As long as countries allow bitcoin to be used by merchants or to transfer or store money, then I think bitcoin will be fine.  So far that's basically what's happening in a lot of countries.  Bitcoin just needs to be more well known so more people will use it.

Bitcoin is free to use right now without the consent of the government, but sooner or later the government will do something about the bitcoin.

Then you guys should decide whether you'll stay with bitcoin or you'll leave when your government considers it illegal...So far in where I live, no actions yet...Though there is access in the internet nationwide, most people prefer to have a real life day job...Maybe that's the reason why government has no actions yet..

Gov't will never adopt bitcoin as a common currency unless their economy is on the brink of utter collapse and they have no other option at that time. The main reason: They don't have control of it so they don't like to have total control of anything that their country has to use.

Same here, Government can't stop bitcoin until there are so many using of it. Business using it or accept it because trading bitcoin is so easy and safe than the traditional trading system. So that government will forced to used it...

The government will some how adapt the system of blockchain but not bitcoin itself as they dont get any profit from the users of bitcoin.
When they see an opportunity of earn from the system of blockchain they will try to kill bitcoin.

If the economy is on the brink of collapse, that is when they will try to stop Bitcoin at all cost. Think of Venezuela and all those high inflation countries. They are going all out to stop Bitcoin.

On the other hand, if they think about it clearly then there is a good chance that using bitcoin will save their country from the brink of failing because of the inflation rate. There is no other way to save the country from high inflation instead of using other currency which obviously using bitcoin is the best for this case

That's exactly right, because regulations were made more strict when things go out of control. The same happened in Venezuela. This scenario changes when crypts get acceptance in most of world population.

I agree that governments try to limit bitcoin if it extends but bitcoin experience suggests that other crypto-currencies may develop if bitcoin be limited.

well if governments will want to regulate bitcoin they will most probably ban all the cryptos that are possible

though i doubt that they will start doing that because people would be really mad about that in my opinion

Governments either adapt or will try to make it impossible to happen if they don't. However, we have been seeing that they have been adapting and many of them are even the main investors of some projects.

Argentina does not represent the typical government, but yes, it does show that a government's efforts at limiting bitcoin will fail.

Banning bitcoin will just really result in fail as the government cant really track their citizens constantly and people wont even allow that they are being tracked.

I think prohibit bitcoin is the only way to stem the growth rate of bitcoin in their country. even in some countries provide legislation that using bitcoin is a violation of the law and could be subject to criminal and prison. Tis is very scary. what do you think about this?

The same thing happened with online gambling and yet people keep gamble although it is prohibited and illegal in their own country. This regulation will not make people totally stay away from bitcoin, it will only force people to use their minds on how to use it secretly without being known

The situation is even worst in developing countries as majority of the people have an average income and they have to pay taxes too so it becomes really difficult for them to save so I believe that government should wave off the taxes of the people below a certain income.

Yeah, that's what will actually happen when government would prohibit bitcoin in their country..Banning it would probably force it's users to hide...Specially those who are earning bitcoin, and consider it as an income...

sure bitcoin and goverment wont work. As bitcoin is free to taxes and government want taxes. The most possible way if the government want to do digital currency it is most possible they'lle make they are own digital currency. Well that is my opinion.
