January 2018 Monthly Update
Intro
Among being called the “Ultimate Miner's Coin” because UIS can be mined by anyone regardless of the type of hardware they have (CPU/GPU/ASIC) via 5 independent algorithms, this is also very much a community coin. There was never any ICO, premine or developer tax. Extremely fair distribution.

This is the people's coin! We don't care where you are from, what the color of your skin is, or what your religion is! We are all humans that deserve equality and financial freedom!
A lot of good things have been happening recently for Unitus. In this update, I will break everything down; Development, Mining, Exchanges, Marketing, Giveaways, Community. 1st and foremost, though. Let's start with the team!
Meet the Team!We have always had a team, but it was never really organized with specified roles besides a few. Moreover, the team has mostly been centered around development and not much has went into marketing or spreading awareness. Well, we have been trying to change that and balance things out. Now most of us have been assigned roles to complete specified tasks. There are still a few members on the team we trying to assign roles to. We are also looking for talented, individuals who are dedicated and passionate about the project to help out.

Development
Proof of StakePoS implementation is in process and is on pace to be done by our mid 2018 date. With PoS, investors will earn UIS just by holding it in their wallet. Similar to interest.
Electrum WalletWork is ongoing, but there is no date for completion.

Merge Mining Pools We are currently working on adding support for more coins to be merge mined with UIS
CPU Mining CompetitionThe CPU mining competition we held was a success! Smartphones can mine UIS too! We now have about 1000 lines worth of data which you can see here:

MarketingWe have ramped up our marketing efforts recently and have been seeing success. In an effort to create more awareness for the project, we have been holding multiple giveaways which have been rewarding community members for their help and feedback. It has had a synergistic effect helping both the community and the project.
Also like you read up, we are also bringing more people to the team to help with our marketing. It is something we really want to get going.
GiveawaysStarting last month with the CPU competition, we have been holding multiple giveaways that are handing out UIS. We also held one from Christmas – New Years Eve on twitter which went very well. There was 5000 UIS total prizes and 25 winners won 200 UIS each!

CommunityMainly due to the recent marketing efforts and giveaways, the Unitus community has been growing very strong recently. The twitter account has been blowing up non stop with now 2510 followers! There is actually a strong and friendly $UIS community beginning to form there. We also already have almost 250 people in our brand new discord server which is not even 2 weeks old. Our reddit has also been growing pretty nicely with over 200 subscribers. That has been a weak point we are trying to build. Overall, there has been a ton of activity going on within the community. Get in on the action! We are expanding through various platforms!
