1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: August 13, 2018, 12:57:10 PM

I have submitted a email to editor@cointelegraph.com with the above twitter link and that they must get in contact with the development team to discuss. More people should get in contact with them and get the news out to the crypto public. It's about time that the team is finally revealing how good witnessing is to the world. We should also do our part to help.

It won't leave bittrex until it has a way of everyone in the world to access Gulden, and in fact all this noise has created an awesome opportunity to buy some cheap gulden  Smiley

But people prefer to live in fear and follow emotions than think rational, that's why many people lose money in Crypto, Gulden is clearly a extremely solid coin for a cheap price, it's clearly an easy 100% profit in a matter of days/weeks, but people prefer to let emotions drive them.. oh well, better for the people that are smart Grin

Removing btc pairings would be impossible without Gulden going closed source. Others like myself would eventually get Gulden onto new exchanges as there is a market for it. They blaming the btc connection there on marketing failure, really immature.

I agree on your first PoV, Gulden will have to become centralized if they prevented distributed services from adding them. The last part is incorrect, marketing isn't a failure because there is no marketing yet. That is a big difference, HP and Yahoo had marketing failures and weren't in touch with what mainstream wanted.

Going closed source could work if they focus 100% on the Netherlands. It will suck for everyone else that had global aspirations for Gulden.

Further to the above I do recall a post mentioning that marketing will start in phase 5 of the update?

You can keep posting screenshots and leave out the comment where Remco says he is up for it once Nocks has usd/gbp pairing...

I would be fine with that but if the btc pairing were removed I would have no use for my Gulden. Are they serious about removing it?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: August 08, 2018, 06:07:18 PM
Was this a poll done by the entire dev team wanting out of btc or a community member?

EDIT: nvm it was mentioned in a earlier post it was Rijk.

@JimJimJimJim: What I also don't agree with, is that we should starting with namecalling again.

and I dont agree with your tactic of giving pissman respect which just makes him seem more credible dont expect others to join you in helping damage the coin. the things he has said on this forum over the last year are completely disgusting and deserve no respect

I do have one criticism for Gulden is that it has followed an isolationist trajectory within crypto and understandably because the industry is and was fill of scammers, however there is some good people within the industry and it's unfair that the good people out there aren't exposed to Gulden. I get the impression the Guldens teams attitude is everyone else has bad intentions, which is not the case. Nothing is black and white and purely evil or good, the team must not be scared of expanding into different areas because of fear of the bad out there.

Everyone knows Gulden should not be sitting on page 3 on coinmarketcap and the above is the reason in my opinion.

How I see it: I'm suprised about how open and positive Rijk was in the slack when he got asked about the premine. I understood that the 650BTC we hear about were raised by handing out Gulden shares which would be a part of the 110M NLG premine that is already spent, am I wrong with this assumption?

The reaction of Rijk and the transparency he gave is not a bad thing to me. I can conclude for myself that I'm fine with how it is and that some shadows are lifted. Rijk having 60M of Gulden will have a huge incentive to keep the price of it stable for long term because that's how we'll have a secured income. He'd have a hard time to drop that stash without increased volume or he'd just crash the price, which can't be what he wants.

What I can't confirm is that Rijk cuts through questioneers like the grim reaper. The persons who asked are still in the slack.

@JimJimJimJim: What I also don't agree with, is that we should starting with namecalling again.

Didn't you know, RichPissman was going to be paying the expenses for development, if Rijk knew he was offering, a premine wouldn't of been needed or is blockchain only for people who are already rich?

Can we at least talk about the great innovation this coin has done in Witnessing instead of saying the price is too high. It should be where DASH is on marketcap. Is this community that desperate to keep selling?

This community is extremely poor and you will see in 7 hrs the price go under 700, if they can make 1% profit for some cocaine this Friday night, they will.

I have looked at the block explorer , not many coins being sent in the last 50 blocks.

Currently there is   408,00,000/48,000,000 = 11.7% of coins being witnessed.  What does everyone predict will be the average amount of coins being witnessed? Still a lot of people creating accounts and locking coins for witnessing.  With 20% of all mined blocks going to witnesses and with more and more coins being locked, what will it take for the witnesses to drive the price up?  What was the number of accounts and coins people expected to be witnessed, was it above or below everyone's expected expectations?

When the word gets out to the Dutch population that they can earn interest with holding Gulden and not having to trade there will be a rush to get some coins before the price is too high. I also look @ Gulden's twitter and though it's not being announced on bitcointalk there is a constant flow of new merchants accepting Gulden. Gulden gets to 1 Euro, you witness 20 coins, that is a lot of buying power. At 1 Euro per coin Gulden would still not make the top 30 on coinmarketcap which makes the 1 Euro price very possible in the future.

You earn Gulden for a fixed / locked time which forces you to reserve your capital while earning more coins which can be used to spend with.

I tested the minimum amount of 5000 for 3 years or 10 000 for 1 month and there is weighting scale where the minimum amount decreases as you add more time.

The maximum amount of witness accounts possible with the available supply is between 40800 and 81600 which is already impossible as the whales are witnessing with much larger amounts to get the best returns.

The witnessing concept was well thought out by the development team and besides the other added benefits of secure 1 confirmation payments and no chance of a 51% attack.

Ok, at the risk (don't really care btw) of getting hatred from the fanboys again, here is an actual serious question.

Where have all the premine notices gone and why hasn't anyone raised questions about that anymore? I'm asking because I was curious if some of the premine might have gone into witnessing. Nowhere on the official Gulden sites and channels I can find any links or even pointers towards the premine.

Is no one curious about where the premine resides anymore? Doesn't anyone care what happened to that bit fat chunk of Guldens (almost 1/3 of Guldens in circulation atm)Huh

I'm not trying to derail anything here, just wondering how they got away with having one of the largest premined coins around, without anyone bothering with it's status and whereabouts anymore.

Does anyone have a list of addresses where we can track the remaining premine?

Please, not this pre-mine again. If I would get 20 NLG for every time you mentioned this I would have been on the Bahama’s right now. All ico’s are preminded, nobody gives a shit anymore.
But since you do, with just under 10% of nlg in witness now, it can’t involve the 1/3 you mentioned. It doesn’t ADD up.

Jean.Luc what is the real mood in the development camp when it comes to marketing. I only read what people say here, is that Rijk think marketing in the crypto industry is mainly lying to people, however now that they have something unique and innovative to tell the truth about is there plans to eventually market Gulden?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 12, 2018, 04:57:31 AM
I bet Rich doesn't do this to the 100s of coins where the developers were anonymous and left for dead with a helpless community.

Let's try get some perspective here, if you invest in Gulden or Dash you are one of the lucky ones that didn't get caught out by people who only wanted your money to run away with.

Not sure how Richpissman expects Malcolm to live if he is full time working on Gulden?

Do the clients of Richpissman's company also think he should be working for free? Let's stop with the kindergarden discussions and get back to reality.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 02, 2018, 11:52:48 AM
This question goes to someone with some knowledge of crypto investors.  There has been some fundraising campaigns to advertise Gulden.  Footgolf is the big one that just got funded.  It didn't seem to be to successful getting the Gulden name out there, i could be wrong.  I believed Jean-Luc mentioned it cost money to get an article on cointelegraph.  Would getting an article on cointelegraph be helpful in getting the Gulden name out there and show the crypto community all the good things Gulden offers?  What is the best way to advertise how good Gulden is?  Advertising ideas would be appreciated.

Actually putting down money for a Cointelegraph article to get the attention of (mostly bankrupt) crypto traders who don’t give a sh*t about what they invest in...not a good idea! I rather target the rest of the world, daily consumers and companies and tell them about how they can use Gulden to save on banking costs. And tell them how easy it is to transfer money to relatives abroad instead of expensive Western Union transfers. Or tell companies what a big advantage it is to KNOW that your supplier got paid, instantly, and that he has no excuse anymore to not sent you the goods TODAY.

So let’s focus on what you can do with Gulden, than rather on how it works. That will help adoption a lot more. But I love the way you all try to contribute to this, and thinking of new ways to promote Gulden.

Also people and businesses can start earning interest on their Gulden soon. Less then 2 weeks away according to the dev release . More then the Euro banks offer.

Great coin this coin is better only electronic Gulden. Originally for me, NLG was a very expensive coin, but I was just a beginner in crypto. Now I would be happy to buy some money, but the market is full of new coins with more interesting ideas. Because I believe need to be updated. Mining stability is a plus, but also the strength of the habit. Thanks.

I have a lot of good ideas for a coin if I started one. The problem is I don't have the skills to turn those ideas into reality. This is the problem with the crypto market. Scammers are selling people ideas, they dump and then create a new coin with more ideas, dump... you get the picture.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: July 01, 2018, 09:34:23 AM
Gulden is the one coin where the working class got it right and the elites made bad investments. The rich fell for the hype themselves and their money is also tied up in trashy projects. They have all been scammed by false promises.

This is why I only invest in Gulden and Dash where development is done, Dash has better marketing and is big in places like Mexico which explains the marketcap difference. I believe if Rijk sat down and promoted Gulden to established and legit companies they would also invest in Gulden.

It still amazes me how low this coins value is, I wonder if a international rebranding would help?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hidden GEMS with low marketcap on: May 18, 2018, 11:20:31 AM
Gulden should be top 20 due to it's development but ranked 260. It should be similar to Dash.

June 28th they releasing a massive innovative update.

PoW2,SegSig (more then twice as good as SegWit), Sonic.  All in one release. Huge!

https://dev.gulden.com/

Rank 260! lol

Haven't checked in on Gulden in awhile. Rank 260 currency killing it! Well done to the devs for making it happen!!
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] The great Gulden thread on: April 17, 2018, 08:05:21 AM
New GuldenTrader Exchange open for business.
Which coins should they add, besides the obvious NLG?

https://twitter.com/guldentrader/status/986148698613866496?s=21

Guldentrader exchange will put pressure on the developers to release 2.0 sooner, if guldentrader starts doing more volume then Nocks , Nocks will also have to add other coins to compete. Devs will be under extreme pressure to deliver because of this.

Not my cup of..ehh coffee.

But they offer a 10% discount on Gulden-shop.nl now. Code: verjaardag
Nice, if you still want to order that pre-installed raspberry Pi for Witnessing...

Good possibility these will be sold quickly when an official date has been committed too.

you can kiss that official date good bye. it will be either there unannounced or not at all

Anything after June makes Dash a better dev team. Have to respect how fast Evan Duffield did masternodes and evolution will be done by July.

Gulden devs need to speed up or they will always be one step behind.

I see a lot of hate towards the traders not valuing Gulden correctly. Let's talk again when PoW2 and whatever other millions of features they added to it eventually releases.

The problem isn't the traders , the problem is the PoW2 release keeps escaping us.

Hate on traders if things look the same after the release, until then shut your fucking mouths you whiney bitches.

I do agree with this , excluding the profanity. While it's good a Sneak Peak of PoW2 has been revealed and the devs are planning ahead this can't replace the actual development completing.
I do appreciate the extra communication from the developers lately and I am personally willing to wait few months without worrying , at the same time don't expect traders to have the same confidence as me.
