading. this would decrease damage in case the exchange site got hacked or run away. anyway, this is a good happy news for all onioners. |

I saw a lot of people saying that we will see a big dump after the final airdrop (40º airdrop). In my opinion I don´t think that will happen because the dev is working to create value with new features and other stuffs.
The people will keep their Onions if they see that they have a good product and different than the rest. Of course we have a lot of work to do but I think it´s very possible.
I´m not worried about the price so I´ll keep all my Onions. Agree with you. Of course, some guys will sell onions after 40 round, but most of holders will keep, because Onions - very good product. We can be #1 anonymous coin. LETS KEEP UP I think people who has been in airdrop for so long will most likely continue to hold onions. The don't just hold for getting airdrop, but because they see the value of Onion in the future. I wI'll continue holding onions. I didn't check the price now, because the price does not mean anything for now. All it matter is if the price of Onion increase, there will be a dump. i think there would be more exchanges listing onions before 40th airdrop. and the more exchanges list onion, the higher the price it will get. and if the dev team continuous to pour in lots of effort to add features on deeponion, the higher the value it will also get. so if the price of onion gets higher and higher, lets say 10-50 usd before 40th airdrop, i think there would be many who would be tempted to sell their onions before the final airdrop. |

yeah its good new users come here,but some new comers dont undertsand why they cant join to airdrop easly why dev has made this rules?,i was here from start and have seen how much users were liying here joined with many account,afther this actions , team start be very carefully with newcomers and i think we need that.
Yes it's a fine line between being too strict with the rules and being too naive when accepting new participants. If you are too strict some people who meet the rules and are qualified can be rejected, but if you are naive then the airdrop will be full of cheaters and multi-accounts. If I were to decide, i would suggest to: -Break down the number of posts on bitcointalk to 1 per day / 7 per week. This way this forum won't be spammed with many useless posts of users who are trying to write anything useful. - Leave the rest of the requirements the same, as they are actually not that hard to meet, in case you have access to a mobile device / computer every day. Still being THAT active on bitcointalk is difficult. NO to "1 per day / 7 per week" suggestion. the existing 10-post rule is ok by all means. many members are not online every single day of the week due to work and other commitments. with the existing rule, some members may be out of town for 1-2 days and can still manage to make 10 posts within the week. regarding to limiting to 7 per week, many active members are posting alot of message in answering the inquiries of members. these active members (like bykardinal) usually have hundreds of helpful posts in a week. |

Hey, can somebody tell me what burst-posting means? I just got my first airdrop yesterday and want to make sure I will not get banned from it.  Greetings!  hi ligrev, congrats for making the airdrop. i've seen you quite active in this thread and it's good. burst posting generally means having alot of posts in a short period of time. in deeponion airdrop terms, it means trying to reach 10 post target in short period of time (like 1-2 days), then having no posts on other days of the week. if you're making 10-20 posts within 1-2 hrs each day, i think it's burst posting, but it's ok since you're not doing it trying to reach the 10-post rule. |

This is the day!I have applied for the airdrop. Finally! I was waiting for 3 weeks for wallet address change, so that I can apply. Now I have to wait for acceptance. I am really hoping that they will process applications before the next airdrop. If they can't. I will not open this thread in Friday and Saturday. Sorry, but I can't! One of the rules for airdrop is to be active and to build better DeepOnion community. I am "wearing" DeepOnion signature almost 4 weeks. Don't mind that. I even like it! I am active on DeepOnion community forum, this thread and other threads. Trying to promote DO on some of them, but nothing bullish. My wallet is running and supporting DeepOnion network. But that was not enough for me. I still wanted something bigger. When I look how people are creative here, that is really amazing. Unfortunatelly I don't have either skills or talents to make some beautiful logos, wallpapers or movies. For few days I was thinking and thinking how I can contribute? What does community need now the most? And then one day I got idea. For now, most of the people here is focused on the airdrops and learning about DeepOnion. So I made the tutorial "How To Receive Smartphone Notification When Your Wallet Receive Airdrop?" ( https://deeponion.org/community/threads/how-to-receive-smartphone-notification-when-your-wallet-receive-airdrop.4339). And I am so proud on it! I have now another idea to incorporate that feature in the wallet (only idea, no skills). One skilled Android developer is on the thread who is willing to create one Android app for the community/forum. One sparkle can give two, two can give four. And then we can warm up the crypto world! So, all of you, try to dig out some idea from your head. And now you can be notified/surprised when you receive airdrop! hi vlado, nice to see you contributing something for deeponion. i was just like you when i was blacklisted - 7 weeks until i got unbanned! i also don't have much skills, but i did continue to post and participate in ways i can. so never lose hope, continue doing what you're capable to help this community, and you'll be rewarded. regarding the earlier contribution you did, it's a push-notification alert. that means android phones need to be online to receive the notification. can we do something more, like receiving SMS instead of push notification everytime a new transaction is found on wallet? this would be helpful for those who are in areas with no internet coverage but have gsm network coverage. |
