182  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: O bitcoin ou A bitcoin? on: November 06, 2013, 04:08:20 PM
Mas aí não vais dar dois "protocolos" a ninguém, seriam duas "moedas" bitcoin.

Tal como seriam duas escudos por ser em moedas? Roll Eyes

"RIAA executive vice president Neil Turkewitz released a statement last week detailing web businesses that are either directly infringing copyright or "profit from facilitating such theft." Bitcoin, the trade group contends, falls into the latter category".

Well then if bitcoin is a "web business" profiting from copyright infringement, why don't they go and sue bitcoin?

They might... they might... Roll Eyes

How long does six confirmations usually take? *noobstyling*

You tell me. You're the miner here, not me.

No, it means the transaction that paid you those coins isn't verified by the network.

I probably shouldn't be quoting the Staff forum, but in this case I see no harm.

How much does it cost cash in mail to Portugal?

I don't know.  I've never shipped internationally.  What are the Customs requirements for shipping U.S. currency into Portugal?  Also note, that I won't be responsible for cash stolen from the shipment.

No idea about requirements. Searched the customs site but found nothing. Better forget about it Tongue

Looks like they don't care Sad

The damn thing is already public and all there is here is a link to pastebin.
As far as I'm concerned it's better to just leave it so everybody knows about it. The harm is already done, hiding it would be the worst decision ever.
Maybe the concerned parties should contact pastebin and ask them to take the page down, no? http://pastebin.com/faq#8

EDIT: By concerned parties I mean: anyone with their email/info on that list.

I would be happy to prove, but nobody answered my PM...

Send it again, maybe? It's very easy to forget a PM which was left to answer later, with the quantity of PM's the staff receives.

Thank you for your order!  I'll make sure it gets processed ASAP!!

Would you rather have a cert that may or may not be signed somewhere along the chain by someone you don't trust?
I choose self signed certs for your protection Smiley
But if you think customers would prefer a verisign signed cert, I'd be more than willing to make sure it happens.

If you get the certificate signed using a CSR you don't need to share your private key.
I'm good with it, but most users won't even know how to bypass the warning when they click the checkout button and get the SSL warning.
Myself, I use StartSSL, which is free. I only give them the CSR to sign, not the private keys, which are created safely on my own computer.
196  Other / Meta / Re: Am i banned or not? Forum problem on: November 01, 2013, 12:50:43 PM
are you using TOR / VPN / Proxy?

Some TOR nodes are banned, so just change the server
nope. I use an old java phone at work and a normal pc at home. As a matter of fact i got this message only when i used my phone. And if i close the browser(opera mini) then reopen it i can post and send pm's.

You ARE using a proxy on your phone. Opera mini routes all traffic trough Opera's servers.

Going to order now. Thanks for updating the shipping costs.
BTW, your self-signed SSL certificate is kind of scary. I can live with it but, ya know...
