You can still sync without the snapshot, but if you have old coins, you won't see the full transaction data this way.

It should be pretty fast, because the mini-blockchain scheme allows you to download the last 2 weeks of full blocks only.
You will need all the headers for the proof chain, though.
Depending on machine power and bandwidth, it may take form 1/2 to a couple hours.

I could not use snapshot, an error occurred, after which the wallet suggested synchronization: the old blockchain was deleted and then the actual one was downloaded, downloaded quite quickly - in 2 hours, then everything worked successfully.

And it seems that the voting on AACOIN is almost complete? XCN has more than 100 votes

Should be like 15 min if it was pruned chain.
