So I got my partial refund for the GB sp30. And a few hours later the bitcoin price falls 5%, You think maybe that was not a coincidence? That the price fell because many people who just got their refund sold the btc?

Keep in mind these
1) Doesn't include PSU, shipping, screws or standoffs
2) Comes disassembled
3) No warranty or support because the company doesn't exist any more
4) That price assumes overclocking that not everyone will be able to achieve. Standard performance of 700GHps means over $0.41/GHps
5) Will take *at least* a week before it is shipped, and that is after GB is finalized, I'm guessing these won't be in the customers hands until at least 3 weeks to a month from now
I'd pay no more than $0.2/GHps under these conditions.

Do you ship to South Africa?
Yes, I ship worldwide. Is this one legal tho? I cannot know the individual laws of every country. It is possible that the assembled laser would be technically illegal, but the importing itself should be legal, as the laser is sold semi-disassembled and can thus be considered merely electrical components which are certainly legal.

The question doesn't really make sense because there are several layers to the cost. Do you count only the price for the manufacturing of the chips and electronics? If so, realize that the bulk of the cost is actually a one-time sum for development (NRE) which can be millions of dollars independent of how many chips you eventually produce. And of course, even combining both of these, a company can't just sell the chips at cost and survive economically, there are other costs like wages, administration and bureaucracy, taxes, advertising, shipping, etc.

2016 blocks average right now suggests a -3% adjustments, and only five days to go. I'd say that yes, by now there is a pretty big chance the difficulty will actually go down. For that not to happen the hashrate needs to see a sudden increase pretty soon and sustained for the rest of the difficulty period.

Bitcoin Black Friday last year and the year before that were huge successes. Will it happen this year too? If so, I think the organizers should make some announcements asap. November is fast approaching, and their website is still showing 2013's info: http://www.bitcoinblackfriday.com/

Can anyone tell me how to make an SP10 run relatively quiet? I read a few things about running them down at 1000w, is that safe. Even if its just at 1Th/s I am fine with that. What is your advice?
Send it to a hosting facility.

When ordering from Sponds in the future I'd expect the order to ship at the very last day of the month. This is what has happened for both august and september batches now apparently.

Just as a heads up, the code will expire in around one week from now!

What are you guys's hashrate? My sp30 runs at around 4600 Ghps 24h average, is that below, above or precisely average?

one more now. And done! Thanks everyone! Use code twitter for 15% off! (can be applied in the shopping cart)

Yay, my GB miner is finally up and running it seems. I take back my post that sponds wouldn't be able to ship in August, they narrowly made it after all

So as the weekend is here, I guess it's safe to say that my GB unit will not ship in august after all, as repeatedly reassured. Not that a few extra days really matter, but it is a bit disappointing. ST's word have lost a bit of credibility as far as I'm concerned.
Order # and TXID ? Order 1217. I paid with bank transfer, don't think I have a txid. What is the Titan hosting? Is that the DC in USA? In which case I ordered that, #2139

Common sense.
The best estimation source is your own brain. Look at the difficulty fluctuation trends for the last few weeks and combine it with the raw values since the last adjustment and you should get a very good picture. The reason bitcoinwisdom was off this adjustment is because it uses the last difficulty adjustment as a variable in its calculations, and the last adjustment was clearly a statistical anomaly, way higher than usual. Also, the difficulty had a sharp spike right at the adjustment. Usually spikes like this is due to random chance and subsides a bit afterwards, as it did this time too. Knowing this, and combining it with a quick look at actual graphs should have made people know that bitcoinwisdoms prediction was useless.

Order 121x here, no email yet. But I paid a bit late, within 2-3 days of ordering I believe, via bank transfer.
