701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is still the most popular? on: January 28, 2019, 07:13:29 PM
Exactly a year ago, where towards the end of 2017 the price of bitcoin reached $ 15k. Then at the beginning of 2018 the price began to decline to date to $ 3800. Whatever happens with the price of bitcoin, in fact bitcoin is still always the most popular and become the king of crypto. Do you agree?

I totally do agree with the fact that bitcoin remains the most popular cryptocurrency. Even with the low price of bitcoin  as compared to its price in the last quarter of the year 2017, it still remain the cryptocurrency with the highest price.
Considering the chart of cryptocurrencies, one will realize that Ethereum which is the second highest cryptocurrency is more than 20 times lower than bitcoin. This shows how strong and popular bitcoin is in the market.

708  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade? on: July 12, 2018, 09:55:40 PM
Day trade is good now, or is just when market is more unstable ?

Day trading is good not only now but at all times. Day trading is very simple but technical and requires lot of patience and skills. Day trading is simply taking advantage of the difference in the price of bitcoin within a very short period of time.
We do not know if the market will become unstable and so we cannot wait for that before we trade to earn money.
709  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning Crypto trading as a beginner on: July 12, 2018, 05:22:06 PM
So many persons learn Crypto trading through the hard way, with no guidance from any angle and I happen to be among these categories of persons... And one thing I understand is that, those that learn through hard ways always do best!

So many persons sees trading as one big thing that requires a lot of time to learn, the fact is that anything that involves money requires an attention and sometimes we often get scared of losing our money.
But the truth is that Crypto trading is very easy compared to forex/stock-market.

You can learn Crypto trading on your own without any help from anyone, but you can't do this with forex/stock-market.

The best way to learn about Crypto trading is to play around with the market with a small amount of money.

Or if you have any altcoin, you can spare some unit, take it to the market, do some buying and  selling, do it over and over again, it doesn't necessarily mean you must buy the same altcoin. Buy other altcoins.
If  you can keep up with this within a 2weeks, You will see results.

Contributions from other Crypto Trader is higher welcome but please avoid spamming.

710  Economy / Economics / Re: Mistakes That Make You Poor Poor In Cryptocurrency on: July 12, 2018, 12:10:07 PM
With cryptocurrency, you have to be careful with any fraud and theft. and usually many people who are caught in the losses in the world of crypto is:
1. Not Backup Key
2. Electricity Billing Mining More
3. Lunes In Phishing Sites
4. Buy Coin With Rumors
5. Create a weak password
6. Steal With Stealth ICO

With cryptocurrency, no bank or other institution or regulation will protect you in the event of a loss.

Thanks for this information. They are really the leading causes of losses of bitcoins. However, in addition to these causes,  one of the most painful ways of losing your bitcoins is to participate in a bounty campaigns and get paid in insignificant coins that you end up unable to sell in the market. You end seeing the values of your coins in dollars without being able to convert them to bitcoins or fiat. This is why it is very necessary to be careful when participating ij bounty campaigns.
711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many merchants have you convinced to accept Bitcoin? on: July 12, 2018, 11:01:51 AM
I have never has the opportunity of having yo convinced a merchant of accepting bitcoin. Most people in my locality only accept fiat currency. All I have to do is to convert my bitcoins into fiat using an exchange and then use it for whatever purpose it is intended for.
I have however convinced some few friends to accept bitcoin and invest in it to earn money.
712  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: buy some, sell some, and hold some on: July 12, 2018, 05:17:55 AM
when you do trading, do you always think about this, "buy some, sell some, hold some."

I believe this is the smartest strategy one can always come up with to make money with bitcoins. When I buy bitcoins,  I trade with about 60%, particularly day trading.  Day trading is quite risky and so I do not make gains at all times but overall,  I make profits.
The remaining 40% is to be left in the wallet for the price of bitcoin to grow into an amount that would give me a significant amount of bitcoins. And it also serves as a reserve incase of any slight change in plan.
713  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Right time to buy a lot of bitcoin. on: July 11, 2018, 05:12:39 PM
I think now is the right time to buy more bitcoin because the price is very low,  but I think after a while bitcoin price will rise again and if we buy  more now we cant make more money in the near future. What do yo think?

You have simply given us the basis of all forms of trading. Trading is simply buying when the prices are low and selling when the prices are high enough to give profits.
Although, it is advisable to buy bitcoins when the price is really low like this, there is still no particular right time to buy bitcoins. Bitcoin can be bought at any time at any price. The only thing to do after buying is simply hold in your wallet until the price is above cost price and you can then sell to make profits.
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is bounty programs to the overall success of icos? on: July 11, 2018, 03:54:53 PM
Is bounty programs impacting negatively or positively to the success of icos?

Personally,  I think bounty programs or campaigns help contribute to the success of ICOs. Bounty campaigns is simply advertising a coin,  especially a newly launched coin,  through the help of bounty hunters  on twitter, facebook,  telegram and here on bitcointalk.
Although,  there are so many bounty campaigns that aim at spamming, I still hold the believe that bounty programs were created for the success of ICOs.

This is a very great news to the bitcoin community. There are a lot of people who only earn bitcoins to convert them to fiat currencies of their individual countries just because they are not aware of onlines stores that accept bitcoins as a means if payment for goods and services.
However, with this list of stores,  it is a win-win situation for both the companies and bitcoiners. People just have to order online using bitcoins.
716  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DO YOU BUY WHEN THE PRICE DROPS SHARPLY ? on: July 10, 2018, 06:36:22 PM
Good day, mates.

My strategy is to buy coins when the price drops sharply.

Sometimes I fail, because the price drops more than I expected.

But, to prevent this worse situation, I put 30% of my budget at the time of initial investment.
If the price getting down again, I put 30% more.

With this strategy, I am getting some money so far.

In conclusion, I recommend you guys to buy coins when they drops rapidly.
After sharp drop, there should be sharp rising.  Cool

I think this strategy may work with other coins but not with bitcoin or other stronger coins.
You will notice that the price if bitcoin dropped sharply from about $19000 to $15000 within the space of one week last December. Everybody had thought there would be a quick pump in the price simply because there was a rapid dump but everyone was disappointed when the price of bitcoin continued to drop even dropping to about $5000 before steadily growing back.
It is advisable to wait for a while after a dump to know if it's just a slight decrease in the price and will soon return to normalcy.
717  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook now joining btc? on: July 10, 2018, 05:35:21 PM
Facebook has about 2.18 billion active users as at the first quarter of the year. The whole of bitcoin community understands the importance of this figure if Facebook should make bitcoin a means of payment on its platform. This means a large percentage of these people will have no choice but to embrace the blockchain technology and accept bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.  This eventually will increase the price of bitcoin to a very high price.
718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big news for bitcoin and crypto currency on: July 09, 2018, 08:13:25 PM
This is a very great news to the bitcoin community as this  will help bring more investors and traders to the bitcoin community and this will increase the marketcap of bitcoin which will ultimately increase the price of  bitcoin. I think it is this news that caused the increase in the price of bitcoin today.
I believe if news like this continue to happen, the price of bitcoin will surpass $15000 before the end of the year.
719  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin wallet on: July 09, 2018, 03:58:31 PM
Do you think Coinbase is the best wallet yet ? Any other that could top coinbase?

I do not use coinbase so there is no way I can say  if it is the best wallet there is. I use blockchain wallet and I think it is the best wallet there is. The interface of the blockchain wallet is user friendly and it is very secure. Its mobile wallet is simply the best as you can send and receive bitcoins on the go.
720  Economy / Economics / Re: "10 Common Mistakes We make with MONEY" on: July 09, 2018, 02:30:03 PM
Mistake 1: Never lend someone money you are not willing to loose. When you lend someone money, always assume you may never get it back. If you feel that after lending the money out you may not be able to survive with what is left with you, then simply don’t lend the person.

Mistake 2: Whenever you have the opportunity to meet a wealthy or an influential person, never you ask for money, but rather ask for ideas or ways which you can grow your own business. That will make you a more purposeful person.

Mistake 3: Never you spend money you haven’t received or expecting. In other words, do not buy anything on credit because Mr. A has promised you certain money, or that Mr. B will pay you the debt he owes you. It might make you to run into debts should the source fails to pay. I hope you understand this point.

Mistake 4: For proper saving, do not attempt to save what is left after spending, but rather spend what is left after saving. Like you already know, human wants are insatiable, as long as you have the money, you will always have something to buy. Also, never you keep any money you are not going to spend on short term handy or within easy reach. It is best to keep it safe away.

Mistake 5: Do not sign as a guarantor to anyone on financial matters unless you have enough or are willing to pay any misappropriation or money that may arise from the person’s misdeed. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. It can cause you problems.

Mistake 6: Do not consistently spend more than you earn or spend all that you earn. You may not have anything for the rainy days or at retirement.

Mistake 7: Do not spend more money on an item you can purchase same for less within the same neighborhood. It is not a wise spending.

Mistake 8: Never you borrow money that accrues interest to start a business. That will put you undue pressure as you will be working to service the debt and the accrued interest for a long period of time. It could be frustrating especially if things are not as perfect as you would have predicted.

Mistake 9: Do not starve your family or fail to take your child to the hospital SIMPLY because you want to save the money you have for the future. It might leave you in regrets.

Mistake 10: While it is good to save, it does not necessarily means you should save all the money you have. Learn to reinvest some so that it will yield more. It is like planting a seed or grain, nurturing and watering it to yield more fruits. This should be self-explanatory I think.

Which of these mistakes do you think people are guiltier of? Do you think there are other mistakes not included here? Please share your thoughts.

You have highlighted most of the mistakes people make concerning money spending. I am personally guilty of about three to four of those mistakes and I especially thank you for this beautiful piece.
I have, in time last,  borrowed people money with the hope of getting it back but I have always regretted it and funny enough, this happened for a number of times. I however learnt mistakes through this piece and such won't ever repeat itself.
