It's officially Friday local time, so we're starting the Black Friday sale of this year at Bitlasers.com. 20% off all orders over $100!

Use code BLACK in shopping cart.

BitLasers.com

Some examples of prices after the discount:

1300mW 445nm Blue: $95
4500mW 465nm Light Blue: $263
800mW 520nm Forest Green: $263

We're a little low on stock for some items actually but FYI even if it should run out at some point, it's possible to check out and get the lower price anyway, if so the product will ship as soon as it's ready.

We will again be participating in the bitcoin black friday event on Nov 25th: http://www.bitcoinblackfriday.com/
Will I have to wait until then to see what kind of sales you'll be putting on? Or can I get a sneak peek Wink

It will be similar to the last few years which were sitewide sales of around 15-25%

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar Opened , your first impressions ? on: April 18, 2016, 08:26:56 AM
After trying it for a week or two I think the concept is good but that it is not quite ready.

Biggest complaints:

1. The need for the program to stay open for people to access your store. This is a big hurdle, paying for and setting up a VPS is a PITA. Specialized hosting services will become available for cheap eventually I suppose, but that kind of defeats the purpose in a way too.

2. I don't like the window UI at all. It might look ok for a Mac user, but for me it took far too long to even figure out that the weird red, yellow and green dots were the buttons to manipulate the window, and even now that I have used them a lot I still think they are awful, way too small and placed strangely. On the client for Windows I would want and expect the standard Windows GUI.
It is also highly annoying that the window can not minimize to system tray rather than task bar.

3. It's very buggy. The most breaking bug is that I find that sometimes the server seem to shut down without warning even when the window is open, and I don't notice it until hours later when I try to refresh randomly. But there are also plenty of smaller bugs, like some messages refuse to go away when I click "clear conversation", and at first it was impossible to type the symbol @ on some keyboards (this is fixed now).

Do you have the 2800mW 445nm Blue Laser Parts Bundle in stock? I plan to buy that. Also 30% discount would be nice.

Btw I dont have any idea but will this laser be somewhat illegal in buying, since they are powerful and can potentially be used to harm others?

I want it shipped to India.

The 2800mW model should be back in stock in about one week.

I can't speak for the laws in India, but I try to make it legal to import to most countries by screwing two parts of the laser apart so that it can be classified as electronic parts rather than a complete laser, and almost no packages have been reported confiscated, maybe 1%.

See http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/262370915548

If no one has bid on the auction we can do the sale directly. If someone have bid on the ebay listing, please bid yourself and we can arrange bitcoin payment if you win.

Hi Grix
I am interested in this product. You have only one ?
You are a reseller or a member of development team?
there is the possibility for a discount if you sell outside ebay (and payment with btc?)
Thank you

I backed the kickstarter so I got it. I ordered a DIY barebones kit but it got upgraded to a normal developer kit but outside some tinkering I'm not really a proper developer. If someone is interested it may be possible to transfer the developer license too. So I only have one, I'm not a reseller.

If you want it directly outside of ebay you can have it for $250 directly which is a discount from the ebay buy it now price. Or $180 plus shipping after the ebay auction runs out and no higher bids are placed.

Have you considered selling these on OpenBazaar when it opens?

You still need a server for it to run on but it may make it easier on you in the long run.

Yes, I have definitely thought about that and I will probably do it, but I haven't looked into the details of running such a store yet.

18  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] Spondoolies-Tech SP30 4.5 Thps in GND hosting center - $590 OBO on: February 07, 2016, 12:34:47 PM
Spondoolies-Tech SP30 running at approximately 4500 GH/s at 2900 watts for sale. See here for actual hashing power stats from pool: https://i.imgur.com/fTCJi2k.png

Price is US$590 or best offer.

This is currently hosted at Great North Data in Canada, which has some of the lowest rates in the industry and uses clean power. The current hosting contract costs US$180 per month, which can be transferred to you, or the machine can be shipped anywhere in the world (but you will have to pay for the shipping). Mining efficiency and thus hosting/power cost can probably be further improved by underclocking the machine.

The hosting is already paid for all of February.

Payment in bitcoin preferred, or paypal if you pay the fees (about 6%)

The machine is high quality, I've had no problems with it since purchase, very stable.
19  Bitcoin / Pools / Don't mine on Eligius on: January 16, 2016, 06:30:29 AM
Just a warning. I just asked a question in the eligius thread, and the owner of seems completely out of touch with the current happenings in bitcoin, namely the forking issues. He refuses to answer questions on whether he would follow the most popular chain in the event that a hardfork occurs, and banned me from his thread after I pressed him, because it's a very simple yet extremely important question to answer. Very worrisome behavior. I fear he is liable to mine on the original chain even if the majority switches, out of spite at what he adamantly calls "altcoins", jeopardizing his user's money. If you value your money I wouldn't mine there, especially if a hardfork begins to seem likely in the near future.
