No, we do not make any serious announcements there.
It is an event with big players in the energy market and we can talk and present our Energy Platform and discuss future business cases.
You can say we are there just for networking and get international attention from the energy audience interested in blockchain solutions we offer.
Yesterday we had also a private meeting and that can lead to a partnership for some applications on our Energy Platform.

All cryptos are suffering and value is dropping seriously.
I say now time to buy or give support to EnergyCoin on Bittrex.
BTC is cheap and ENRG also, so take your change!

Hi everyone, first post here.

I'm Ravi, I live in Oakland CA and I work to bring early stage cleantech innovations to society and to investors. Lots of interesting applications for the blockchain and for a lower-energy-cost bitcoin replacement. I just installed and synched the Wallet. Excited to start participating. I have the wallet open, will it automatically mine/generate coins? Do I receive them elsewise and then earn more through staking them?

Depending on your amount ENRG in your wallet you get a reward for supporting the network.
After 24 hours the indicator with the green arrow can tell you how much time you to wait.

We have now the webwallet wallet functionality for EnergyParty our Energy Platform for future applications.
The interface is not 2018 user-friendly yet but we are building a sophisticated version on top of www.EnergyExchange.eu before Q2 is the planning for now.
Then we have great starter projects in the pipeline they are used to build the framework for much more similar projects.
We can host now about 20.000 tokens on the platform so we have some room for growth!

I have bought some ENRG to support the industry. And I would like to know can we stake with the web wallet? Or we need to stake on our side? 24 x 7 x 356? Then I think it is not quite energy user friendly. I think you could do better and do some swap. DPOS is quite a good solution.

Hi There,

Welcome to the ENRG community!

With blockchain you need always nodes 24/7 and more is better than less.
But a node for EnergyCoin can be just a RaspberryPI that consumes less then $ 5,- energy per year.
A bitcoin mining node asks huge amount of energy if they are powerfull enough to get mining rewards.

We fight against the asumption that staking coins costs also lot af energy but that is not true!
The only thing is you net a 24/7 node to get Pos-reward and we can think of Dpos but not a priority for now.
When we have our use cases in the air and we need upgrade to 5.0 technology then we do but not before we have running business.

Are we going to new exchanges, any update?

Binance, Poloniex are great..

LiteBit.eu is exchange of Netherlands..at least this one.

First applications and than exchanges.
We have one other exchange Nova.
But there is no market so we are still too small for more exchanges yet.
When there was a very active community then we where bigger then you can imagine and listed on more exchanges.
Check the slack, there is no activity yet.
So first we have to prove that we have great applications and then we get the attention we deserve.
For now be happy that we are on a great exchange and they shall never delist us!

I saw ENRG in bittrex and traded it a bit.  Being listed in Bittrex is already an advantage. Maybe a little promotion and marketing can get ENRG more attention and a bigger community.

We start soon with serious marketing.
The first step was our Energy Token Platform and now we can easily build applications.

Simple, we serve the Environment and the ultimate goal is beat "the energy wasting Bitcoin".
My motto 4 years ago "EnergyCoin the green Bitcoin of the future"

We have the energy token platform and that is a killer app when we launch the applications that make use of that.
All users need 1 EnergyCoin minimum to make use of the apps and that makes them shareholder of the EnergyCoin Ecosystem.
Check my personal website with examples we want to build and this we can offer worldwide!
EnergyCoin as it is now we can improve to the latest technology if needed.
Miljoens transactions per seconds if needed we can offer with future updates.
The technology we use now is from 2014 but not needed yet to use experimental technology.
If we have paid customers in the energy and environmental sector development is no problem and Foundation owns about 15% of all the ENRG.
With a projected value of € 3,- in 3 years that is about 45M but that is very conservative imo with the team that stands behind this coin!

For anyone who doesn't know, Bitcoin is now using more energy then is used to power the whole of Nigeria.   Thats a nation of 186 million people who are costing less then BTC to send some digits.
 Bitcoin is expensive to process and so its causing a problem some of this is evident in transaction fees.   Energycoin is way more efficient for starters [also its tons faster to use], its fairly reasonable to assume Bitcoin is going to be forced to either radically change or be replaced as its too inefficient.
  All modern capitalist markets are ultimately driven by efficiency and of course this is the nature of technology also, improvements have to be made for true growth

Sooner or later we will be discovered and we will be able to grow towards the appreciation we deserve.
In The Netherlands, we have a small team for the foundation and there is big international development team that is working behind the scenes.
When we have implemented the first applications we shall present the international development team that supports us and start a global marketing campaign.
Warning, I really think that the current value of ENRG is very undervalued but the market has to decide in the near future.

Getting a stake is a reward for finding a new block for EnergyCoin blockchain.
Bitcoin uses mining for finding new blocks we use stake but you can only get a reward when you have mature coins in your wallet.
The interest you get is about 5% when 20% of all the coins are supporting the network.
There are created 1M extra coins each year and total supply is 120M.
The more nodes and coins online the more secure the network is.

Yes, I agree!
The real benefits of PoS are that the holders of the coins are also holders of the network.
The only disadvantage is that you need some coins to get the PoS reward and big holders have an advantage.
That is something we want to improve in the near future.
All the smart meters can be a node and help to secure the network.
But first, we need a working Prove of Concept with our EnergyCoin Platform.
We hope before summer one test site in The Netherlands.
I'm now on my way to have a meeting with the energy cooperative that wants to be the first community.
