My first bitcoins came from Primedice signature campaign way back September 2014. From then on, I started to buy a little amount of btc every month and I have never failed to do so for the past 10 months.
How'd you get your first bitcoins (faucets aside) and what did you do to them?

My first Bitcoin also came from mining an alternate coin, putting those on an exchange and trading them for bitcoin.

Bought them, which that first time really felt like jumping through hoops, especially with the fees that I also had to pay. Wished there was a Bitcoin atm near me. Would make life a lot easier.
Still remember my first payment too, I was worried they would fly off into nowhere.

The good ol' days when faucets can give 1-2 bitcoins per user. I wish I could go back in 2011-2012. I'd definitely rape every faucet available back then.

I got my first bitcoin from one of the oldest bitcoin casino, strikesapphire.com , I played from its poker free roll every day. I also had few mBtc left in my dragon tale account, but I can't play it anymore due to low specs of my PC.

I bought my first Bitcoin on ebay. I was pissed to find out later that the $30 I paid for 1 BTC(actually a 1 BTC mt.gox voucher) was much higher than the market rate.....

I have to say (even though you said faucets aside) is I got my first few satos from a faucet in very late 2013. Without faucets I probably would have never got my hands on enough to mess around with and ultimately learn about Bitcoin. I'm stating this because this is the reason why I think BTC faucets are more important (especially for adoption) then some members here think.
But aside from that, my real first decent amount of BTC was from a good old gambling whale named LiKa Shing. Those were the days, Lol.
