Ok, CATs...as you can see from the chart on catcoinwallets.com we're moving again. It cost me more than $350US to lease enough hash to get us back to normal.
Keep mining!

No worries about the PM Alex. We cannot use the earlier wallets as the database has changed at least once, and we've had at least two major upgrades that caused forks since V0.8xxx Ok...let's start fresh. The wallet binary doesn't install, so you don't have to do anything there. Let's erase the blockchain and let it rebuild and see what happens. First, an overview: - stop the wallet (and remove any earlier catcoin wallets - you'll stay with 9.3.0) - delete everything except the wallet.dat - start the wallet and let it reload Details... Press the windows button in the lower left, and enter %appdata% in the search box (this opens the hidden appdata folder) Navigate to AppData > Roaming > Catcoin Inside, you'll see two folders called 'blocks' and 'chainstate'. You'll also see a number of files including one called 'wallet.dat' Delete everything there - but do not delete wallet.dat - that's where your coins are stored Once the folder is cleared of everything except wallet.dat, exit the file explorer and start the 9.3.0 wallet. The wallet will connect to the seed nodes and quickly download the entire blockchain.

Are all of your transactions from the end of 2013/early 2014? It's possible that you were mining one of the many forks that developed in the early weeks after CAT launched. The founder launched the coin at a very low difficulty and used the same difficulty adjustment as BTC. There was a LOT of hash on the coin at launch and more than one million CAT were mined in the first weeks - and there were a lot of forks. Do you remember how you mined your coins?

If you were mining a fork back then, and that fork was pruned, then any coins you mined were lost. I lost a few thousand from those initial 'fork fests' as well - and it sucks.

Did you check your addresses and transaction IDs? If the addresses are marked 'not seen on network' or something similar, then you don't have any CAT to recover. When a coin forks, the mining gains from mining a dead fork disappear - they are not real coins. Valid transactions are sent to all nodes and end up in all chains and as long as the coin generation is valid, the transactions are valid and they will confirm on the network. In December 2013, from launch until the end of the month, a bit more than 1 million coins were mined. Considering how many of us were mining the launch (and how many forks were created in the early weeks) it's very unlikely that you mined 700,000 of those. What likely happened is that you were mining a very low difficulty side chain that lost the race and was orphaned. That means that you didn't generate legit CAT. That's why you have no confirmations after four years and almost 126,000 blocks. Here's the last block generated from 2013: Block 20,209 (1,010,450 CAT mined) http://catcoinwallets.com:2750/block/8e2c962dedb63b2a17c92fd28d29b9679740a4a0a89d63edd9b0b3c201fc5ecbSorry Alex - there's nothing anyone can do if the addresses or transactions aren't on the blockchain.
