Well first of all is pretty hard to play dice game without basic button for bet like minimum bet, 1/2x bet, 2x bet and maximum bet amount, when we go to bet it put maximum amount into bet tab instead of asking anything about this and most important thing is bot for bet as auto betting option.

This is not true.  We rewrote that game from the ground up.  Our backend code is custom and our betting engine is nothing like that script.    

You do make some other points about min bet etc, but saying we will run with the funds is a complete accusation with no merit.  We have been in beta for the best part of a year.  We have completely built this casino from the ground up.  We have not lost any customer funds in the time we have been operating, which has been since Dec 2013.

I will wait until laughingbear returns to fully answer the other points.  Please don't dismiss our site because our edge is high and low limits.  Low limits are there because unlike most other sites, we don't use user funds for the bankroll.

@ponzigo  I can see why you would think that, it is an honest mistake.  We used to run that script 2 years ago, that is how we got started.  The code was so bad, and so full of back doors that we scrapped the whole thing and completely rewrote it.  If you look closely it will be clear, they are nothing alike other than the dimensions of the wheel.  The game was a great idea, but the script code was crap.  We completely redid everything ourselves.  If you want more details, come on by and talk with us.  We are in chat right now.

We are not making outrageous claims of wealth , we are not sharks or whales, we are enthusiasts that built a place in crypto we'd like to use ourselves.

Is it?  We think that giving everyone a "supposedly" random client seed is a very easy way for a corrupt casino owner to cheat its users. We could have generated a "random" client seed when you signed up, and that seed
could have been designed to rob you blind, and you would have never known. The fact that everyone has the same starting client seed means that we could not have possibly rigged that seed from the start. Also, you can easily
change your seed at any time, under your "fair?" tab. What you call "hilariously stupid" is actually a very well thought out measure to prevent cheating. Ill try and explain it to you.

Client seed is ONLY one part of the process. Your username is a factor, the daily seed is a factor (made 356K days in advance), server seed, etc...
I admit, it is hard for a non coder to understand fully, and this is why we welcome review from trusted members of the community, that understand the code. It is all there, everything is transparent. It just can not be summed up by hitting one button, and seeing the light is green, so everything must be fair. Crypto and provably fair just isn’t that easy, not if you do it right.

Hello everyone.  Many people know me from back when BTC was in its infancy and I could be considered by some to be a 'whale' although I don't really think so.  I was a huge supporter of WorldCoin (at one time I had over $60K USD worth of it).  I've known the guys that run this site since it was wdcspin.com, years ago.  I've made many bets (look at the leaderboards or the bet history to see for yourself) and these are stand up guys running a legit site.  Since playing on cryptobetfair, I'm up over 40,000 WDC the last time that I checked.

While the house does have an edge, there are proven methods to beat the odds.  I've been very successful using a modified martingale betting system on both the spin and drop games.  This only works because the site is 100% provably fair and statistics are on your side until max bet is reached.  There are definitely times that you will lose, but I must say, for me to lose now after being up so much, it is unlikely and the games are truly addictive to play once you are winning.  I don't mind explaining the betting system that I use, since you can see it in action by watching the bet history when I play.  For those that are interested, this is the method that I use:

In a normal martingale system, you double your bet on a loss and reset to the initial bet after a win.  I tried this for a while and it worked ok, but was not ideal.

What I do is triple my bet on a loss of anything other than 0X, and quadruple my bet on 0X losses.  If a 1.25X win occurs, I reduce next bet amount by 4X, otherwise if a larger win is hit, reset to initial bet.  The key is to start the bet small enough to not reach the max bet often.  When max bet is reached, I've had success either max betting until I reach the previous balance or limiting max bet to 3 or 4 times and then resetting to the initial bet.

I'm not sure how exactly you think it is better than Just-Dice's provably fair system, which is pretty much the standard for dice site provable fairness, and so it's hard to dispute your claim.

I think that was his point. You need to click every individual bet. That's inconvenient. You also need to make a note of the server seed hash before each roll so you can check afterwards that it didn't change. It's too much overhead.

The added complexity of having a daily seed makes matters worse. If I make 100 bets I have to choose between two inconvenient methods of verifying them:

1) wait until the next day, get the dseed for the day I made the bets on, and generate the 100 rolls

2) note the server seed hash before each roll, and click each betid to verify that the roll was fair

So either 1) wait 24 hours or 2) click 100 times. Neither is very satisfactory, especially when most sites have already solved the problem. Just use a server seed, a client seed, and a nonce. Let the player reveal the server seed whenever they like and otherwise don't change it; rely on the changing nonce (bet_ctr) to change the rolls.

That's the system pioneered by Just-Dice and nowadays used by pretty much every reputable dice site.

We are immediately working on a batch verifier to fix this.  Expect it within days.  We will make sure that it is easy and clear for anyone to use. This was a missing part of our system, thanks again for pointing it out.

I have to disagree with you here.  I think this step is so very important. True, these people don't care, but WE care.  We want to prevent EVERY single possible way that we could cheat. I am a little surprised that you don't see that as a honorable effort to make everything as fair as possible.  This is a hole where an admin could cheat their users. We absolutely can not ignore that.  With all these dice sites around now, and more appearing every day, someone is either using this hole to exploit users or will use it soon.  Yes, you are correct that in our current layout, this makes bulk verification difficult. We will fix that. The system is solid, making it easier to confirm is the next step.

Less features- The only thing we were missing from our dice game was a few "min-1/2-2x-max" buttons on the manual part of dice. This has already been fixed and live NOW.
Keyboard shortcuts are on the way. If you can show us anything else we might be missing let us know, we will be happy to add it.

Higher house edge- Fair enough, 1% house edge live NOW

Lower max bets than almost all the competition- That will grow over time and we are adding more to our bankroll every day. We are new, and using our own funds.  We are more focused on fair, steady growth.

We are not like most other places. Community is more important to us than fast and easy personal profits. We are in it for the long haul. I look at our decision not to have an investment feature as just another way to prove that we are fair.  I see too many sites that use customer funds, then magically take a loss. We prefer to take the risk ourselves for now. We believe enough in what we are doing to grow slowly, and honestly.

I think we are building our business the right way. We do not need to be the biggest. We are building a foundation on fairness, trust, transparency, and community. Open to change, and willing to do whatever it takes to eliminate cheating.

I hope you come revisit us in a few days once the bulk verifier is in place, and we welcome any more constructive advice.

And I guess the answer is "you can't - either the game is fair, or we are using a weakness in sha256 and sha512 which nobody else even knows exists". If you don't trust the strength of sha256 then all bets are off (as it were).

But maybe I've misunderstood your question; please let me know what you're really asking.

Then force them to set a client seed before play, as Ryan suggests. Job done. Then there's no need for daily secrets, no need for constantly changing server seeds, players can easily and immediately verify all their rolls.

We are working on a combination of solutions, all bets will be verified instantly and every bet made will be verifiable in bulk after one hour. 
I think we have come up with a clever solution, that will be very easy for everyone.

As I understand it, the post is describing the case when a user set's the client seed to "lucky" and then places a bet. If the server sees the client seed was indeed lucky, it might change it to "1ucky". If they use a font that makes no visual difference between "1ucky" and "lucky" the person won't notice, and if they use the permuted client seed for verification, the game will appear provably fair.

It's a cute thought experiment, but it would be one of the stupidest ways imaginable for a casino to cheat. If anyone noticed (and they almost certainly would if they verified any bets), it would prove malicious intent. If a casino was going to cheat, it'd be better off doing it in a way that has plausible deniability ("Whoops, the change to your client seed didn't update in the db! Maybe you didn't submit it?")

One of the reasons we did not use  window.crypto is that it is not compatible with all browsers. We went through a lot of pains (and still are) to make sure that our site is fully responsive and usable for as many people as possible.

Again the "complexity" or our system is currently being addressed, and we will have several solutions available very soon.

We still believe that using all zeros to start with the client seed, is more direct and obvious proof that we would not use a bad seed.

No, on my sites I use a machine-centric provably fair system, as I want machines to verify each bet, and be able to do it instantly. It's definitely a trade-off, but one I've been very happy with. App developers have had no trouble incorporating a check, which in a more complex (or batch system) would be x100 the work.

I also have a different set of requirements too, so I wouldn't recommend the same scheme for your site. (I'd honestly just copy Just-Dice's, and if I cared about the fairness of the initial client seed I'd force people to set it manually)

One of the reasons we did not use  window.crypto is that it is not compatible with all browsers. We went through a lot of pains (and still are) to make sure that our site is fully responsive and usable for as many people as possible.

I think it's supported in all current browsers, except Opera Mini. If it's not available, you can fallback to Math.random or even random.org or something.

But it completely possible in the CoinDice script. (again, I was confuddled regarding the CoinDice / JustDice thing).
Because in the end, do you read the js of a page? and is what you see the same seed. without clientside logging, seeds that are not hex or bin, but ascii are a problem because they leave vectors open.
But ofc dropping bets. or skipping/silently returning bets are the most likely suspects.

But on the forcing of setting a client seed, well thats maybe a point, but still considering the way the serverseeds are chained on cbf. And how they are implemented in the verifier not setting the clientseed is still not a big deal. ofc you can. But as long as the dailyseeds match up aswell as betverification. that bet was provable fair, because the server can't change it clientseed.

So, after 1 year in operation in our current form we decided a new paint job was needed. (always a wip for our talented web designers)


 
We are continually improving CryptoBetfair and as a result we have recently rolled our new UI update which has increased both performance and user interaction.

We also addressed the comments made by the community and have made some fantastic improvements.
 
What is new?
 
We made all bets downloadable including our entire bet history, so anyone can download them and verify.  We have also developed an addon for the site so you can see that the verified hashchain is reporting correctly.  There is also a method for validating bets on the fly.
 
 
We have also introduced an affiliate program which has many advantages over standard methods.  Like our provably fair system and our voucher system or anything on the site, this has been built from the ground up.   We always seek to innovate, not clone.


 
Our new affiliate system works as follows:
 
If you sign up WITH a referral link (it can be your own) you will immediately qualify for a 2.5% refund on losses over a 24 hour period.
 
If someone signs up with YOUR referral link you will immediately qualify for a 7.5% cut of that person's losses over a 24 hour period.
 
Why did we do this?
 
We thought we would give something to the person signing up via a referral link.
 
This gives a bigger incentive to the person signing up via a referral link.
 
What it means for us.
 
It means we are potentially giving 10% of all our profits back to the users, with all parties benefiting from the promotion.

I suppose it depends if you are a gambler or just a referrer.

You can sign yourself twice to any site to get the referral bonus for yourself.

This way the person who uses a referral link doesn't have to do anything to get an immediate 2.5% return every 24 hours.

I think 10% is a standard and maybe they could give 10% to referrer and 2.5% back to referred just as a signup bonus.

I see where you are coming from here.  Would you prefer the full 10% than the 7.5% + 2.5% incentive for the person being referred?

The incentive is a great idea. It allows to say "use this link and get a bonus on...". However the main problem - self referrals - is not solved. Maybe adding some simple prevention for that (even though easily bypassable, IP based for example) can help stop that revenue leak for affiliates?

The majority of people signing up with a referral link wont bother to make another account.

The people that always do it will circumvent ip restrictions and such like.

I like the idea of giving a new user a bonus for using a referral link because its automatic and as mentioned before is something the referrer can use to advertise.

I think you should slowly transition to this new wallet within the next few months but keep the old ones still active because many people will still deposit to those addresses.

But still slowly progression with some steady outcome is better than faster progression with a quick outcome but only for some period of the time.
