By the way slimco.in website's link to bchain.info needs to be changed to chainz.cryptoid.info/slm, right?

My wallet is synced, everything looks fine. Relaunched it once after it stuck, but it's a usual thing.

Yesterday on my second laptop the wallet went on fork I guess, I sent some coins but they never got to the address I sent them to and explorer didn't show any transactions also. Gonna need to resync it.

Looks like I managed to fix the issue with coincontrol that was preventing the creation of txs:

https://github.com/slimcoin-project/Slimcoin/commits/develop

I recommend trying it out on testnet.

Given the absence of reported issues, I integrated iguanodon1's PoS optimisations into master.

Awesome ... then I'll be testing the newest code.

I wonder - now that coin control seems to work fine, is it possible to integrate a "coin selector" into the Inscription dialog? That would make it much easier to publish periodical works on the blockchain (e.g. via Web2Web), and my little publishing tool would no longer be needed (or could be substantially simplified).

I have tested staking with the newest develop branch code and unfortunately I stumbled on a problem.

It seems that the new code creates proof of stake blocks, but they fork away from the main chain as they're never accepted by the other nodes. At least this happened to me.

The UTXOs I am staking with have a balance between 600 and 10000 SLM. If this problem doesn't affect any other people, Is it possible that the new staking algorithm favours really big stakers?

Possibly the problem already existed with iguanodon1's code. I later tried it with the old 0.5.0 (pre-iguanodon) code and staking went well without problems. As I tried it two times with each version, I think this is really a problem of the new code.

Greetings From Nova Exchange!!

Nova headquarters are located in Sweden, which is quite a very cold place.
Recently though, we have felt spring in the air.....

So, Great Nova traders and trolls, spring clean your portfolio in March.

We have great news, if your March Trading volume is more than 0.2 BTC accumulated, you get ALL your trading fees back at the end of the month (minus any referrals paid out).

Get Some Sun & Trade on!!!

Nova is getting worse. First they wanted authentication, now my driver's license photos and my picture aren't enough and they want bank statement. Not surprisingly they have less than 1 btc trading volume.

Anybody's selling OTC? There are two people on Nova set selling orders at 60 sat and lower. If you're reading this, I'd gladly buy those coins )

I concur with your analysis. I managed to get enough time to separate out just my coincontrol+walletfix additions by reverting the PoS optimisations from master and can now confirm that a wallet based on just the master branch sans PoS optimisations but with coincontrol and walletfix additions does indeed stake and a wallet based on the master branch with PoS optimisations and with coincontrol and walletfix additions does not (even for large stakers).

Cheers

So I guess we should rollback the PoS optimizations on the "master" branch? I think they can continue on "develop", as this is meant to be the branch for experimental code anyway ...

It would be interesting if someone has achieved to stake with the optimized code. If yes, please post here Smiley

Edit: I see gjhiggins has made several commits to the code in the last days. Maybe he has fixed the issue or reverted iguanodon1's additions.

By the way: Currently Nova and FreiExchange both have the SLM deposits/withdrawals disabled Sad

Maybe they're waiting for the newest code?

I have compiled the last master branch (as of March 23) and this one lets me stake without problems. The only problem I continue to see sometimes is that while the chain isn't completely synced the client tries to create PoS blocks - which obviously are orphaned. But once syncing has finished, most PoS blocks get accepted.

Hello,

I'm sorry if this was already discussed earlier in the thread, but is anyone having any issues staking? I'm using version 0.3.2.1 alpha of the wallet app. I've set up a reserve balance in the config app, but I haven't noticed anything going on. Other than unlocking your wallet for minting, is there anyway to ensure that the wallet is actually staking? I'd appreciate any help!

thank you!
