Just wanted to check in on some old friends. I had a high stake going but then my comp fritzed out, and of course!!!!!! I lost the wallet. Friggin' sux. I knew this was a coin to invest in. Good luck for the future.
  BTW.....phrase of the day....

 Riches get their value from the mind of the possessor;
they are blessings to those who know how to use them,
and curses to those who do not.

how many coins is a high stake going?

He lost his coins which sucks, gone forever from the cap.

IMHO we need to do the following to help get SPROUTS (SPRTS) better spread out and wider adoption.
More exchanges. (Bittrex/YoBit) etc.

https://yobit.net/en/addcoin/

Perhaps get some Tweets going to..
But in order to really Tweet about a project we need something to actually "tweet" about.

We need some better PoS tools to check PoS blocks, etc etc. .
Kind of like what presstab done here: (http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/HYP/charts.php?type=annualrate).

How are the PoS rewards calculated?

For instance I prefer smaller blocks.  I would assume payouts are on a per block basis like most PoS coins.  Block of 100 stakes in 7.3 days, from my understanding is the rewards are 10% + 2%/day after.  One of my blocks of 100 stakes in 7.3 days and I get a payout of 7.3.  7.3 SPRTS is not 14.3% of 100.

Can someone explain what is going on here and why my payout came out half of what it should of been?

https://www.blockexperts.com/sprt/tx/4c4761d675adb79ed85bfd01fa5c2fc3a2df2a9578866cf1db4dc5dbc5bf232d

Did some more work and it looks like if I take 10%/2 = 5% and 2%/2 = 1%

Days to stake 7.3
5%+1%+1%+.3% = 7.3% * 100 SPRTS = 7.3 SPRTS

Which is half of the promised PoS reward.  Can someone explain what happened here?

a block of 1k when staked will split into 2 blocks 550 each. it is common for pos coins to split the block and stake payments into 2 blocks, use coin control to recombine these into a large block and ensure quick staking and more compounding.

Smaller blocks are usually good here however you wanna get paid on that 5th day if possible and recombine the blocks and do it again! This will maximize the interest you will gain per month

I know how to use coin control and purposefully split my blocks into the sizes they are.  When looking at the block explorer as you explained it I should see two transactions with 14.6 split into two making 7.3 each.  This isnt what im seeing in the BE. I see the 7.3 split between the two blocks.

Doesn't answer my question.  My question was why didn't my block receive the full % promised instead I got half of what was promised.  I'm full aware of how PoS works and in some cases it is needed to keep 1 large block.  I'm looking to help secure the blockchain more than get the most "efficient" stake as that requires killing my coin weight from what has built up from after staking.  I don't have the time to baby sit the wallet like that.  My question was why didn't I get the full reward as promised in the ANN.  I received half of what I was supposed to.  7.3% and took around 7 days to stake.

Yea I agree.  Putting them all in 1 block will save some of the hassle of having to do it again for a while.  It doesn't really matter the block size because you will get payed a percentage pretty much anyway.  Just don't let the blocks get verysmall or the will not have much weight and it will take them a long time to stake...if they are to small they will not stake at all.
Sorry for the delay in posting back to every ones messages but i have been without intrnet and moving for a while.  I think I got back to everyone though.
I am pretty sure we can get on Bittrex and yobit and maybe Poloniex but we will need defaceds help on that one.  I will see if he will help us out again.
This coin has been a pretty big money maker for everyone involved and still has a long way to go and the price will continue to rise if we do the right things.
If you guys are still serious about the promotions for the coin then I think I can get someone for Twitter as well as someone to help out with the thread.  I need to ask them if the will take Sprouts as payment since the price has gone up so much since the last time I spoke with them.  We need to get some more people in the irc channel as well and have some rain parties and stuff also.  I am open to anything you want to do.  We are still going up in price and the coin stakes a lot.  Post in here or send a message to me or whatever if you have any more ideas.  Would be great if everyone could come hang in the irc channel to keep it getting more filled up....it is freenode and the channel is #sproutcoins.   We can still have a lot of fun and there is plenty of coin to be made.....even more than some have already made.

LOL..

"All the cool kids affixing plastic plants to their heads. According to the New York Times, clipping plastic bean sprouts, flowers, gourds or any other kind of vegetation to your crown is what’s hot in the streets."

So, people are truly catching on to the SPROUTS movement.. Who knows maybe its some kind of sub-culture.. We may be ahead of the curve on this one guys Wink

wow Sprout mania is real!

people say me
why grow plant on head?
I say them
because that is way to freedom

we start this movement

so sprouts was involved in sprouts on head... so how come the imagery hasn't kicked off actual awareness of the sprouts cryptocurrency? I don't buy it.. I think it is a coincidence that sprouts and a sprouts coin are around.

Don't get me wrong I have a sizable holding of sprouts but I prefer evidence just doesn't sound right to me. If there is evidence then I retract my statement and commend those that did it. Google shows no correlation between sprout heads and any mention of the coin.

I'm a bit confused.

The network is showing 1.65 TH at the current time; and Cryptopia where I am mining is showing 1.5 TH.  Why is the pool only popping one block in 30?
