I bought my first bitcoins from a friend. A really good deal too, way below market price. He had an ASIC early on. I was so jelly.

My first bitcoins came from simply me, buying them. Most of my cold storage stash comes from being bought from exchanges through fiat from my day job.

I have been part of 2 signature campaigns & earnt around 2 bitcoin with them but yeah, most of my stash is bought from exchanges with my earnt fiat. I've never sold any bitcoin. HODLING for better times.

The first Bitcoins I received was purchasing a fraction of a Bitcoin. But most of the people I have told Bitcoin about usually start with faucets before they buy some.

Most of the people who are here have received bitcoin either by buying it or from signature campaign. And that is the best way to begin the journey and yes some signature campaigns are giving really good pay out so for the beginner I think the signature campaign is the best source and the safe source of earning bitcoins.

Good old GPU mining.  That is where I started and where I got my first one.  Mined Scrypt and traded to BTC.

Eventually scaled up and did ok mining with GPU's.

My first bitcoin came from Coinbase that I purchased so that I can send payment to Bitmain for an Antminer S1.  At that time, Bitmain did not accept any other types of payments except bitcoins.

Thereafter, all my bitcoins came from mining in various pools (Slush, BTC Guild, Ghash IO).

I had a small farm set up in my garage of 8 Antminer S1's. They're all gone now. I was lucky to have sold them locally before they became unprofitable.
