Hey Guys, I tried to compile this coin last nigh but for some reason it cant find the libdb files anywhere even when I pass in the actual paths as arguments to the build.

Anyone else having issues compiling?, first time I have stuck this issue

Was having some issues with a pool I was mining on. Notified the dev. Issue was immediately fixed and stuck coins were returned with no hastle. Pool now works again. Thanks dev I will continue to mine exp because of your dedication.

Issues for Yobit, and others with similar issue.


The GitHub now has a new branch called "bdb51" setup.

To use this branch take the following steps:

git clone https://github.com/experiencecoin/experiencecoin.git

Code:

git checkout bdb51

Now you will be on the Berkeley DB5.1 branch, which will hopefully work now.

If you don't use Git, you can download the source ZIP here  https://github.com/experiencecoin/experiencecoin/archive/bdb51.zip


A reason we stick with BDB 5.3, which is what our current main wallets are, is that the latest version of Ubuntu no longer includes 5.1, so it'll be easier for users in the future to compile with 5.3 than 5.1.

Dev whats the plan for this coin?  What are you currently working on that puts value in this coin?

i cant see it hitting an exchange without at least a roadmap or something to show continual development...thats also how i thing you will generate hype.

I want to see a value to this coin as i think it has great potential but i dont see anything being done to generate the needed interest

Certainly.  I thing you are right and his/her dedication is excellent, i just think we need to get more info out about what this coin is heading towards, what the plan is etc so when the right people see it they get interested straight away

Hazcat, thanks for being curious as to what the plans are for this coin. In the coming days, I will reveal a well thought out plan, that I hope to use, to take this coin, from just another one in the crowd, to a well utilize currency amongst gaming across the globe. Though my goals are ambitious, I feel confident, that with my continued effort, and the support of you, and the rest of our community, we can make that dream, into a reality.
