He is also neglecting that the coins become completely inaccessible for 110 blocks after staking. After those 110 blocks is when they can START maturing for staking. Meaning it will take hundreds more blocks, as coded, before the first staked coins become available to stake again.
he is not listening doing same thing over and over is this 4th time he extended it.. 2nd. Made progress both times. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1066687.msg11476452#msg11476452If you wanted to vote for us to get stuck in round one you missed your chance. This needed to happen. If you or anyone else has suggestions on avoiding a full stop mid round 1 I'm all ears. Shortening confirms to like 5 or something seems to be the best answer so far. Edit* Difficulty is 22.6k and I can't solo that. Pool is coming online soon so I can rent and lower the diff. Will be out of sync until we get a block, no big deal. i hope that it will work, but why not change stakiug maturitry and minimum to be less than 1, i assume there is people with less than a coin that would like to stake as well.. i don't know much if aything , i just hope it will work one of these days .. Figure out where this mythical "hard-coded minimum" is and I will excitedly change it. (I'm still looking too..) So far all I can think of for us to play with is A: Change the number of confirms needed for new coins from 100 to something small. B: Lower the maturity time from 8 hours. Other suggestions that may not be possible, and might break things if they are include: A: Find the "minimum" variable and lower it. B: Figure out how to lower the staking difficulty. Alright so where do we stand on this guys? What do we want to do? Once we come up with our final decision I will push it out and have the BE update. There's not much need for him to update only to have to do it again.

In my opinion it would be better: number of confirms for new coins: 20 Dpos block start: 8000 (It takes too long to get to 11000 blocks) Maturity time: 4 hours

dev when registered in bittrex? Probably not before round 2-3 In my opinion it would be better:
number of confirms for new coins: 20 Dpos block start: 8000 (It takes too long to get to 11000 blocks) Maturity time: 4 hours
Alright ty. That's one vote for: 20 Confirms & 4 hours maturation. 8000 is too soon, we are about to hit it already.

Sound like a good coin. Bought 0.175 Greed at YoBit.Net. Hopefully it will be a good investment. Anyway, it would be nice if you add YoBit.net to the exchange section in the first post.

There are so few coins, we are having difficulty overcoming the minimum difficulty for staking. We are probably going to have to bite the bullet and just let the POS blocks take hours until eventually, it is overcome.

I'm not certain, but I think the best way to overcome the POS hurdle is for anyone with over 1 coin in one deposit transaction should split all of their coins by sending themselves a multiple input transaction with .5 coins each. That way, when you get a stake, only a .5 coin input is deducted from your weight rather than 1+ coins. I don't recommend splitting lower because your inputs may not have enough time to mature before the big dPOS blocks hit.

yup as many small deposits as possible at the start to get it roll'n along... and yes thanks to the miners, I hope they don't need to use alot of hp to keep it move'n EDIT so send a transaction wait until it's arrived and has at least 1 confirm before you send the next transaction... it will help a lot

I think a few people dusted off their usb sticks. Hopefully somebody doesn't decide to put a lot of hash on it by mistake and then realize they are getting 0 rewards and move one. It's a real pain when that happens because we are stuck with high difficulty, and people have to rent hash at MRR and try to mine in such a way to get the difficulty back down.

Alright, so we seem to be leaning towards: 20 confirms 4 hours to mature start big blocks @9000 Anyone else want input on this? Also, it should be noted again that some people have had a hard time getting weight on less than 1 coin. Depending on how small you split it up, it could take a long time. Thankfully we have yobit now so if anyone fails to get weight in time they can sell and get back in for round 2. Anyway, it would be nice if you add YoBit.net to the exchange section in the first post.
Added, thanks for bringing my attention to it.

i was wondering about deposits under 1 coin, aren't these types normally 1 coin = 1 weight?

No, I only have 1.5 coins and my weight is 6 right now. Seems to work like one of spots coins in that aspect.
