1541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Neither Good or Bad on: March 01, 2023, 02:24:28 PM
I am quite sure and aware that 90% of the people here who are involved in gambling, consciously know the bad things about gambling, the risks and benefits that occur in gambling, however.
Questions arise:
If so why do they already know gambling can be bad things to lose, but still want to bet.....!

Well, that's selfish humans, lust, all of us want to find shortcuts to get rich quick, even though they know the risk of losing, I judge if that person can control gambling, no, on the contrary it is gambling that controls the person, that is the real person who wins in gambling.
Losing in gambling is a consequence that has been agreed upon by gamblers, as well as winning.
The risk is to lose money, but the impact tends to be worse when the gambler is no longer able to control himself and his finances in gambling.

Perhaps the effects of gambling have been discussed many times before and gamblers are basically aware of it, so why do they continue to gamble? Some of the other reasons I can think of are not all gamblers expect to big win, while they also expect fun and entertainment and spend little free time even though they lose so much money.

As expected, today I reached 12,000 merits.
Thank you all, each of you, for what you have done for me, and believe me when I say I have no intention to stop here!
Has someone congratulated you on your amazing achievement?
If it's here or elsewhere, it's always great when contributors like you reach new milestones. Congratulations fillippone, I'm just a little late, maybe.
The sarcasm is great on this reply, and I appreciate the humor.
Thank you, you made me giggle.
Lol, I didn't mean that, and I'm sure you know that.
But pay attention after that, some members also really want to congratulate you on your achievement and of course that's a matter of pride, right?
But yeah, it's about a bit of humor.  Grin

Once again, congratulations. 12,000 merit, meaning you are the third most merit & most earn merit user and more most other.

So let's see who actually gets the hint from this thread.

It looks like there is not much time left for seeing Gabriel Jesus in the lineup again. Because his condition for the match against Everton looks like questionable now. Maybe we wouldn't see him in the starting eleven but he might enter in the second half. I assume Arteta would start with Nketiah in his place again. Depending on his performance Jesus' time to enter would be determined. I will be expecting a very effective attacking effort from Arsenal in this match.

I know how they lost to Everton in their previous head-to-head. It was due to Arsenal's defensive mistakes and being incapable of finishing. I will be much bigger effort this time as they must have learned their lesson.
The match against Everton this time was not as tough as before, so Arsenal fans shouldn't have to worry that much.

The match at Everton for Everton wins, and vice versa it is expected that Arsenal win the match at home this time. I have no hesitation in saying it because Arsenal will not make the same mistake and allow Manchester City to have a second chance to lead the table. But of course it's good if Arsenal lose, right?
1545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 27, 2023, 03:14:16 PM
Marseille surprised us all. Paris SG was the better team throughout the match. Marseille fell apart and lost 3-0.  The harmony between Mbappe and Messi is very, very important. Messi is a great player, so is Mbappe, and it would only hurt Paris if they didn't get along. Paris SG can reach a high level of attack power with their harmony
I didn't watch the match last night, but it looks like PSG are really getting a good performance from their two superstars.
Messi contributed two assists to Mbappe's two goals, while Messi got one goal from Mbappe's assist. Both have played well and have benefited PSG, and these are the things that PSG supporters have been waiting for the most from their mega stars.

Even without Neymar PSG really played well, but Marseille also came close to scoring from several of their chances. The performance of the defenders is also good and they have done their best to keep their team winning, that is the form of strength expected from PSG.

Chelsea continue to drop points. Yesterday they lost 2-0 to Tottenham. This loss is not good for them. Graham Potter and his team can't get it together. It's not good for them. They need to recover as soon as possible. There's nothing like the Chelsea of yesteryear. This team won the Champions League a couple of years ago. Now they're almost relegated from the league. They need to solve this with either a change of manager or a few transfers as soon as possible.
I think a change of manager is the best option right now for Chelsea to get back to its best.
Chelsea don't need to get new players because I think the players they have now are very good to compete with any team.
I know every player has worked optimally to win matches, but it feels like luck was not on Graham Potter's side so it was difficult for him to lead the team to win many matches.

If Potter doesn't step down from his current position then I think Chelsea will just need a lot of time to get to his best. They may have to be patient enough, but they are only doing themselves a disservice by not winning anything this season.

Really, this is very sad news to hear but someone will die when the time comes.
OP I hope you don't have to regret your father's death and you just have to let him go forever because it's a fate that no one can avoid. You just have to thank your father and wish him all the best for raising you and introducing you to bitcoin before his death, and it is an honor you have when you want to remember him.

My condolences on the death of your father, he was important to you and he contributed lot in your life. Stay strong and keep moving, you can.

Cypto is new type of currency which in its journey has been adopted as legal tender in several countries.
After all, not all crypto are adopted as means of payment because most of their types have no real use cases. Of course, in this case bitcoin is a type of currency that is being discussed and adopted as means of payment, but in many cases this adoption is still contrary to regulations from jurisdictions between one country and another.

Fiat has been around longer than crypto, there's no denying that it has more use cases although some things are no better than bitcoin. Fiat is a centralized currency system, whereas bitcoin is a decentralized currency but both have real use cases. While I still need fiat to buy bitcoin or crypto, and I also sell bitcoin or other crypto to fiat and use fiat for everyday financial transactions.
1549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 26, 2023, 08:43:42 AM
Losing 2 points is a big loss for Real Madrid who is trying to pursue Barcelona at the top of the standings. Real Madrid have tried to give the best performance to get three points in front of his supporters, Atletico strong defense is an obstacle for Real Madrid players to break the deadlock. Atletico who played with 10 players since the 64th minute won first through Jose Maria Gimenez goal, Real Madrid face was saved after Alvaro Rodriguez made the score 1-1.

Real Madrid is increasingly lagging and it will be difficult to pursue Barcelona if Xavi team managed to win over Almeria. The position of Almeria who is ranked 19 will be a soft meal for Barcelona to vent the disappointment after falling from the Europa League.
Real Madrid's winning scenario was created after one of the Atletico Madrid players was given a red card. But in fact Atletico Madrid actually excels even though only playing with 10 players.

It was unexpected because usually when Atletico Madrid play with 10 players, it means they will only lose to their rivals. This draw will actually benefit Barcelona greatly if the Catalan team manages to win today's match against Almeria. If Barcelona wins, it means the difference in points between Real Madrid will be 10 points.
1550  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have a true discussion without the sig tail wailing? on: February 25, 2023, 06:08:17 PM
While signatures can be a helpful way to promote projects or services, they can also be seen as spam if they are not relevant to the discussion at hand. Some users choose to disable signatures or post in forums where signatures are not displayed to avoid being bombarded with irrelevant advertising.

However, it is important to note that signature campaigns are a legitimate way for some individuals to earn cryptocurrency, and enforcing a blanket rule against them may not be fair to those participants. Instead, local rules could be put in place to prevent users with advertising signatures from posting on certain topics, and they could be reported if they violate those rules.

Ultimately, it is up to forum moderators to strike a balance between allowing signature campaigns while also preventing spam and ensuring that discussions remain relevant and productive. Users can also do their part by being mindful of their signature content and only posting it in appropriate contexts.
Without signature campaign, I think this forum will actually shrink the number of active users.
If signature campaigns are disabled or banned, I really don't know how contributors will benefit from their contributions.

I know they don't expect to be paid for their contribution, but signature campaign hopefully keep them motivated in the forum. So the signature campaign has something quite positive for both the forum and the users, and the spam issue just needs to be reported and handled.

Does anyone expect Real Madrid to lose this derby match apart from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid fans?  Grin
It might not be unreasonable to expect Real Madrid to lose at home, but that's just one of the things that can happen in this hot match. Even though Real Madrid won the match, Barcelona also remained safely at the top of the standings.

The match went pretty well with a few chances created by Real Madrid so far, but they haven't got a goal. I think Real Madrid will win this match as most people predict, but nevertheless Atletico Madrid has a chance to avenge their Copa Del Rey defeat and their home game in the previous meeting.
1552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 25, 2023, 05:39:48 PM
When it comes to Arsenal, I'm always confident in their ability to triumph, especially against a team like Leicester City, which hasn't played well this year and arsenal still has one goal from G. Martinelli. You can tell that Leicester City can't defeat Arsenal based on the stats that show that Leicester city has zero shots on target and arsenal has more than half of the ball possession.
Arsenal always have the better chance of winning, but they won't win all their match 100% for the rest of the season.
Of course, this assumption must be very appropriate because competition between Premier League teams can never be fully predicted, like when Arsenal were beaten by Everton and held to a draw by several other teams some time ago. But I'm not denying, Arsenal have been better this season.

Now Bournemouth vs Manchester City. I am for the away team because I believe Manchester City can beat Bournemouth and win the match. I also want to see Haaland score again after a few match without goal, and he has to do it this match.

1553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to accept crypto as a payment? on: February 24, 2023, 07:50:57 PM
Since I've known bitcoin, I think that's how long I've considered it good for adopted means of payment.
Maybe the problem is the regulations differ from country to country. I can't expect many shops or shopping centers in my country to adopt bitcoin as a means of payment, bitcoin is illegal as a legal currency here.

So in the end I can draw the conclusion that whether or not bitcoin is adopted as a means of payment depends only on how the government regulates it. If it is legal, then you can expect to benefit from adoption and increased demand at your services.
1554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 24, 2023, 07:40:14 PM
this season barcelona is not too strong to be able to compete with other teams competing in the champions league or Europa League, defeats to Bayern Munich and Inter Milan in the ucl and in the Europa league by Manchester United. It's too hard for Xavi when several important players are absent in a match that determines their fate, like yesterday's match against Manchester United where Pedri and Gavi had to be absent.

one of the only remaining hopes is in laliga to be able to become a champion which must be fought as best as possible by barcelona players. apart from that there is one more opportunity, namely in the copa del rey that they can fight for.
When Barcelona are drawn to meet big teams in two different competitions at the European level, I think this is a tough season for them to go through.
Of course this assumption is correct because Barcelona has not been completely stable, especially regarding their squad this season. They had a lot of financial problems, while previously they had to struggle with a storm of injuries, but Xavi can make the difference even though they also failed in the end.

I'm not happy about Barcelona's defeat, but I think they did their best to close whatever gaps they lacked in that match. Manchester United are much better prepared at home than Barcelona even though Barcelona came with good optimism and confidence. But you also can't forget that the Copa Del Rey is another domestic competition that Barcelona can also compete for besides La Liga.

Unfortunately bad luck happens, if it were to happen unfortunately it cannot be predicted
I hope for Barcelona, for their fans and for Xavi that it doesn't happen, but unfortunately football is unpredictable
it's like poker, you can have all the strategy in the world, if the cards don't come they don't come
You're right, I noticed that too. Winning a game against a team like Manchester United is not as easy as moving eggs from the basket.
1555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 24, 2023, 07:17:31 PM
We have to admit that Ten Hague outplayed Xavi almost completely. Manchester was collected, motivated, played to the best of their abilities, which cannot be said about Barça. Barcelona players were as if "jammed" inside, they made mistakes in their passes, which was not noticed before, they made unaccustomed number of mistakes. In general, we can say the coaching victory of Ten Hag, who was able to form a working team of star players, where everyone plays the way he is required to, without tantrums and whimsy.
Xavi was not lucky with the composition, because the game was not the optimal squad, but chances to win anyway, even after the return goal Manchester, but unfortunately Xavi was unable to strengthen the team game substitutes and as a result, a logical defeat.
Barcelona clearly had problems with squad depth against Manchester United, and looked very different compared to the first leg.
The defeat was logical because Barcelona lacked the players who should have been on the pitch due to injury or suspension, and it meant Barcelona had to return to the same fate as last season in the Europa League.

It doesn't matter, but disappointment is always there among the fans, but Barcelona have ensured that it was a tough win for Manchester United. Maybe it would have been terrible if Manchester United lost, but they won that match at home, fortunately.
1556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 24, 2023, 07:10:22 PM
Xavi's future at Barcelona would be at risk if they fail in winning the La Liga title from now on indeed. I thought that the Europa League was also very important for them. In the end it was another monetary resource for them to make the financial status stronger. Of course they were prioritizing the La Liga title but still they could have done better than this there. At least they didn't get any embarrassing score by playing too badly. By the way Lewandowski was nearly missing the penalty as De Gea was so close to saving it.

It is like a curse for him against big teams this season.  Grin  But I hope he will be more productive in the Champions League in such matches next season.
Barcelona have tried their best in the Champions League and Europa League, but again they had to lose an important player when they expected to win a match. In the Champions League they had problems in defense due to player injuries so it was always difficult to defend their net without conceding a goal, while in the Europa League they also had to lose 3 important players which also affected their strength on the field. It's true that the conditions weren't as fortunate as one could hope for, but I think they deserve credit.

Now they can focus on La Liga and the Copa Del Rey, and they are still likely to secure both titles this season. Well, it all depends on them in maintaining their advantage, but based on the odds, they still have a very high chance of winning it.
1557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 24, 2023, 06:31:51 PM
This season in the Premier League we have often seen that having the best team in theory doesn't secure the win in practice. Manchester City has not won 8 games out of 24 games. That is quite interesting. Liverpool has NOT won 12 games out of 22. So saying that you are very optimistic about Liverpool winning is quite optimistic! Tongue

Anyway, it is still the case that Liverpool is the favorite in a game, yes. But this season it is well worth a bet on their opponents. Or at least a win or draw bet.
That's the Premier League, and that's why the Premier League is said to be one of the best at the moment.
Favorites won't be completely risk free in every match they play, that's because they can't underestimate every opponent. The favorite team can even drop points just like that by a relegation zone team when they are very focused on defense and usually it will end in draw or won by the non-favorite team.

Even Arsenal, which is really good this season, also lost points in 6 of their 23 matches, the same thing happened to Manchester City and all the other top teams. Liverpool and Chelsea are worse, but it's true that they are always the favorites in many match even if their performance is bad.
1558  Local / Trading dan Spekulasi / Re: [DISKUSI] Harga Bitcoin on: February 23, 2023, 10:41:43 AM

After a long time of inactivity on this thread, and today I'm back to save one new milestone regarding integers and it's 1800 merit.
200 merit from now would get me into the 2K merit group, but it's getting harder and harder to achieve that any time soon. But that's okay, it's just dynamics.

Is it possible to get 1 merit/ day - I will probably reach 2000 in the next 200 days. Lol

1560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 23, 2023, 10:02:16 AM
Understandably everyone is so impressed by Napoli's performance that hardly anyone is talking about the other clubs anymore. Wink

Since Napoli won't give it away from here, I think the rankings behind them are worth paying closer attention to. Mourinho is fully focussed on making it to the Champions League I guess. He won it with Porto and with Inter, now participating one more time with Roma would certainly be something he likes. But what if other clubs have a free position and reach out to him next season? Anyone thinks he would leave Roma for a bigger club when Roma qualifies for the CL?
Mourinho had a great season at Roma, so it's only natural that he will try his best to prioritize the team's achievements.
Qualifying for the Champions League next season is the greatest achievement for Roma, and I think they have chance for that this season. Mourinho needs to maintain the mentality of his squad to continue to work optimally for the rest of the season and avoid dropping lot of points.

Apart from Roma, I think Atalanta, Lazio and Milan are very likely to fight for tickets to the Champions League next season and so far their points are not too different. Each must maintain consistency because few mistakes will only reduce the chances of being safe in the top 4 positions. Meanwhile, I don't think Mourinho will leave should Roma fail to qualify for the Champions League next season, I think he is happy at Roma.
