Nobody stole your coins.

Everyone is responsible for their own account. If you miss the swap despite plenty of notice that's on you.

In the past there were some mentions of Shift being focused on becoming THE anonymous dapp platform as differentiating factor. Pardon me if I remember this wrong as I can't find mentions of it here. Is that still the case?

Not anonymous per se, but with a decentralized hosting for the front end, which means uncensorable. If you want to be anonymous, you can both browse and create content thanks to Tor though. This is how the Web should have been from the get go. Now, as we wouldn't like to promote/support unwanted content, there will be a opt in mechanism for the content you wish to share and so reject the one you don't want. This is entirely at user's discretion to decide what they want to share or not.

Yes, these people stole my coins. Beware this coin and platform. I sent my private keys to the community manager and they stole them.

what your talking?
you mean you gave your passphrase from: https://wallet.shiftnrg.org/ ?
or you gave your wallet.dat (with password)?
or you gave your bittrex account, name email and pw (and 2fa)?
can you show the txid, where your coins have been send to another account then?

in your last messages you said you missed the swap, so now trying to cause misinformation?
again the shift team did all whats in their force to do the swap as good and comfortable as possible.
im sorry that you missed the timeline but no need to spread lies around.

I gave them my unencrypted private keys to the old coins and never received my new coins.

so you say it yourself:

they stole my coins --- lie
i missed the swap   --- true

so stop spreading lies here please, and if you think shift project has potential, right now is (in my opinion) a great time to grap some dirty cheap.

I missed getting my coins on bittrex for them to perform the swap for me. I didn't miss the swap deadline. I've been trying to get my coins swapped for probably over a month by now.

Not at all! Just join our Slack channel, where most of the activity is going on. https://www.shiftnrg.org/slack-invitation

Moreover, we are roughly in phase with our roadmap https://www.shiftnrg.org/roadmap/

DEVELOPMENT UPDATE DEC 18
Hi Shift community,

We would like to inform you about the latest developments regarding the Shift project.
- today we released the new Shift version 5.2.0, a further milestone in stabilizing and speeding up the shift code.
  https://github.com/shiftcurrency/shift/releases/tag/v5.2.0
- later today we will provide you official snapshots of the shift database
  from then the time-intensive rebuild from scratch belongs to the past
- development on ipfs is ongoing
- Icarus, the blockchain app, is now in testing phase

Btw we have also to say, our roadmap was here a little bit too optimistic.
It'll take longer to get there, because of
  a) alpha status of lisk codebase regarding sidechains
  b) ipfs differs a lot more from zeronet than expected

That's why we had to adjust our roadmap a bit: https://www.shiftnrg.org/roadmap
But be assured, we have our goal before eyes!

    Merge pull request #26 from shiftcurrency/testnet_dev

    Dapps fixes & improvments

And these are the changes:

Code:

  app.js               |  2 +-
  config.json          |  3 ++-
  helpers/constants.js |  2 +-
  logger.js            | 48 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++---------------------
  modules/dapps.js     | 14 ++++++++++++--
  modules/rounds.js    |  4 ++--
  modules/sql.js       |  1 +
  package.json         |  2 +-
  8 files changed, 47 insertions(+), 29 deletions(-)

Excluding logger.js, we left with 2 + 2 + 14 + 4 + 1 = 23 lines changed (conf files do not count). Yeah, "great" progress.

The Shift Dev Team wishes you all a Merry Christmas and a lovely time with your family and friends.

We thank you all for being so supportive over the past year. We sure had our ups and downs but we managed to overcome them all and become stronger than ever. For the new year we hope to have an even more stable network, many new features, dApps and a growing market value.

Once again, thank you all for your support!!
