Slim can use the HEAT exchange is someone knows how to set it up. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1959885

I might be interested but the heatledger website sucks so badly I couldn't find any details on setting up anything. Doesn't inspire confidence.

Cheers

On second PC CPU load is max 0.5%
On third PC CPU load is max 0.5%
I am using the last build without staking

Me too using the lattest version, I cannot stake

Sorry for not updatiing the OS X version, will do so now ...

Drat. My Sierra OS X VM didn't survive the move from Ubuntu to Mint, VMWare reports the VM as running but there's no activity (spit).

There will be a short delay while I rebuild and re-provision the VM.

Hi,

I tried in the console:

reservebalance true 1
walletpassphrase mypassword 999999999999

Do I need to do something else? Thanks for your help

Slimcoin version vSLMCOIN_VERSION_MAJOR.SLMCOIN_VERSION_MINOR.SLMCOIN_VERSION_REVISION.SLMCOIN_V ERSION_BUILD-g154b52a-alpha ()

The good news is that the above confirms you haven't actually been using the latest sources to compile from, which is possibly why the issues look familiar - we have an entirely different, fresh set of issues today Smiley.

git log should show the last commit hash as 7d4cacc05c31b3746a349923293cfe4358693e9c - the github default is unusual in that it isn't the master.

I'm not using git, just the "Clone or download" button on https://github.com/slimcoin-project/Slimcoin/ , which links to https://github.com/slimcoin-project/Slimcoin/archive/slimcoin.zip

But I guess I need to be on https://github.com/slimcoin-project/Slimcoin/tree/master , and download https://github.com/slimcoin-project/Slimcoin/archive/master.zip ?

I tried in the console:

reservebalance true 1
walletpassphrase mypassword 999999999999

You shouldn't need to do anything else. I will take a look at the code, see if I can spot a problem.

Otherwise, adding reservebalance=0 to the config file seems to work reliably.

Perhaps that could be deep linked in the OP. I clicked on the OP link, then the Slimcoin repo, which I assumed was the correct source.

Hello gjhiggins and aIA,

The updated clients for v5 and v7 should be up within the next week, however I am still working on a way to compile for v8 (should manage it soon), then I intend to automate the process as much as possible.

Regarding the division of the bounty, I would be more than happy to share it, as gjhiggins has done great things for the Slimcoin community and his openssl1.1 compatability fix was very helpful to me personally.

If anyone is interested, I am considering creating an Android version of the client.

Regards

Hello eddycurrent and gjhiggins,

then if you agree we can distribute the bounty for example at 60% for eddycurrent and his compilation work and 40% for gjhiggins to reward all the improvements he is making.

Eddycurrent: I like how you are organizing the folder to undo the different versions. If you could automate the compilation method a bit so that each new improvement that gjhiggins incorporates is soon available to users would be great.

Hi d5000: would it be possible to add the following links in the first post? I think they will be useful for all users.

- The download of the Arm versions that prepares eddycurrent.
- The snapshot of the Blockchain that prepares gjhiggins daily.
- The latest version of Windows client 0.5.1.

Thank you all.

Cheers.

@aiA: Done! I have also deleted some redundancies between the installation and the resources section.

I assume eddycurrent has won the ARM bounty, so I can delete it fully ...

Most bounty offers are really old now - what does the group mean, should I delete them? For example, are "smith7800" and "3429z781678124" from Reddit and ArchitectoR still among us? (I think the "working windows wallet" has also been solved months ago by gjhiggins' work ...)

@allmightyruler: Done - I added a deep link to the ZIP of the "master" branch to the download/installation section.

Thanks to all for your contributions!

Sorry to bother you. Still not working.
Do I need to create config.txt in the same directory as the wallet.exe and put inside it reservebalance=0 ?

Thanks again

I understood you want to stake? How long you have coins in your wallet, because needs 7-9 days for maturing of coins, than staking starts.

I missed this part. Ok. I will wait for 7-9 days. Thanks

NEVER EVER consider using heat for anything!
The CEO, Svante Lehtinen is a scammer and a liar. He told invstors heat would solve the scalability issue, they solved shit! He lured people into the ICO by promising things he must have known he could never ever deliver. He is constantly lying abd deceiving people into his shitcoin! The coin itself is closed source and the "decentralized" exchange is not decentralized but very centralized! You should keep away from this scam as far as possible! I have warned about this coin since their first lie.

Here is a timeline of events that happend, the recent scandals, like censoring every criticism in their new bitcointalk thread, are not even invluded... https://www.reddit.com/r/HeatLedgerIsAScam/comments/62w71u/timeline_of_heat_events/

Thank for ANN. Slimcoin is a P2P project for everyone can join to participate", not managed by any centralized entity or organization. It really a social innovated concept. Your project deserves to succeed. Good luck.

In case there was ever any misunderstanding ... I'm British and just as subject to habitual understatement (litotes) as the rest of my countryfolk.

You can translate “Doesn't inspire confidence” as meaning: “I wouldn't touch them with a 10-foot bargepole.”
