Qora has been slow in bringing improvements to the system, but it is far from dead (I think). Price and volume sometimes move in the exchanges (as per coinmarketcap) but still, it is very undervalued for its features. Both Bitshares and Qora could make a pretty nice addition to the "blockchain tools". Just my opinion.  Roll Eyes

Prices for BTS has increased a little but not that much today. Right now, it could be a great investment for long term, as price is relatively stable. I am waiting to grab more cheap BTS soon.  Smiley

Congrats for all you have accomplished. Now IMO it should be ALL HANDS ON DECK to make everything more user friendly.

As of now its a mess. It shouldn't be so complicated. I'm off to try and figure out how all this works , because your obviously on to something here.

here's a get started with bitshares and newbie friendly tutorials http://favs.pw/get-started/

Thanks to this guide, I was able to learn more about BitShares like Proxy Voting and how to become a delegate. Also, I got a better understanding of how OpenLedger works. This is a very ideal guide for those who are starting into BitShares and even those who still need a better understanding of the platform. I'm looking forward for more exciting things to happen into BTS.  Smiley

That sounds very interesting. I think this is a new features of BitShares, since I have never heard about it before. Sounds like it will be similar to Monero's ring signatures I guess. Looking forward to read more about this once your guide is ready.  Smiley

It's actually much more like Monero's stealth addresses, and not at all like Monero's ring signatures.

Thanks for your reply. Just in case, do you happen to know where I could keep up to date with BTS development, like the features that are currently being worked on and the ones that are coming up next? Features like the stealth addresses makes BTS very handy, but I would definitely like to know more about planned features for the platform. Perhaps a road map will suffice?  Roll Eyes

Hello,

I was wondering if there is anyone out there that could answer a question for me? I got back into cryptos in early 2016 here after taking a 12-16 month break and BTS was one of the first projects I was reading into and thought "this is really cool".

My question is regarding the price history and I'm curious why it's been on a slow decline from basically .00009 a couple years ago to now .000011 when it seems like the tech has only gotten better? Did it just come out of the gate super over hyped? Did the public just decide to pump the coin? Or is there a story to why it's worth basically 10% of what it used to be a few years ago?

Thanks in advance for anyone's time who responds.

I'd say it was lack of promotion. the tech is superior to most if not all coins at the time / at the moment

I'd take it for what it is, an incredible moment of opportunity to get a good share of BTS at true bargain pricing.
Back then, fewer coins were around … BitShares have also evolved in its vast entirety - since its first appearance.
Now, we have one of the best developed & maturing platforms in the entire crypto- and blockchain based activity.
Let's remember well BitShares just started out in 2014, and in this short time a lot of good things have happened.
The currently awesome entry level prices might not last for much longer, sometimes we already tickle up by a lot,
eventually, a new price level will be reached and find consolidation. For now, it's quite easy to buy cheap and roll
with our Decentralised Conglomerate, Openledger, the many wonderful features of BitShares. It's just beginning …
