That's the trend here, when bitcoin is up altcoins down and vice versa. The price matter especially for the traders and the investors because we are looking to take advantage on the price fluctuation since bitcoin is good in fluctuating, with price fluctuation we can make money and as a trader we do not want to see a stable price.

Price of bitcoin for me really matters. If the price is high, then I sell and hold the fiat until price dump. When the price is low, I will buy and hold bitcoin until it's price rise with good profit. Yeah, price traders will always be affected by the change in bitcoin's price and its stability, they would always want a fluctuated and flexible market. Volume is what is important now, and I believe the recent increase was brought by the continuous demand of bitcoin and not a manipulative action of the whales. I can tell the way the price move and I am expecting more increase when the price starts to be stable.

Bitcoin was conceived as a currency in its own right and as a payment system in and of itself. As any currency out there it needs trust of the people who are using it, but it builds this trust on purely technical grounds, not on some religious beliefs (that wouldn't last long, anyway). In this sense, it doesn't need so much loyalty as impartiality and fairness (just in case, not something which you would expect from a government)...

Yeah right almost people here i think are talking about money they are interested in bitcoin because it is money and they earning here because of bitcoin.. so it helps a lot that we can earn few bitcoins just in signature campaign that you can start use the small amount ot your trading that you can increase the amount everytime the invested altcoin was increase and make profit..

Bitcoin does not need investor but investors need bitcoin because it gives them money, they are the ones who are making bitcoin so popular now which resulted to a big price increase, bitcoin will have no value if we will stop supporting it, so since the price matters let's continue to support to make this grow stronger.
