What is this "hard fork/swap" thing i keep hearing about?I have a paper wallet, and it kinda sounds like i'm gonna lose my money .Or do i have to carefully watch this topic every day for any update so i can prevent it from happening? It happened months ago when shift was changed to lisk codebase. Some people (one of which is particularly vocal here) missed the swap despite being given plenty of notice. Best follow shift on Twitter and allow notifications from them. That way you can stay up to date with everything that's happening without having to constantly check back. LOL Exactly after i posted that, a warning/hacked post appeared .Probably the last thing i wanted to see after posting my worries . Anyway, thanks for the clear-up

Warning! Shift blockchain or web wallet have been (possibly) hacked. It seems that bittrex agreed with my suspection (see the picture bellow). I sent the same message to ShiftTeam but faced a silent wall (see the picture bellow) Because I faced a silent wall from ShiftTeam, I decide to make this post so some smart guys here can investigate this case and give me some insights. I also warn other investors should be very careful until the case settled. P/S: All my other coins are safe Update: The hacker's account: https://explorer.shiftnrg.org/address/10138432695218947150S Can you not share pictures the normal way? I don't trust those links you provide. Looks like fud/scam attempt Nope I cant do that for several reasons which I wont disclose. This is none of ur business after all. Enjoy ur life of a shoeshiner and dont bark if nobody asks u for anything. Look hacker took too much of a bankroll and everyones busy with investigating the cause of the theft. I will be in contact with u later when u sober up.

I know right? Not even following what Bittrex has told them to do properly. Sounds like they're the one who isn't sober. I am actually surprised they got reimbursed by the shift team.

Nice try.
Kinda worked for me though. My buy orders filled. Can't wait for IPFS implementation.

Currently we are writing the monthly update in which we will elaborate on this. Good to know for now: Transactions can only be send with a passphrase. It's super important that you keep it safe and also create a 2nd passphrase and keep it offline (cold storage) to sign transactions. That's why the 2nd passphrase option is created. Because you all have the 1st passphrase inside your config.json on your server, and a server can be hacked if you have other ports listening, no secure password, and other possibilities of course.
Shift is not hacked. Our code is secure, we (and other parties) triple checked it. If our code is not secure, Lisk would've been hacked too and there's lots more $$$ involved there. We strongly recommend you to create a 2nd passphrase at all times.

I don't trust those huge buy walls. It looks like someone is propping up the price. This price surge is a classic "buy on the rumor" move. This coin's price is being manipulated big time!

Tin foil hat on! If you have watched the coin developers since the beginning, you would see that they are always working hard, active, answer questions, hold to their words, listen to community, resolve problems..Not all coins are pump and dump types..

I have been, since the beginning, and I quantify their work. It's an impressive team, don't get me wrong. But I do think the current price is being propped up. Any coin with little volume will be open to manipulation.

I'm putting down to that people see a much higher value when IPFS in implemented, which isn't too far away. I certainly don't want to sell at the current price, i've picked a few more up at just under 5K, I had to wait a while for people to sell as well.

Yeah, I did buy 25,000 at 5500; however, I do think it was too high to pay for the short term. Wish I had held my position at 900, I sold it prior to the Lisk change. It is amazing how well the developers have done with the transition. I monitor github commits closely.

He has never missed anything and managed to translate 99.9 percent of his stake into lisk signalling that hes not supportive of shift shit anymore, and few others whose identities I cant disclose followed him and exited from this joke. The reason was that they knew something about insider circles of the new team that dramatically changed their view and compelled them to cut their veins on the unknown grounds.

Just a data point: there have been zero (0) commits to the github repositories since Jan 26. I monitor a couple dozen projects and many make constant commits all hours of the day.
