It is rare... it can be mined sha256 and scrypt, it has a reasonable 5 minute block time. The wallet works like a charm...
The developer is active on many fronts but this is his 'sleeper' coin...

Strangely, I do expect some good things with it...

The really nice thing is you can start mining now and get a substantial number of DUO... mainly because there are only
214,188 coins ( as of this writing ) of a maximum 1 million which will take years to mine...

I do hope we get some things going on it soon enough....

Quite excellent things are happening.

I was little bit out of everything, but finally by the end of this month or beginning of February I will finish integration of DUO in sites I manage.
Much of things are already done, so as it gets complete there will be one user database for bitstickers.net, bitnodes.net, com-http.us, parallelcoin.info and few others in future. All users will be able to earn DUO from the system by writing articles, posting images, sharing on social networks, commenting, making friends, groups, referring others etc. DUO will be payed from fund I mined for all time I was supporting the network http://explorer.parallelcoin.info/richlist
After earning DUO members will be able to withdrawn that DUO or to buy stickers of nodes on much cheaper prices than regular. Also there will be banking option with interest rate, so if you keep your DUO there it will grow. As I wrote DUO can be withdrawn but it will be available to deposit also.
Another thing is DUO core which will be updated to latest bitcoin core and also we are researching merged mining, so if everything goes well we will have first dual merged coin.

They answered "If the coin is selected by our team then you will see it listed here and in the important messages!"

It is not a good idea to spam them in filling the add coin request form again, but what other possibilities are there to get Parallelcoin added to Poloniex?

after a quick exchange of messages with marcetin, i came to realize that DUO was listed at bittrex. excuse me for not knowing this, i have only just recently stumbled across this coin. i believe there are a two main reasons why the coin did not receive enough volume to continue trading on there.

1. community takeover coins aren't really that popular when they are taken over, because the original developer vacated the project.
2. lack of coin supply- i can only imagine what the coin supply was back when it was listed, there was probably not enough coins trading hands to even come close to the minimum volume limit bittrex requires to maintain the listing.

while none of these are the fault of the current developer, those are probably the things that contributed to the delisting.

i do not believe bittrex is a MUST right now for parallel coin, but it could be important in the next few months. let's see what marcetin has to say about all this.

Parallelcoin was removed from Bittrex about one year before the coin takeover through the community took place.. so as written before, it would be interesting now to readd DUO again to Bittrex.
