Napoli played great last season. But at the beginning of this season, I felt that this team is not worthy to win this season's title . Because Inter Milan, AC Milan and Juventus have more qualified squads than Napoli. I am not saying that the Napoli team is weak. Their squad is quite strong. This usually happens when a team changes their head coach especially when the players have adapted to the coach’s strategy already so bringing in a new coach will change everything about the team entirely. Every coach has his own philosophy and strategy so to adapt to the system of the new coach will take time, probably till the end of the season. It is so sad that former coach Spalletti had to resign due to personal reasons claiming he needed break after leading Napoli to it’s first league title after so many years. They were not really an average team this past years but they were just not lucky to win the title, they do qualify for the champions league so a team qualifying to the champions league is not an average team to me.

The problems are as a result of the new coach being employed. Their game is different now and even the best players of the team who led them to victory last season are struggling to have a decent game so if they are not careful this could cost these players to push for a transfer to another club which would be bad for the team. They just need to improve as soon as soon as possible if they don’t want them to leave.

I understand your concerns about Napoli's performance and the new coach, but let's look at the wider picture. It goes beyond new strategy adoption. A coaching paradigm shift does affect tactics, but it's not the only factor. I think this is about the players, especially Osimhen and Kravatskhelia, the offensive duo. The problem shouldn't be from these players then, there must be something missing from the last management and the present. That's more to be handled internally tham externally. I won't support a coach calling out his players publicly, I've seen it leading to chaos between the player and coach. ( Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba has got to be a good example )

I see Osimhen, he is a goal machine but this season that man performance has dropped in scoring a lot of goals. The Inter game will be a difficult test for Roma. But it will also be a difficult test for Romelu Lukaku. I'm sure the Inter fans won't give him a warm welcome.

Mourinho brought Lukaku to Manchester United and they worked with each other well that is a foundation for their current relationship in Roma. AS Roma does not have too good transfer budget but with the reputation of Mourinho, they succeeded to have Dybala and Lukaku, Belotti and they are important with Roma. Belotti seems to have a better season with Roma than the past one when he joined the club at very late dates before summer transfer market closed.

Lukaku has been making instant impact on Roma after joining them in the summer and so far, he and Mourinho have good cooperation in Roma. I believe Mourinho is important for Lukaku decision to join Roma but not Juventus.

Roma must continue like this to think of challenging Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan for Scudetto but the injury of Dybala will affect their squad a lot. Belotti and Lukaku can play well as a striker but without Dybala, Roma will struggle to create chances to score goals.
