1661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be pulled by the hype of meme coins on: June 04, 2023, 11:23:36 PM
your way of not following memecoin is correct, I have also done that since 2020 until now I have never bought any memecoin and hold this memecoin,
because I saw some of my friends experience rugpull on memecoin and I learned from there that memecoin that is currently hype should not touched.
The rugpull scheme often happens on new meme coins, so we must be careful to join new meme coins. However, it mostly happens when meme coins was hype, it was the time when Elon Musk often tweeted about Dogecoin in the last bullrun season. It is no longer a trend of meme coins, so people are rarely talking about meme coins anymore nowadays.

If there are people who still experienced losing money because of rugpull on new meme coins, it means those people never learned or never got the lessons from previous rugpull cases. It is clear that meme coins don't deserve to invest, they have no clear future and most of them are scams only.

1662  Economy / Economics / Re: If they have the solution, why are banks still failing? on: June 04, 2023, 10:53:30 PM
I think they are just using the momentum to reduce the number of banks. There is no need for as many banks as there are now. Central banks want to increase their role and influence and are trying to capture the initiative that they lost earlier. That may be one of the goals of the crisis situation in the world.
Do you think the collapse of some banks was planned already?  Shocked
I don't know how many banks are needed, not sure if we should have fewer banks only. However, more banks mean competition, that's leads to better service/quality for the banks because they want to be the best. If we have fewer banks, there will be higher domination or a monopoly of a  few banks for the customers in certain areas. I don't think it will be a good sign for the future of banks.

1663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 04, 2023, 10:41:54 PM
As glittering young star at Chelsea who wanted new challenges and also become one of the best players of the game of football it was understandable to me after Eden Harzard left Chelsea because he wanted to play in the biggest club in the history books f football.
But unfortunately for Harzard, he didn't fulfil his potentials because of the unending injuries he was having at Madrid. I'm a Chelsea fan but it's totally not acceptable to think that Harzard made a wrong choice by switching to Madrid
Indeed. Hazard was a Chelsea superstar, he contributed many assists and goals for Chelsea in his era. His career was rising quickly and significantly in Chelsea, which made Real Madrid sign him at that time. Hazard also wanted to play at the highest level of football with more superstars like Ronaldo and Bale in Real Madrid. Sadly, Hazard often got injured and he failed to play with his best form again after he arrived in Real Madrid. I don't know what makes him drop severely his fitness and his performance. He may not fit to play with Real Madrid squad, or not suitable to play in La Liga. He must be very disappointed with his situation in Real Madrid, surely he also must regret his decision to move from Chelsea.

Finally, after years of playing in top levels teams and having good performances most of the time, Ibrahimovic retired at 41y old. He was a player who played in teams like Barcelona, PSG, Inter Milan, and many other teams however in Ac Milan he was mostly absent because of his situation.
https://football-italia.net/ibrahimovic-announces-retirement-from-football/
He decided the right way, it is not a good age anymore to play as a footballer. Recently, he was busy with his injury problem. So finally he realized that he is unable to play a longer time as a professional player. I'm sure Ibrahimovic will begin his journey as a coach soon. He seems still interested in football, he will be still involved in football field.

1664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin is dead, long live ... what? on: June 03, 2023, 11:52:48 PM
Are you sure that it's not surviving? I think that you have to look again at mempool. Yeah, it's annoying that it has become quite expensive for the transaction fees thanks to ordinals but that doesn't mean it's not surviving. Because if you say so then there's no way that everyone will keep up with Bitcoin and will stay on this.
It is only his speculation, Bitcoin will stay as long as we have crypto market. Bitcoin cannot be separated from crypto world because it is the main coin. I believe crypto may disappear if we have no more Bitcoin. It is like the soul of all crypto coins, not only as the mother of crypto coins. Just imagine, who will trust other crypto coins if the main coin (BTC) dies?

Regarding the transfer fees, I know it is increasing but it still can be acceptable. I'm sure the transfer fees will be decreasing in the future, just keep patient until it decreases. In my opinion, OP thinks BTC will die because the price seems difficult to increase now, it is not about the transfer fees. I don't know how OP is really sure about that, he probably doesn't understand about the bearish-bullish season. He is not aware that we are still in the bearish season, that's why the price still can't increase quickly and significantly.

1665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $90,000 all in bet on: June 03, 2023, 11:38:08 PM
I am sorry for your loss. I hope you take the lesson about your emotions.
Not only about emotion, but he must also get a big lesson to avoid being greedy. He actually won $90,000 and he has an opportunity to stop betting temporarily. Ideally, he must enjoy more than 75% of the money and only bet again less than 25% of $90,000. Or he can start betting again with $5,000 - $10,000. I think it is enough to allocate for his next betting.

Another thing, OP has a lack of experience in managing his money. It is very risky for a gambler who has no ability to manage his money. A gambler can end up losing everything if never learn how to manage money.

I know how you feel when you put it all in. Maybe God is still with you and still generous to give to you the winning. But, you must take control of your emotions dude, this is gambling where you play with a round ball that can run anywhere.
Yep. God already gave him big money. He should thanks to God and stop playing temporarily. But he became greedy, he forget that luck won't come every time.  Grin

1666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you support bitcoin as Global reserve currency? on: June 03, 2023, 11:22:23 PM
I will support gold more than bitcoin to be honest. Bitcoin is a very new currency and it has not matured enough to become a global reserve currency. The network is simply not capable of handling such volume. Gold is a much better choice as a reserve currency and it had also earlier used for similar reason.
Why do you prefer to support Gold only? Don't you want to support Satoshi's goal to make BTC as global electric cash (digital currency)?
I think BTC deserves to be a global reserve currency, it is already widely spreading around the world. Most people are familiar enough with Bitcoin, it is no longer something new. We must know that Bitcoin is already more than 10 years exists. But it cannot be a single global currency, the world also needs physical currency which can be a second option when people have no ability to use digital currency. I think we can support both BTC and Gold to be global reserve currencies.

The current debt backed economy has started showing its weakness now. Gold is a much better option to replace the current debt backed economy. Not bitcoin.
Do you think BTC can't solve the debt issue? I think both Gold and BTC have the chance to solve it. BTC is volatile now, but the value may be more stable if it can be a global reserve currency.

1667  Other / Meta / Re: [Bitcointalk Party - Discord sv] Bitcoin Pizza bake-off contest! Enter by June 1 on: June 02, 2023, 11:51:52 PM
Don't worry about it, it's the effort that counts.
I don't know how it tasted, but the deal was to make a pizza and your product looks like a pizza. It cannot be mistaken for anything else meaning the goal was reached! Cool
Thanks for your appreciation, mate.  Smiley
The taste isn't too bad even though it's a little tough.
I think there is something lacking in the dough. Or it may be overcooked.
However, you are right that the shape is okay. It looks like a Pizza.  Cheesy

I haven't seen a lot of entries on the discord server till now. They might have thought that the contest if forum based, whereas it is not. Voting will happen on discord and if any participant does not upload the picture on discord then their efforts would get wasted.

Is their any possibility to give them some more time and if possible quote those username who have not uploaded here on this thread.
I think it is just about fun, don't take it too seriously. Even if we don't win the prize, we already celebrate the event together at least. I think it is the point of this event. For a person like me, the chance to win is impossible, so no problem at all if my Pizza doesn't count as the participants for the winning candidates.  Grin

To Be Honest, I don't have a Discord account. I may try to create it first if it is really needed.

1668  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2024 halving less than 1 year away on: June 02, 2023, 11:30:44 PM
My prediction is that when the halving has occurred, there will likely be an increase in the price of bitcoin because the reward from mining has decreased.
then over the next few months the price will fluctuate.
and in the following year there will be a new increase in ATH.
at least the cycle is always like that.
It is not your prediction but it is the fact that often happens related to Bitcoin halving.  Cheesy
In theory, the price increases because Bitcoin circulating supply will decrease during the halving process. So, we have a bigger demand, it exactly triggers the price to increase significantly. Well, it is a common theory that people often said: supply-demand on economic theory related to price movement. You must be familiar with that theory, right?

When a halving occurs usually a lot of people panic buy so before the halving the price has skyrocketed, I'm sure the halving that occurs in less than a year will create a significant price explosion so that the price can reach 3x, if at the end of 2023 it can reach at least $ 50k then the price when halvings can be as high as $150k.
People do panic buying because they don't want to miss the chance to earn profits. The hype of bullish season makes people optimistic to buy more after halving. Everyone understands that halving is a sign of the green market season.

Even if the price reaches $50k in Q4 of this year, it doesn't automatically achieve $150k in 2024 or 2025. We must be careful if there is bad news coming, it may ruin the bullish season. So, the price can't increase as expected.

1669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: June 02, 2023, 11:14:33 PM
Let's even assume this is possible, how often can the chaces come, for the fact that someone might be lucky to jam this kind of opportunity doesn't makes it applicable for everyone intending for it as welll, there are many ways we can earn through gambling and it's likely we earn upto that daily or not upto that, but the sacrifice needed could not be afforded by everyone, which means they may not be able to pay the price for such, I've seen people working upto three different jobs per day in gambling and earn a good income but they are very extremely busy and got all it takes to be employable.
It is gambling, there is no way to determine how often to get the chance for winning. Luck is one of the big factors in gambling besides the system has been set by the owners to make people hard to win. Because of this matter, we have no way to get the chance to earn money regularly. So, how can someone expect to earn $100 daily? Not sure how OP can assume about earning $100 daily, he may be a new gambler and not really understand how gambling works. If OP is an experienced gambler, he must know that earning daily is a bit impossible. Moreover, if he expects to get money of a certain amount every day.

1670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 01, 2023, 11:58:19 PM
Gambling places are not for steady income, if you want steady income with gambling, online or offline, you have to be a owner, build your own casino and watch yourself growing up into a filthy rich billionaire.
But not everyone can be the owner of a casino. Building a casino requires big money and not every casino can be successful. I assume people won't see this as an alternative, most people only want to earn money instantly. Building a casino will take time, hard effort, good management skills, and big money. Only a few people have the ability to build casinos, most of them never think to do this.  Grin

That's if you are not even addicted to gambling already, a addicted gambler always have one goal in mind, '( I have to make back all I have lost ), this is where the beginning of the end begins.
I guess most gamblers who try to catch a steady income in gambling will end up with addiction. The dream of a steady income will trigger them to gamble more and more. They think they will earn more if they do more attempts but it even leads to more losses. Finally, they will try to get back the losses by playing more often. They are not aware that they are already addicted to gambling.

1671  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your most effective crypto trading strategies? on: June 01, 2023, 11:48:44 PM
A trader that doesn't have control over their c shouldn't not be trading as that emotions will keep making him to lose in the market. A trader shoudn't be fearful of the market. We have many traders making profit from the market so why are you been scared of the market. If you're not only guessing and you're doing your analysis properly, you should defeat the market regularly.
Controlling emotion is a must, a trader has no ability to deal with the market situation if he can't control emotion. Crypto market is unpredictable, it can easily change in a short time. Not everyday crypto market is green, sometimes it turns into a red market. If someone trades with emotion, he probably easily sells for losses. When the market trends change, he will panic selling.

It is true that there are many successful traders but it doesn't automatically make us succeed as well. However, we can make it as our inspiration to do harder efforts. It also ideally triggers us to believe that there is a real chance for making profits through trading.

As a trader, you should be able to adjust to multiple trading strategy as they work in different times of the market. The strategy you're using when the market is bullish, you can't make use the same strategy when the market is in a bear season because the market isn't pumping.
Agree. We can't rely on 1 trading strategy only. 1 strategy may not be suitable for a different market condition. When the market is green, I prefer to use day trading. While the market is red, I prefer to use scalping trading. This is just 1 example of using a different strategy in a different market situation.  Smiley

1672  Economy / Economics / Re: Fake support? on: June 01, 2023, 11:16:56 PM
Now china is now taking the biggest approach to embracing web3 and support some crypto projects, since china has banned Bitcoin over 6 times in the past do you think this is another fake move?
Does China already change its regulation related to the ban on crypto? If they don't change it, it is clear that China only plays with us. It is difficult to trust China, they only take advantage of the situation. Not sure what they plan by trying to support some crypto projects, but it won't be a big step to beat the US in crypto field. If China is serious to support crypto again, they won't support some crypto projects only but they will revoke the ban status. Considering this matter, I also doubt if China really begins to support crypto. Although I guess there are many China people who are still involved in crypto, the government seems hard to change the ban. China is not a democratic country, the government doesn't easily accept people's proposals.

1675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Investing in memecoins profitability on: May 31, 2023, 11:59:20 PM
Buying memecoins always have high possibility to loss rather making profit. Cause memecoins created with no potentiality, they can only survive till end of short hype. Now After incredible successful of pepecoin, scammers start fraud with people by creating fake pepecoin. When the real Pepe coin already decreased badly and still struggling, then how can anyone expect this fake pepewx can be profitable?
You are right. Investing in meme coins is riskier, the chance for profits is too small. There are already many failed meme coins, they have no clear future and grow only with the hype. Although Dogecoin and Shiba Inu can be popular for a long time, they may disappear at any time if there is no hype for meme coins anymore. It is the same as pepecoin, it may be hype now but no one guarantees how long it will last in the future. Even worse the PEPEWX, it is just like another form of pepecoin. No reason for this coin to survive a long time, it won't ever be bigger than pepecoin.

Vlahovic will leave Juventus only for a big big, 80m+
It becomes interesting that there are 3 top clubs joining the race for Vlahovic. I think there will be more clubs to try negotiating with Juventus for Vlahovic as well. But if Bayern Munich offers a good price and they are serious to sign Vlahovic as their main striker, I'm sure Vlahovic probably chooses Bayern Munich. Every player wants to join a champion club as Bayern Munich, Vlahovic must dream of it also. Moreover, if Vlahovic can get a regular position as a striker there. He must be eager to move to Bayern Munich in the next transfer window. I doubt if Vlahovic wants to move to Chelsea, he seems to feel worried about winning any trophy there. While Man United may target more top strikers, Vlahovic may not be the main player there.

1677  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of bitcoin is not rising soon!. on: May 31, 2023, 11:46:13 PM
for to go New ATH this year Bitcoin in my opinion will not happen,
but going to a minimum of $ 50k can still happen, provided that the Bitcoin price is able to stay at this level or $ 25k,
according to price action, which was difficult a few years ago, it was the same as this,
so I can assume Bitcoin there is still hope in the next year, most importantly $ 50k for Bitcoin first.
Yep. ATH mostly reaches after BTC halving, ideally everyone must understand that it is unlikely to happen this year. But it is difficult to predict the maximum or minimum price to achieve this year, we don't know what to happen in the next few months. However, since there is still a lot of time before the end of the year, it is very possible that the price will rise above $50k. I only expect that the sideways won't last a very long time and there is no huge dump anymore. If there is more positive news in the next months, we may reach $50k sooner.  Smiley

1678  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What was your biggest fear with starting in crypto? on: May 31, 2023, 11:34:31 PM
The biggest fear when I started investing in crypto was losing money on the investment I made. I feel that the crypto investment that I did at first will not get any profit, because I only see short-term gains. When I made a long term Bitcoin crypto investment I felt that this profit was extraordinary. The fear that initially made me doubt, finally made me believe that crypto provides bigger profits. But the risks that will be experienced are also greater, so you have to be more vigilant with crypto investments.
Fear is normal, everyone must ever feel that feeling for the first time investing in crypto. I also feel it when I was a beginner, I ever feel that how if the crypto disappears after I spend money on some crypto coins. Moreover, I read some cases about many people getting losses with huge money at that time. But after a few years in crypto, I realize that it was just  FUDs. There are people who want we sell crypto with cheap prices, then they will take an advantage if crypto coins drop the prices drastically. You must understand that this way is used by whales to manipulate crypto market.

For Bitcoin, it is not really proper for a short-term investment, you need to hold for at least 4 years for bigger profits. Unless you have big capital, you can get enough profits by holding it for months. If it is for the short term, I prefer to choose altcoins. They have higher volatility, so we have the potential for bigger profits in a short time.

1679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any advice for invest my first 600$ in altcoins? on: May 30, 2023, 11:59:29 PM
Right now I'm holding BNB & ETH only as altcoins. Don't say buy BTC cuz already have nice amount since 2010.
Why don't you choose other top altcoins? You already have ETH and BNB, right? Aren't you interested in ADA, MATIC, SOL, DOT, and TRX? I think these altcoins are also potential altcoins and they look strong & safe enough because they have big market caps already. Instead of buying new altcoins, I think it is better to choose the top altcoins.

Is it good to invest in HOOk, SUI , ARB or ID altcoins? Since they are new just thought to give a try.
Among those altcoins, I only know ARB which has a good potential for the future. This project has a good product, they offer the same quality as Ethereum. We can speculate that this project can be the competitor of Ethereum and other top projects in the future. If we consider its price, it is also at a lower price now. After it reached its ATH on Mar 23, 2023 ($8,67), it drops to $1,22 now. It is a great opportunity to buy this coin at a lower price again. It probably skyrockets again in the next altcoins season. However, it is just my humble speculation, just ignore it if you don't agree with me.

1680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: May 30, 2023, 11:49:25 PM
Messi has more skills and his playing style are more helpful to expand his career longer than Ronaldo. However no people, no players can win against ageing forever. Especially in sports, football at highest levels. Federer, Nadal in tennis failed and Ronaldo failed too.

Messi is younger than Ronaldo and he is still hot with Saudi clubs which are very rich. They want to have Messi and can give him very good salary. It is not easy for any player to reject an offer that can help them receiving a few hundres of $ million. If you can earn such big money within 2 or 3 seasons, rejecting it is very hard decision.
More skills and playing style won't guarantee Messi to have a longer career than Ronaldo. What if he is getting often to be injured? In many cases, fitness makes a player retire sooner. If you compare Messi and Ronaldo, it is clear that Ronaldo has better fitness although he is older. Ronaldo seems to continue his career above 40 years old. While Messi, I'm not sure he can play more than 5 years from now.

Indeed. Some top clubs in Saudi are interested to sign Messi and they can make offers with huge money. However, we don't know whether it makes Messi interested or not. Not every player wants to play in Saudi Pro League and money isn't everything for a rich player like Messi. Messi has the option to move to another club in Europa or return to his country.
