Chelsea are currently sitting third in the league after collecting 39 points and with16 points behind the leaders no chance for them to hold the title this season and they can only fight with United over runner's up because for now they are safe to finish in top 4 and in the lat game they have created 26 scoring chances but they didn't convert any with them having good defense but a small squad Conte cannot make enough changes for rotations as his players would be tired now around Christmas. While visitors Brighton have a good defense and sitting at a safe spot at the middle . I expect from this game to see just few goals scored because Morata is not in form also Brighton is good at back.

I think the other positions are still open to a challenge and I would not say Chelsea are far from safety because Tottenham, Liverpool   ,Arsenal, Burnley, Leicester are all fighting for this place.

December games are an endurance test for most teams and I think Chelsea has a lot of experience to call it fatigue this time around, they will be more than ready to take on Brighton and challenge ManU for the second position...am expecting another hat trick to be scored today.

Chelsea is a good bet I won't take their handicap though -2 is too big and Brighton rarely lose by more than 3 goals, one sportsbook at the gambling section offers a higher odds for Chelsea to win @1.5. I also made a parlay of the home favorites today that include Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool with a combined odds of 1.7. 3 leg parlay

Edit : Man United continues to disappoint I have to put this team on my blacklist.

The day started excellent. Tottenham won 5:2 and Kane helped with 3 goals. Let's hope to continue in the same way and see many more goals in this game week. I think I heard speaker announce that highest scoring Boxing day was 1963 with average of 6.3 goals per game. Tough to rival but we started nicely

They managed to tie the game. But they did not win as everybody thought they would do especially with all these big name players.
I think the manager is full of hot air as everytime I see him he is full of it.
Time to say goodbye to him just because he is a former la liga coach doesn't mean squat in the premier league.
All fans must understand this and not keep thinking if they get their spainard coach they are the golden egg for a team.

What a difference two games in one week can do, to score more than 10% of his entire year's supply in two consecutive hattricks? Some people have all the luck! But all credit due to the guy, he overcame his August (or was it his July?) usual hoodoo. I really like the guy, and I feel for him every time the rest of the team lets his down. But to fire in all these goals, even at the expense of toppling Salah (temporarily), I can do so without feeling bad.

Fewer shots on target percentage than Salah, but better conversion of those. So less precise, more lethal finishing? As they often say, form is temporary, class is permanent.

Manchester United almost losing their face in front of their fans. Burnley was leading by two goals at first half and it was so surprising. Draw result indeed not the best result for MU but at least they didn't lose. MU still lucky this time!

It is becoming difficult for Mourinho to defend his own players when the underperform like they did but besides this what a great performance from Lingard who made the biggest difference today for the team.... the likes of lukaku's need to prove their worth as Manu fans will not settle for draws games, and to be honest am now seeing Chelsea to be better suited for 2nd position starting next month.

If i remember correctly, Manchester United in 2nd had quite a lead in the league table, i think it was 6 points lead over Chelsea, and around 9 points over 4th place. Now look at them, Chelsea is just 1 point behind them, and Liverpool and Tottenham are not too far away. At least their next game is against Southampton, a team that's been having a really bad form lately (last 5 games: 3 losses, 2 draws).

Manchester United will be thanking their stars that they got one point from this match. Coming back from 2-0 down is not easy, and they managed to equalize only in injury time. Their hopes of catching up with Manchester City are slowly slipping away.

Looks like all favorites survived this boxing day with victories.
Except for Manchester United who seems to always suffer when needed to perform.
Atleast they did not lose today and came back from being down 2 goals from a dismal first half of their game.
Overall a good holidays for the EPL.
Just need to wait on the results from tomorrow games and Manchester City does not look to disappoint.

Harry Kane also broke the possession of this title which has been holded on between the Argentenian Lionel messi and "ElDon" Cristiano Ronaldo.
