Hopefully not, but a release of the Blockchain code would probably be a good idea on the next wallet update.

Does not need to be a full release of the wallet code.  Just the core, for review and transaction verification.

Tried to withdraw from Yobit to my wallet and the coins went into cold storage according to yobit. What does that mean? This is an indication for a new exchange.

Also so many still on wallet version 1.6.0 do we not upgrade to 1.6.1

You should definitely upgrade to 1.6.1

And DO NOT withdraw from YoBit for now because they have issue with additional 10% tx fee.

Now I am completely confused. I have ~ 84+ FLY that I have recently bought on YoBit, which means it has never been in my WinQT wallet. I am trying to withdraw it from YoBit now but it is stuck in the 'Transfer from cold storage' mode. Why am I confused? Well, if it isn't in MY wallet it isn't going to count towards Superfly. But now it's being said that I shouldn't take it out of YoBit (if I could). WTW ppl? And to top it off, YoBit is in a pissing match with vegasguy, which is probably why MY coins are stuck there to begin with. Too bad there isn't a clear-cut path through all of this nonsensical, egotistical BS. Can't we all just get along? And give some straight answers, PLEASE!

Thank you
Your coins are stuck (as well as others) because the code % it not compatible with Yobit's system.
They read our code approved it and then they found out it did not work.
A solution is being worked on.

Concerning your problem of qualifying for superfly - we will work it out in your best interest
even if I have to personally send you the coins you may lose.

There are other Exchanges that the % in the code is compatible with
That is also being worked on

Your patience is appreciated - all will be fixed.

As promised....continuing an earlier post.

Even tho the current code is exactly what was asked for by Vegasguy, and Presstab left for vacation, I must exclaim that Vegasguy is working hard and with diligence to see to it that our FLY, stuck on YoBit, is taken care of and a solution is being sought out for the 'Transfer from cold storage' problem a lot of us are experiencing. I would venture to guess that I probably have the most FLYcoin on YoBit (>100)(idiot), and would like nothing better than to be able to 'take my coins and run'. It'll happen, that day will come sooner than later.

It's not a time to panic or sell (although, I'm still buying so....) and I know and trust that these things have a way of working out. I'm sure there will be some inside the community (& outside, as well) who will 'nay-say' the current situation and paint a different picture. Their opinion, and right to question, of course, but I am satisfied (for now) with the information given by Vegasguy during a YoBit chatroom talk.

Superfly works, and hopefully more will join those ranks (me included). To PressTab...enjoy the vacation, hope to see ya when you return. To Vegasguy....press on, a solution can always be found. To Both, make peace!

I, on the other-hand, am going to sit down with a cold Rum-n-Coke and enjoy a beautiful, sunny day in Florida, USofA

3 Key Issues
1. Edit: Solved Stuck coins on Yobit - needs code change to make w/d flat fee compatible with their system
This will be solved. Right now your coins (and mine) are stuck on Yobit. This is temporary.

2. Edit: Solved Developer solved - Vegas knows how to move FAST
Presstab is very busy and traveling and not available to make the code changes necessary.
We are interviewing Senior and Hero wallet dev's as I am posting.
If you know of a quality dev we should consider, have him/her contact Vegas: info@bitcoinlasvegas.net
Have the dev tell vegas you referred the dev.

3. We have found other exchanges which have reviewed our code.
the % (vs. flat fee Yobit uses) is compatible with their
      systems. More info very soon.

Thank you,

Developer issue.

Well that went faster than expected!
A new quality developer referred by FlyTeam Member Mattais/EuropeCoin
has been hired to make necessary code changes.
Dev will make the code changes necessary to enable you to withdraw from Yobit.

Thank you!

New code will make withdraw a flat fee compatible with Yobit
so... withdrawals will no longer be a problem.

Dev is starting on changes immediately. We expect a
quick fix to allow Yobit withdrawls.

Our apologies for the withdrawl problems. Yobit reviewed
and approved the code but I guess they missed the % which will
not work with their flat fee system.

Guess I'm screwed to. I think if something is wrong with a wallet or exchange that the Coin people should halt the coin. My coins in cold storage too. We can't expect to see everything in these thread as there is too many and a work life outside of this. As a result of this I have withdrawn all my btc/altcoins out of Yobit. Cryptsy was done a month ago.

I would agree that if there is an incompatibliltiy problem, the trading should halt until it is fixed.
The dev is fixing the wallet to allow Yobit withdrawls - fix should be available in less than 24 hours.
Yobit just did not catch that we had a % fee and that is the problem. Many other exchanges allow for % fees but Yobit
does not and, did not catch it when our code was reviewed by them. It will all be good.

Notice: Wallet fix that will allow Yobit withdrawals is completed.
Once the Wallet is installed by Yobit and a test withdrawal is made, it will be posted here.

I think you have it wrong...umm...partially. YoBit is still a good exchange, for what they do, which is introduce new coins to market. Your BTC is safe. The problem arose with a code issue that wasn't caught 'before it went to market'. I believe it to be ...as much as I hate to say it... a YoBit issue. Not with any other coin, as far as I know, just with the way FLY does business. FLY and YoBit weren't compatible with the withdraw amounts, so...our coins got stuck in a mode I will never repeat (LOL). New words in my dictionary, 'Transfer from cold storage' now fall into the X-rated section, not to be viewed by children under the age of 18. (disclaimer)

You are safe to trade there...however, I take no responsibility for any trades made on my recommendations. (standard disclaimer).

Now....was THAT not a funny comment!! Comon ppl...I try! LOL Still in love with FLY!!

LOL - I agree It was a wallet compatibility issue.

New wallet fixing Yobit withdrawal problem

Well - I said less than 24 hours for a fix and here it is less than 2 hours later!!! Smiley Cheesy
Yobit has the new wallet and a test was done of a withdrawal.

TimC suggested that if you do a dumpprivkey in console (carefully copy  and paste it into a text file), you could avoid the hastle of step #7 if you run into problems. Note: once you export the private key, anyone with access to it could take your coins - best to save it in a text file on a flash drive. The private key is litterally the key to your coins. Anyone with it could import your coins and move them. If you are not comfortable with dumpprivkey  - go through steps 1 - 6 and ask for help if needed

Read all steps before you start!!!
1. Change name of wallet.dat and/or Backup wallet.dat (in AppData-Roaming-FlyCoin)
    with a name like wallet.dat.FlyCoins
2. Delete all files in Roaming-FlyCoin except your wallet.dat.FLYcoins
This is necessary due to new nodes (coded in wallet) and peers. (Do not use the old nodes in the Ann).
3.  Click on this link to new Wallet
    http://www.keesdewit.nl/FlyCoin-qt.zip
3. It is a good idea to keep a copy of the old wallet in case you need it - you could remane it flycoin-qt.exe.old
Put new wallet in location of present Flycoin wallet-qt and Start new Wallet & re-synch
If your wallet gets stuck on re-synch - just close and re-open (mine got stuck around 21,000 blocks)
My wallet re-synched in 1/2 the time it took to write this)
4. Close your wallet again
5. Go back to the Roaming Folder-FlyCoin and delete the newly created empty wallet.dat
    (not the wallet.dat.FlyCoin) then, re-name wallet.dat.Flycoin to wallet.dat -
keep a copy of wallet.dat.Flycoin somewhere in case you need it
6. Re-open wallet - should be good

Edit: 7. We have had a couple reports of not being able to reopen the wallet after
re-naming wallet.dat.flycoin to wallet.dat - this happened to me in a previous Flycoin version and also in another coin.
The fix is go back to the previous working version - export priv key - reinstall new wallet with empty wallet.dat
and import priv key. You will then need to do a new name claim because the old wallet address will be empty

If you need a previous version see a previous presstab post with the link or ask here on thread.
I will be on a plane to Florida Thursday and checking in here after 5 pm Eastern time US

Any problems PM myself or email Vegas at info@BitcoinLasVegas.net or ask for help on thread - lots or really sharp people here

A round of applause to:
Vegas - He went into high speed to get this fix done so people can get their coins
which were stuck on Yobit. From post #20 Vegas-"Ohh, this is going to be a wild
ride -  Depending on your position, you might laugh or cry, or both"
EuropeCoin for recommending a quality developer
keesdewit - Developer of Amsterdam Coin who made the necessary fix at lightspeed
(With the time zone changes for him it was very late at night)
