It is not like the Serie wasn't there, but they couldn't win the trophy indeed. But in all fairness the final games can often end either way because they are so close. The same counts for the semifinals actually. Inter Milan, as has been said before, could have been the winner and Manchester City would have been the eternal loser. I wouldn't underestimate the Italian teams.

I think when they gave Giroud a chance this season and he kept scoring for a few games, it led them to believe that this can work out for a while and I think it's right. Never change a running system. But things can change quickly when the player is already quite old, which is true for Giroud. I am sure that AC Milan won't just naively rely on Giroud being fully available for the years to come and also to deliver on the same level permanently. But they noticed that it works for the moment and why not stick to it then? They have enough speed with Pulisic and Leao and Giroud is a real number 9. I do agree that they need to look for someone that would be younger. The problem with Milan is that they do not plan too much ahead, they just buy players that they have at that point and only care about that year, and that allows them to be good as much as they could possible be for that season, but that also results with them facing issues when summer comes. This is why we need to see them start to have some sort of better results eventually.

This should be the most important part of the deal and not really end up with anything that is better. I hope that we are going to end up with anything that could be all that much of an help for the time being, and I believe that we are going to end up with some better result eventually. Hopefully that would be a bit harder to handle and should not be all that great. Focus on what type of improvements you could have for the next 10 years, and not just what you are going to do this season, that is better planning.

Empoli vs Udinese will be an interesting match even if both teams are struggling currently, they are both trying to fight their way out of the relegation zone. Empoli are currently no.19 on the table with just 1 win and 6 losses from 7 games, it’s a terrible start for them and it’s why they need to improve and try to win the match so they can move up. Udinese on the other hand are also not doing well, they currently sit at no.17 on the table with just 1 point ahead of Empoli, they have not won a single match but have drawn 4 matches and lost 3. Olivier Giroud is 37 years old at the moment. He has got very old but thanks to his being a quality striker he still makes a big contribution to Milan - 4 goals, 3 assists in 8 matches in total. But after completing this season I expect Milan to part their ways with him finally. Or they can at least give more chances to some other strikers in the starting eleven.

Milan have only a few 30+ year-old players who are playing actively now. They are actually a quite young team now but I really like their performance so far. This doesn't cause them any problem.

Of course they still couldn't get a win in the Champions League but they will start to win there sooner or later. They should be able to be competitive for the Serie A title on one hand.
