I think we can all agree that seeing the price drop to $100 levels is not a part of the story anymore. It's history. That however doesn't mean we won't see the price drop significantly below the current levels in the coming year(s). Bitcoin has surprised us many times already, and it will surely keep doing so in the future. In order to benefit from the price going down a lot, you should make sure you always have some fiat left to buy some coins with.

Honestly, no, I don't want the price to tank to $100 to be able to buy Bitcoins, infact I wouldn't even want it to tank. People can always buy smaller amounts of bitcoins even if the price went up. No one would want their hard earned money to fall in value, that would be very wrong. It's better that Bitcoin remains stable and does not tank below its monthly average.

And if the price goes to $100, the least efficient miners will be forced out of the market, and the network will reach a new equilibrium. Due to the amount of miners who leave, the difficulty will drop and everything will reach equilibrium once again.

The price of an asset comes down only if a strategy occurs to it and after that people try to run away from it so I think people will not buy at that time but will try to sell so that to recover their money back. Maybe some traders will not sell but will buy and collect for future and good time.

It is not guaranteed that the price will double with every halving. The price is determined by the free market at the equilibrium point of buying and selling, it is not pegged to the number of coins in existence.
