People should read the OP instead of only the title. At the time this thread was created, the price was around $250-$260 which made it a fair assumption from OP. Right now it doesn't really make sense anymore. The thread title should be upgraded from $100 to $300 these days.

That's true its an old thread and his question at that time can be considered as a valid, but as of now if we look at the current price then there is no scope of bitcoin falling back to $100.

Even if price crashes in coming time then also I don't think that bitcoin will fall that low price of $250 in future, for me that price is history and we won't see price below $500 in future.

That's true, but very unlikely. What's far more likely to happen if a crash starts I people buy out Bitcoins when it's down to $400, $350 or $300 even. There would have to be blockchain crippling news for a huge crash like that though. Even a huge hack only dropped the price by what, $150 or less? Not even bad. When mt. Gox closed it was pandemonium!!

Frankly speaking, I am not waiting for the bitcoin to become 100 dollar value. I want it to reach new heights every single day. If it goes down to 100 dollar level, I will in huge loss and I don't want that to happen.

Also if the price goes down to 100 level, a panic selling will trigger which will further bring down the price, so it is not good for the bitcoin community. The main factor behind my dedication towards bitcoin is the price and nothing else.

The bitcoin price will not go to $100. If it does, most of the miners will not be profitable and the network will be attacked.

That is right the miners are already receiving lesser amount because of halving the price after every four years but they are happy with high price of bitcoin but if the price decreased then they will not be able to get much profit and will try to search other ways of earning.

with each four years when a halving will occur in the reward of miners a double up of bitcoin price will also occur. In this condition we cannot say that the miners will leave to mine bitcoins and when the concept of bitcoin increase more higher the price will also increase more with that. so now we cannot think that the price will come to $100

But it is also not wrong in the current trend. Even in the current time people often think that how much can bitcoin drop if it started to drop and they thing that is it possible that bitcoin will fall. and even in this time a lot of people have provided some proofs to show that bitcoin is a strong currency and will increase more in price.

The system of bitcoin were made to make it get those new value, being always twice from the last halving value, but no one can say if something might be found into bitcoin that may kill it making the halving being or make any effect into a project with problem inside, something we dont expect to happen never.

i am always a person that is doing research before jumping into the market at a certain price. but if it ever happens to go down to such levels, then i will not waste a single second with doing research. i will instantly buy myself a good number of coins. of course not will all the money i have for trading purposes. i always have enough money in the pocket to buy even more when the price goes lower. it might be a one time opportunity. i am not going to waste such a chance.

Seeing the current rate of bitcoin it would really be a foolish decision to put a bid of $100 for buying because that point does not seem to be coming back, now we are moving up so we cannot expect a drastic drop like that.

I know that something like this is not going to happen again because $100 is way to low at the moment and it would be weird to.
The value at the moment is around $600 so for it to drop to $100 would be unlikely.

If everyone is waiting for $100/BTC to buy, some of us will front-run the crash and hence BTC will only touch $125 at best.

On the other hand, I'd be more than happy to be wrong about this, because I'm waiting for $100/BTC too  

When the price comes to $100/BTC, I think some ppl are panic and will be afraid the price will go down further. They will say they are waiting for $50/BTC.

Those people are going to be waiting forever, because approaching $100/BTC, there will simply be not enough liquid coins in the market to match the demand of buyers at that rate.

Barring apocalyptic events like Satoshi dumping his coins, or BitFinex going under, or fundamentals like SHA2 broken, my prediction is that $100/BTC will only be touched for a few seconds during a flash crash in the absence of truly horrendous news.

This is a really dangerous time to speculate, as the market is putting to the question the long margins (which has always exceeded the shorts), but at the same time, the Bitlicense's comment period is nearing close and we could see Gemini and/or the ETF nuking the shorts from orbit.

From all your possibles disasters for bitcoind drop the only part i do believe is if price go down to 100 dollars the supply wont be enought, as people will invest a lot trying to get the bitcoin cheap, even knowing that bitcoin may not recover people will buy them.

I am honest and I don't want the price of bitcoin to reach $100 even though I am a trader because I wanted to make the price of bitcoin even higher. Because that is going to give us good profit if this happens. So if you wanted to buy bitcoins at low price why not buy today because the price is not going to fall again, believe me.
