No one is "issuing" 100s of billions of coins. Siacoins are produced purely by PoW mining, so new coins are held by miners, not by developers (they are not "issued" by the developers like in other coins). Nebulous actually controls less than 1% of the total circulation. By no means the coins in circulation are in the order of 100s of billions. This has been largely discussed in the past: hosts are not liable of the contents they hold in their disks. It is like trying to accuse Amazon or Azure because their servers were holding a website with links to illegal content instead of accusing the proper website. In the United States; hosts are considered safe from user submitted content under section 512 of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Storage providers, websites and ISPs (Internet Service Providers) are considered protected under 230(c)(1) of the Communications Decency Act. Can I be held liable for user's files if they store illegal content?

In the European union; hosts may be protected by Directive 2000/31/EC as long as they meet certain criteria.If the opposite was true, then internet service providers isps will be liable for dark web, cp, weapons etc. Its a moot law that middle men are not liable for the end users crimes and actions, especially in the internet. Even in EU there were many people claiming otherwise but the courts have maintained that it is the perpetrators of the crime who are responsible. |

Dont f'n help with what looks like either bitmain didnt sell any and the network hash for antpool jumped to 1p/h overnight.
Difficulty jumped 2mil in 24hours.
Call to BAN miner producers from running "test phase" on live systems. All they do is fuck their clients over.

Bitcoin has strong impacts on all altcoins, so it's better if you take bitcoin movements into consideration before going to final forecast about price of Sia, in particular. |
