West Ham is a giant killer. They beat Chelsea with 2 goals to one at Olympic Stadium. Unexpected result for me cause I pick Chelsea to win this game. I thought Chelsea will win this game easily cause their last performance against MU was so impressive but I was wrong.

i am not surprising west ham won the match , chelsea play without hazard and costa
they are out from EFL no problem as long as they on top of premier league table.

I told that this match is unpredictable like that happened. all people thought Man City will win this match, but the result was changed now, Man United won the match by 1 - 0. This result really gave big confidence to Man United team players. And welcome back win to Man United team. I think in coming match they will play more confidence and they will win some more games. I told that this match is unpredictable like that happened. all people thought Man City will win this match, but the result was changed now, Man United won the match by 1 - 0. Yup, this game result is unexpected. I placed my bet after finish first half I thought this match would end with no goals. So I placed my bet 0-0 but the 54th minute I got shocked. The Man United scored 1 goal. It's my bad luck, and Man United good luck.

Lol at some of the comments in the thread.  Man United should have scored more goals considering that Man City deployed mostly their B team.  But it's good to see them win and they could use it as a stepping stone and hopefully they get back on track.  I'd honestly like both Manchester clubs to be in the top 4 at the end of the season.  But it's a long battle ahead still.

yeah, Man United should won the game with more goals since their squad was better than Man City. Well glad to see Carrick playing again on this match, I hope he will get more chance to play in next matches especially Premier League.

Manchester united celebrated like they have won a big game while in fact it is not. Manchester city doest even use their main player for this match and only 1 goal for this kind of game is actually a bad performance and mourinho will need to evaluate his strategy or else they wont really make it

Thats what makes me surprised as well and they are having hard time even against manchester city second team and if you look at the replay and highlights of the game then it is obvious that manchester united is indeed having a hard time , they cant hide their frustation to score

Well, there is no other way for Jose Mourinho to win a competition unless he must use full power in every game. He realized that League Cup is the most possible competition they could get on this season.

Well, there is no other way for Jose Mourinho to win a competition unless he must use full power in every game. He realized that League Cup is the most possible competition they could get on this season.

He'd better better off just losing and aiming for CL qualification this season at best.  No way winning the league cup is enough for united even the FA cup not good enough.  They want a deecent CL run and challenging for EPL each year to keep the fans happy.

It looks like Mourinho work in MU not yet showed good results for MU, lost from chelsea and was only able to win 1-0 from City that in fact only plays their young players, it's not great results so far for MU, if MU want to win the trophy they must improve himself soon

A or B team means nothing. It is a Manchester derby, and there you always want to win.
United like the biggest club in PL has a lot of pressure. After five games without wins and one humiliating defeat 4-0 against Chelsea, media have shaved about them. But Manchester City is in a similar situation, also heavy defeat against Barcelona 4-0 and five(now six) games without wins. it is more difficult and the higher the pressure of the United and this win should mean a lot on self-esteem

I have no doubt Manchester United players are now boosted already after beat a reserve players lol.

You can not consider yesterday derby match as a serious fight for Manchester City as they have a bigger priority on champions league and English Premier League . At least jose mourinho win this time .
