it was mentioned in a very popular talkshow here. that's when i got interested in bitcoin. it was a tech dude explaining what it was and why it may be a very important alternative to banks.
Thats cool, i havent yet hear any talkshow or any thing about bitcoin with the national tv its just ads all over the internet and also those close friend that they introduce bitcoin. Cool ever since the bitcoin is really famous and now it is most famous, i already heard it in news and other documentaries. Though are still some of the documentaries that saying that bitcoin is a scam, though bitcoin is not scam by it self but they person behind those ponzi and hyip. Since now we could almost saw the bitcoin from national television we could say that it could derive a lot of people on knowing bitcoin that could lead to a higher price.

I admit that the first time I heard about bitcoin was in March 2013. I knew some basic economics and basic computer science. I believe that there is only three concepts that you need to know that makes bitcoin interesting: You can't have a currency that uses something that is not rare. Computers are very good at copying things. If no one is in direct control of something then everyone using it is in control of it. I recognised these things and was fascinated, immediately and began mining. I'm not saying I understood everything about it, it took me a good 2 months to actually understand how it worked. In this time I would constantly referred back to the white paper and try to make sense of it. I am very invested in the success of bitcoin now and it scares me... maybe beyond want I am willing to accept.

Either 2009 or 2010 on either the Overcoming Bias or Less Wrong discussion threads. I knew immediately that it was important and I should invest, although I gave it only a few percentage points chance of catching on. I had the opportunity to purchase 2000 BTC for $20 total (1 cent / each) and I was planning to do so, but I got busy and didn't get the Bitcoin software downloaded, public key generated and letter sent off. After that I figured it was too expensive to buy in, but I finally did in the fall of 2015 because it was clear to me that our present financial system is not sustainable due to debt overload. Shortly after buying in, I discovered the madness of the block size limit, which gradually let me in January 2016 to begin converting some of my BTC to ETH.

2011 from a podcast. Downloaded the client but couldn't figure out what it was doing (other than slowing my computer to a crawl) so I kinda forgot about it. I think it was $5. Next time I heard about it, it had hit $266 after the Cyprus bail-in and I was like what the actual FUCK. Bought in around $70, am hodling.

2012 on ArsTechnica, though I have to say I didn't really understand it. A year later Rick Falkvinge started tweeting about it and I took the time to learn about it some, and bought in.

When I first found out about BTC. I think its wonderful on the grounds that we can procure online through purchasing and offering BTC and as it is winding up more famous it is additionally ending up more costly and when you protect your BTC. You can offer it more costly later on.

I heard of Bitcoin from a friend, he showed me how to get Bitcoin from faucets in 2015. I could get as much as 800,000 satoshi in a day from faucets then. Good old days, should have invested earlier in it then by buying some good amount of Bitcoin, if I knew it would become this successful today. Anyways, I am still glad I knew it then, many people have not heard of Bitcoin till today.

I first learned about bitcoin from my brother. I was very interested in how everything is arranged, how this mechanism works. Started to dig around on the forums, read more / watch about bitcoin. Now, with confidence, I can say that I'm a little more versed in this topic.

I heared it from my friend... about 4 years ago. He's really eager to mine (including other transactions and stuff) even without a stable internet connection. He earned a lot from whatever he's doing from then up to now. I lately heard that he actually earned, and was happy for him. Right now, I also have a high interest in bitcoin but I'm looking for other alternative Cryptocurrencies like ETH
