Ive been looking at how the market is moving right now and i see that the price in growing so i decided just to hold my bitcoin and wait for the price to increase more.
If you have no other use of your coins, and your daily living is not dependent in bitcoin and you have extra savings in fiat, then keeping it in cold storage is a better idea... Unlike the situation, if you're not depending upon bitcoin then just place it idle into the wallet. You may get a additional profit when the price reaches the halving. Keeping your bitcoin idle is the worst thing to do with your coins, try to grow it until the halving and you can earn higher profits if you are holding more number of coins.

Keeping it in your cold storage is the right way if you want to earn and profit from your bitcoin without doing nothing. Just wait for the halving and it will increase the value of bitcoin versus dollar. I hope our suggestions did help everyone here.

Holding! I'm curious to see what will happen right before and after the halving; not planning on selling anyhow. Haven't sold 1 coin yet and been following the market since 2013.

So are you holding your bitcoins for future events such as halving or you more like to spend your bitcoins when you get it? I personally like to spend it for digital goods usually...
I don't hold my coins. I always do something with them, like gambling, trading, shoping...from recently I'm using bitcoins to send money to my girlfriend abroad. I also cash some coins from time to time in my currency. So I don't hold coins for price increase, but I like very much when that happens. I plan to start to save in bitcoins in some near future, but it would be saving not waiting for price increase.

I'm holding mine for the same reason that I'm keeping my stocks and other investments. If the price decreases, I find that as an opportunity to buy more. If the price increases, you'd be tempted to sell if you're only planning to hold it for a short period of time. I hope my patience pays off in the long term. Hehe.

Yes, I am holding it til the price increase. My coins are just few, so if I put it on trading, I will not profit from it. So I'll just keep it and at the same time add a few each time I earn..

Solid strategy! Hold and accumulate each time you have a bit of fiat money left. This is what the majority here is doing I would say, beside trading.

Great idea for hold it and wait for halving comes but in trading it all depends on your strategy on what you are doing and your not rushing to buy, while waiting for halving better to do investments were you can multiply and earn more bitcoins and when the halving time comes well you surely get high and big profit with it.

who said to you that for trading with bitcoin you need a big amount of bitcoins? with bitcoin you can start trade with any amount , there are a number of trade websites where you can trade with no minimum.

This the right way imo.

Indeed, the most people are doing this and I'm also doing this because the fact is that a lot of people are investing in the bitcoin and are holding them for a long time because they know its gonna be profitable. The most people right now are thinking about the halving also so they are holding for it and they are all hoping that the price will rise, although its still not sure that this will happen.

That's not true. The truth is most people are posting here they are holding but in reality they're not.
