Something happening at the data center hosting catcoinwallets and our primary block explorer. Tickets are open. In the mean time, the OP and catcoins.org has links for the two other block explorers.
Data center problem is fixed and the block explorer's back.

Traders - we have a mission! If we can get CAT into the 0-300 group on Coin Market Cap, we can work to get CAT into CoinPayments. To do that it'll take some time, plenty of trading volume, and some excitement. What do you think, CATs - is it worth doing? And...we've already moved from about 645 to 595 - and we're up 31% today. Damn - 407 on CoinMarketCap \o/ OK CATs - it's time. We know the coin works, we know the infrastructure's sound, and we know we have good mining pools and a good exchange. What's next? We need at least one more exchange. In order to do that, we need trading volume. Yes, there's at least one exchange with a 'pay to play' option, but without trading volume, they'll drop coins and our 'payment' will be lost. To get into CoinPayments we need trading volume and excitement, as those will raise our market cap. We need to double our current approximate $50K market cap to replace coin number 300 and qualify for CoinPayments. Then we need to contribute to the CoinPayments 'vote' to get CAT in. If we can make those things happen, that should give us the strength needed to bring more miners, more traders, and for us to celebrate the strong project we know we have under all that fur. Speak up, everyone - do we want to do this? Is it the year of the cat?

Good Day CATs! Yesterday was a pretty amazing day at Cryptopia! We jumped up to a bit more than 2 US cents per CAT before a slow pull-back that's solidly above where CAT's been for years. For a short time, we got into the top 300 currencies at CoinMarketCap!
It also appears that the 'activation' threshold for profit switch miners has increased with our value, and that our mining difficulty has stayed up. As always, we can use more 24/7 miners. My equipment's been on CAT 24/7 since just after she was born and I'm happy to say that CAT's profitable to mine now - and has more than paid for equipment and electricity to this point.
Talk to us, folks - who's mining? Who's trading? What do you want to see from CAT?
I look forward to seeing where we land after today's stair-stepping!

What's your definition of developed? The coin's been running since Christmas, 2013, has had a number of updates and a couple of forks. There's a new wallet being prepped for release, and we're working to add another exchange and at least one payment processor.

Sounds good – I think this is an interesting coin with great potential given a good dev team and marketing strategy. Am buying and will continue to do so

Sounds good – I think this is an interesting coin with great potential given a good dev team and marketing strategy. Am buying and will continue to do so Thanks for your view, Dexter. While we started as being pretty conventional in a small group of fairly conventional coins, the overall ecosystem of alt-coins has become more of a 'flash in the pan' sort of pump and dump exercise. CAT has always been a long-term coin. It's more like a Land Rover than a Ferrari - it's a four wheel drive all-terrain cat with part of an ear and a bit of fur missing, but that's ready for anything...so to speak. So...welcome aboard! Buy and hold, trade, and if you've got one laying around, feel free to attach a miner. We're on Freenode IRC in #catcoin, ##catcoin, #catcoin-dev, and #geekhash 24/7 (but we do sleep from time to time) if you get a brainstorm. Andy

New Miners! Welcome! As you come in, I'll keep turning my A2s down. As it's summer in San Antonio, thanks for helping me to divert mining electricity to the air conditioner. Just a reminder - there's a 500 CAT bounty for links to pools mining CAT that we don't have on the list (the OP of this thread or the list at catcoins.org). Post a link and a CAT address!

Coinwarz... They don't have us updated**, but they do have a manual profitability page: https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/catcoin-mining-calculator/If you enter the current difficulty, your miner hash rate and power demand, and the current price of BTC, you can get profitability data. We're in 4th place right now, behind CNC, BELA, and CSC. Way to go, CATs! ** We are working to get back into Coinwarz. Their current requirement is to have at least 1BTC trade volume in a recent 24 hour period.

FYI CATs - the price data for CAT on Coinwarz is not correct, so our ranking and profitability isn't correct. We're showing too low. We're requested a fix and will report back when the Coinwarz data is good. In the meantime, we can still calculate profitability manually at: https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators/catcoin-mining-calculator/Our next diff is 213 and we're still profitable to mine there. \o/ Edit... 0350 UTC CoinWarz updated our price link - that was fast! Oh yeah - we just had a >1BTC trading day. Way to go traders!

Coinwarz reports that they use a weighted average price, not a simple pull from the exchange. The manual calculator allows regular calculations.

CATs! Look what you've done! Congratulations! Once we're solidly into the 300s of market cap, we'll apply for inclusion into coinpayments. In the meantime, keep mining, keep trading, and keep spreading the word about CAT! Now that we have more miners around, I've moved one of mine to a pool that mines scrypt coins and pays in CAT. Another way to build momentum.
