Another birthday for CAT!

All of the infrastructure is paid for another year as are the domain names.  Except one...catcoins.org.  We'll track down the community member that has that domain and get the site back up...likely in the next week.

Here's to another good year, Cats!
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

we update the dns and ports, please start using:

stratum+tcp://p2pool.e-pool.net:5751   -  stats: http://p2pool.e-pool.net:5751/static/

Enjoy e-pool mining!

Just a couple of notes on block explorers and charts.

It appears all of the explorers at Prohashing are down, including CAT.

The explorer we run (http://catcoinwallets.com:2750/chain/Catcoin) and the Smartchain explorer (http://cat.smartchain.cc/) appear to be running fine.

Blak had some server problems yesterday and I believe that is why the chart at http://catcoinwallets.com/ is malfunctioning.

Other than that, CAT's running fine.

ETA...everything was back the next morning.  Sorry for the delay in the update.

What would you like to see in a coin, Julius?

Our primary work has been to build a coin that "just works" in this modern environment, and I think we're pretty close.  What we don't have are folks to spread the word about CAT, or to offer up suggestions about what they want to see.  One of the community recently submitted code to add multisig to the GUI (it's always been in the console, but not the GUI).  We've done a couple of charity donations to animal shelters.  We've built a solid coin and look forward to input from the community about what's next - thanks for checking in!

The website has a link to crypsy that does not work.

If there is a place where i could buy some coins, i would love to buy them. ( if there is no exchange yet , maybe coinexchange is a good option)

It's amazing to see Catcoin is still alive. I once mined some Catcoin in 2015.

Glad to see CatCoin back alive again and past all it's B.S drama phase. With a now united team, and what appears to be clear vision, this seems to be one of the under valued coins in the ecosystem!

The ispace pool did a server upgrade yesterday.  The pools appear to be on-line, and I got a CAT payment about 12 hours ago.  Their front-end appears to be broken, though - I can't yet log-in to my account there, and their contact email address bounces.  I'll report back when it looks like they're fully back.

I'm paying a 500 CAT bounty for info on pools mining CAT that aren't on our list.  The only ones we know about are in the OP and the main catcoins.org page.  Someone's getting plenty of blocks, so we know there are other pools out there.  Post a new pool address and a CAT addy and get paid. Smiley  Thanks for helping us keep the pool info up to date.

It looks like the ispace pool is back to regular operation after the server migration.  I moved a miner back to the pool and the payout processed normally.

It does appear that their mining chart is reporting 2x the actual hash rate, at least for CAT.  That was the case prior to the migration as well, though.

We submitted updates at CoinMarketCap.

Traders - we have a mission!  If we can get CAT into the 0-300 group on Coin Market Cap, we can work to get CAT into CoinPayments.  To do that it'll take some time, plenty of trading volume, and some excitement.  What do you think, CATs - is it worth doing?

And...we've already moved from about 645 to 595 - and we're up 31% today.   Cool

Damn - 407 on CoinMarketCap  \o/

Something happening at the data center hosting catcoinwallets and our primary block explorer.  Tickets are open.  In the mean time, the OP and catcoins.org has links for the two other block explorers.
