UpdateIt's been a long time since we posted here, and someone recently suggested an update was needed.
Since launch it's definitely been a journey, we've come leaps and bounds and made some revolutionary developments. Pushing the envelope of what's possible.
This is a lengthy coverage of all the various developments and progress of everything that's happened in OctaSpace.
As many of you know OctaSpace launched as PoW and completely fair launched (no-pre mine, pre-allocation etc) something that nowadays is very rare. The aims of the project were to build a distributed computing service backed by the native blockchain. But we delivered so much more than anyone could have imagined.
On initial launch our original product was a marketplace in the form of the Cube which enabled users to provide nodes for machine rental for various compute services and VPN via configuration of different protocols which could run off those nodes. However, this was just a starting point. Ultimately we were product driven and the main ethos was always about making computing services diverse and easy to use. The cube was just the foundation to build on.
In the space of 2 years we have delivered some of the best technology available in the market.
We focused on diversification of our product range:
OctaRenderWe built our own Rendering Platform (Only the second ever project to do so in crypto) a truly unique and one-of-a-kind, fully decentralized, scalable rendering platform.
While the platform was in development, we had a beta program in which many artists from across the globe participated, eventually the final version having been released on the 28th October 2024 which we revealed at (Blender Conference) BCON24 in Amsterdam.

Today OctaRender is quickly gaining traction across the VFX and artist industry as the go-to rendering solution. Since launch over
1,7 million frames have already been rendered on OctaRender which equates to (
21.74 months of rendering time) with new users singing up daily. Our growth in the amount of renders has been nothing short of astonishing.
We've served clients from various small to prestigious large scale studios. Even the likes of studios One Pixel Brush and Shaddy Safadi who is well known for his work on "The Last of Us". Or work for Godzilla which was done in collaboration with Takashi Yamazaki who has worked on multiple blockbuster productions including Godzilla Minus One. 4 out the TOP 11 creators of digital documentaries on YouTube use OctaRender for producing their content who have a combined audience of 6.16 Million subscribers!
In fact OctaRender isn't just the most powerful rendering platform available, but it's also the fastest offering unparalleled performance. We benchmarked OctaRender against the only other competing render platform in Crypto (Render Network) and the results were clear, OctaRender came on top in every aspect of the render pipeline.

You can access OctaRender on the dedicated website
https://render.octa.space/
We've also written a great blog post which goes much deeper into the full technical aspects of the platform:
https://blog.octa.space/octarender-pushing-the-boundaries-of-rendering-capabilities-66700572fc9fComputing MarketplaceWe've recently released a complete revamped decentralized marketplace which is head and shoulders above any other solution currently available in both mainstream or crypto. While we won't go into extensive detail about every single platform, the main aspects which it offers includes:
- AI applications; AI video generation, image generation, AI agents, LLM's etc.
- Desktop Gaming - Low latency gaming with capacity to launch AAA titles remotely
- Machine Learning
- Ability to launch custom docker containers
Since the launch of our new marketplace we have had (at the time of posting)
1,656 accounts registered on new the platform, and we continue to see a surge in registrations daily. With demand for compute power being driven with the rise of AI.
You can access the marketplace on
https://marketplace.octa.space/ or read more about the marketplace on our main website

The hardware is provided by users from across the globe in the form of nodes and anyone can participate and provide their own hardware in the marketplace for use for any compute service, rendering or VPN and we support both Nvidia and AMD GPU's
Below is a snapshot of some nodes in our marketplace.
VPNThe VPN has evolved in many ways, we've made it more accessible via initially a mobile app (Android) which can be found on the Play Store
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.octaspace.octavpnBut also via desktop app and even browser extensions

or directly via the marketplace:
New CubeThis is a technological marvel in itself. As one node provider stated ". The effort and attention to detail in this platform are incredible"

Our platform is the only one that supports not just Nvidia, but AMD and even Rasberry Pi's. We're also testing capabilities of Mac and Intel Arc GPU's.
This isn't just a cube, it's an entire ecosystem and unparalleled control.
So where does that leave OCTA? - This year is focused on growth growth growth. This means both Crypto and Userbase.
There are many projects which have an element of a solution; RENDER - Rendering, Akash - Marketplace.
But ONLY OCTA has Rendering + Marketplace + Remote Gaming + VPN + All the AI tools in one place.
But what about contributing to OctaSpace?OctaSpace still remains PoW, so miners can still support the network by mining and earning $OCTA.
But there are other ways to earn, by providing your computing power in our marketplace as a node.
