UEFA are not going to want to lose face here, if they lose this case then FFP is effectively a joke & can be abused by anybody. I think there could he some sort of a deal though & perhaps City only get banned for 1 season.

I think most PL teams wouldn't mind to let Liverpool win the title in case league completely stopped, but it's quite confusing on the relegation system. Crowning Liverpool as the current top team surely would affect the bottom three, leads them to be relegated to Championship. Sounds bit unfair imo.

Most would be fine with that, except maybe City who still have an astronomically low chance of winning it  . I don't think most people would have an issue with handing Liverpool the title now, but like you said it's the relegation that becomes the issue (and promotion from the Championship). It wouldn't be fair to relegate teams that can still get out of the zone nor deny the Championship teams promotion. Worst comes to worse they should just play with the extra teams in the league but I'm glad they've resolved to finishing the season so things like this don't need to happen.

I mean, it can be important for PL and many things, not only a CL places on the table. If they are banned from European competition, I guess PL also must punish them, and there they are in transgression. Some more severe punishment could seriously disrupt them in the years to come, even if I don't like this club, I would like them to remain in full force in the coming period.

Man City are appealing the 2 year ban, the issue is what if they win the CL this season? How can you ban the reigning champions for next season's competition? I don’t think they could do that.

Why could they not ban them? A ban is a ban. City will probably get it overturned or buy their way out of it. Of course there is also the possibility they don't qualify for it next season anyway  .

Am not a Liverpool supporter but if because of the pandemic the league ends even after this reopening I would expect the league to b handed to Liverpool not because of its been years since the lifted the title last but because of there sublime performances, but the league must be played out to the final day, the fans would want no stories just celebration after winning they win the league with the games completed

No disrespect to any club (my club Chelsea included) but judging from the way this current season has been going before the stop due to the pandemic. Only Manchester City are capable of competing head to head with Liverpool for next season trophy and the competition would definitely become boring without them playing. You could see how this season was just one sided which one of the major contributor to that happening is due to Manchester city not having a fit squad unlike their previous two seasons.

The two year ban is enough punishment and won't want more punished especially in the premier league. I want to enjoy next season like that of 2018/2019 season and not rewatch another boring one sided season.

Yeah, that's exactly how the transfer market works.

It would be a bit unfair if Werner (or any other new player) was allowed to play in the current campaign. Also, Leipzig is still fighting for the CL, I can't imagine letting him go before their season ends. But their season will end a lot earlier than in Premier league.

Yeah it will be a bit unfair, but also look at the money they will get in return,I also heard a news that the director of Leipzig denied that they haven't come to an agreement with Chelsea, I don't know if its a false news tho, let's just wait till the end of the season and see how far they go in the champions league,but to be honest I think werner joining Chelsea is a bad idea, for me Liverpool would have been the best choice, but I think he wants to be among the first line up, and Liverpool can't give him that because the front three  have already established themselves,but he can get a first team shirt at Chelsea, so maybe that's why he picked Chelsea over Liverpool.

You are correct, imo the title will either be going to the Etihad or Anfield for a couple of seasons more, they are the strongest teams in the EPL at the moment. Chelsea and Arsenal are still rebuilding their teams, with new managers (Franky and Arteta) so I'd be giving them few more seasons to work on their teams to compete to take the title to either Stamford bridge or the Emirates; as for United and Spurs, they are not title contenders imo.

Yea they deserve it, Klopp deserves it. From 8th position on the 2015/16 table in his first season, and now being one of the best teams in the world.

Stadiums could be filled with let's say 5-10% of its full capacity or even less with strict measures, spectators will be like 5 meters away of each others... It is a harass sure but it is possible. A paid rapid test could be done to them too before entering to the stadium...
I heard La Liga is discussing about letting spectators in. I believe EPL will not unless last round maybe.

City is indeed a club that can compete fiercely to the LFC, but there is a possibility that clubs like Chelsea, AFC, or Man United will experience changes in the game and strategies that will allow them to return to good performance to compete in the next season.

Well, the problem is if we allow City and Liverpool like this, and we do not do anything about it, then we might become another La Liga of Real/Barcelona.

Actually we have to look at ourselves. You Chelsea and me Spurs. Chelsea need to stop spending for the sake of competing and spending for long term view. Spurs need to spend better as well and really bring our youth up and fix squad mentality which is so poor.

Manchester United? No, that's unlikely to happen. Their player management has been poor since Alex Ferguson's departure. Chelsea are one of the clubs who are likely to benefit from any poor form from any of the current top two clubs or as a result of their hardwork. For the past decade they (Chelsea) hasn't be left out of the party when it comes to winning trophies, premier league trophies been included.

Any current development from AFC Bournemouth that makes you think they're likely to deliver an impressive performance next season? Tried googling but not getting any impressive result and hope you weren't referring to winning trophies because that's unlikely to happen.

I hope this will not have an effect to PL restart. It is good to know that quick tests are possible and cancellation on time if there is a risk. I may be pessimistic but I think there will be more of this when the game restarts and we have more contacts and tests.

Werner does not match the playing style of Liverpool that is fast, energetic. If there are players in the Bundesliga that Liverpool should finish a transfer, it should be the Jardon Sancho. He is a very great youth talent and he have even moved so fastly into the top greatest players. Sancho and Mbappe will be another Messi - Ronaldo in the next few years if they will be able to maintain their training, motives and won't fall into shit traps of things beyond football.

The issue with Sancho transfer is it will be a very expensive transfer. I think Liverpool should give a try with the transfer because having an England player is always good for one of greatest club in the Premier League, like Liverpool.

Personally, I don't think Werner will bring so many good things to Chelsea squad and play important role in the tactics of Chelsea next season.

Results of testing of ppl directly involved with PL teams came out yesterday: One person tests positive for coronavirus from 1,213 Premier League players and staff just days from restart

Unless something important happens (health officials in UK decide to call everything off, or an entire PL team tests positive for this virus), we're good to go

Saudi Arabia has some appalling human rights records too so it’s not necessarily a bad thing. Football shouldn’t just be about who has the richest owner. Small to medium sized clubs shouldn’t be able to just buy their way to the top through a rich sugar daddy.

I was a little confused by your post. after I try to double check the references you mentioned using the translation tool, the main problem is broadcasting live streaming illegally for every match broadcast by BeIN, as the holder of broadcast rights in that country.

In my opinion, this decision is unlikely to be so influential, because live streaming piracy can be carried out by all countries that still have weak regulatory systems on this matter. however, this was a decision of a federation which certainly had good judgment.
