Bologna are still moving on determinedly on their way. They faced two tough teams to beat consecutively recently but they still managed to beat both of them - Atalanta and Roma. They are officially a top 4 contender for me especially after these important wins.    They haven't been losing for five weeks in the league.

Until facing Milan at the end of January I think Bologna's fixture isn't much challenging as well. They can continue without a loss until then. But in San Siro against Milan I don't know whether they can keep this up. They lost to Fiorentina away and maybe they could lose another big away game.

Bologna's victory over Atalanta was also quite surprising because both teams were at the same level and I thought the match would end in a draw. But the result was a narrow 1-0 win for Bologna and indeed home advantage is something that is very profitable for Bologna in this match.

The support from Bologna fans was never-ending and that was what resulted in the only goal being scored in the 86th minute which sealed Bologna's victory at home. In fact, Atalanta wasn't that bad either because they also repeatedly threatened Bologna's goal, but the finishing from their players was still felt to be lacking.

The additional 3 points make Bologna more comfortable sitting in 4th position in the standings, but the difference from Fiorentina is only 1 point, which makes their position in the range of being shifted if they get a draw or defeat in the next match. Exactly my man, One would think that the game would've swinged that way ( A full time draw ) but Bologna kept them cool and defended like they should to win all three points at home in the presence and support of the home fans who gave them unwavering support until the end of the game.

Nigerian International Ademola Lookman was the major force in that game for Atalanta as he was dangerously causing problems for the defense of bologna. They should bjave scored more than three goals if they had converted the chances they had.
Thiago Motta has really been doing a lot, they be sitting at the first four clubs in the first half. They could qualify for the first four clubs if they get to double up them performance.

Ademola Lookman is indeed a key player for Atalanta and if you look at his contribution this season he has scored 6 goals and 3 assists for Atalanta. It's just that every opportunity failed in this match and he failed to provide better hopes for Atalanta. I think Atalanta is also confused when facing an equally strong team and they seem to have difficulty breaking down their opponent's defense.

In the end, Atalanta only sat back in 8th after this defeat and failed to shift Roma's position in the standings. However, their position is a little threatened because Lazio and Torino are starting to overshadow them with a difference of only 2 points. In the next match against Lecce, I hope Atalanta can win again and I will bet on Atalanta winning in this match later.

It's not trivial to find out what their biggest problems are. I think the good beginning this season could have disguised some of the bigger problems and if you look at Giroud, he has scored quite often in the first few games, but then his performance went down. I thought that he is not the perfect striker for AC Milan as they should more focus on pace and Giroud is not really the fastest player anymore. Having someone who understands where to be at the right time is great, but this seems to have stopped working for them. There is not enough variation in their attacking line despite having players like Leao and Pulisic, but as it was the same in Chelsea, Pulisic can't play on a constant level for several weeks in a row. That can harm the team's performance when some of the players can't perform all the time and now we can see the result of that.

There were expectations in start of the season things are going to have changes, but suddenly they all stopped due to poor finances, and they have to rely on players which are currently playing and having not good performance which is surely not ideal, and they were doing good in early matches but suddenly now things are going down, and they are also having deep trouble Giroud performance is surely setback with he was impressive in early days but now having nothing like this and age factor is surely having his impact.

Even currently they are having no problem for dropping in league table because we have struggling time for the few more teams but if they want to have better things surely need to increase quality and bring few fresh players which give them improvement and better results, but we have good thing all elite clubs are in upper half of the league table.

We can see that AS Roma's first winning goal scored by Lorenzo Pellegrini occurred after the Napoli player received a red card. AS Roma's second goal also came after Osimhen received a second yellow card.
There was nothing special about AS Roma's victory against Napoli even though Lukaku was the best player in the match.
If the match had gone on without a red card from the Napoli team, AS Roma would have been in trouble and might have suffered defeat.

Napoli's defeat is normal. Because Napoli only played with 10 players and then with 9 players. And all the goals scored by AS Roma players were every time Napoli lost a player in the match. Going into the match against AS Roma, the psychology of Napoli players is being affected the most, especially when they just lost 0-4 at home to Frosinone. While there was a deadlock to find an equalizer, things got even worse for Napoli when they had to play with 9 people on the field. In fact, even before they were superior, Roma played better and created many opportunities. Obviously, they scored the goal and made the most of the situation. I think it was entirely deserved. It had 28 points, one point more than their opponent. Roma is still 3 points behind next season's Champions League group. Mourinho and his team have another problematic match against Juventus, while Napoli returns home to face Monza.

Some positive results achieved of course this makes Roma have a big enough chance to be able to compete in the standings although indeed in this case I don't see them too much because I still believe their conditions will be the same as last season.

At the moment the problems Roma face are also still the same namely in the attack which is sometimes not too erratic which makes this more complicated for themselves.
Indeed, Lukaku's presence adds some positives because even though this still cannot be compared to prime Lukaku when at Inter but he has been able to provide slightly better results because the 14 matches he played in Serie A he has scored 8 goals and 5 goals from 6 Roma matches in the Europa League in my opinion it is a good achievement.

If Mou can maintain this then indeed their big chance for the Champions League or more certainly the Europa League will be very there its  just that we also cannot fully believe that this can be done easily for Roma in their current condition.

If you are talking about good clubs for the 4th spot, exclude Roma. I do not have that serious conviction about Roma, that club's second name is disappointment. It is when you hail them more that they will disappoint you the more, so I do not have serious trust in them. Mourinho has tried in these years to turn the table around but he couldn't, and at the 6th position, I believe they have gotten the fair share of their performances this season, and I don't think they can get higher than that at the end of this season. There are clubs like Atalanta, Napoli and Lazio that are still serious threats to the current standing of Roma, I hope that in the next 2 weeks, they will not be displaced even lower contrary to the belief you guys have about them.

They just don't have that feat yet. As for AC Milan, one should know that they are trying, at the top 3, they have done so well, although it's because many clubs in the Serie A are not so impressive, yet, they deserve the current standing. However, they had it tough in their last match with Salernitana, it was good luck that saved them, or else, Salernitana would have won that match eventually. I hope they can try better in the coming ones and they should be able to beat Sassuolo FC easily with my analysis. Nonetheless, concerning Bologna and Fiorentina, they are doing well and they should continue to do well. But concerning Napoli, I must say I do not have any hope in them again, the gaps are too wide, and not even Victor Osimhen can do anything again unless for a miracle.

I think Inter Milan shouldn't be underestimate Genoa because as mediocre team they were often can make big teams get in trouble and during this season the teams just like Napoli, Roma or Juventus was failed to beat them even Roma have to lose with big scores from them and about the odds Inter Milan has odds @1.60 but i am a bit doubt Inter Milan can able to overcomes Genoa with their condition especially Inter Milan's front lines strength is much reduced without Martinez but for safe bets i think both teams to scores is good

I agree with your opinion. Genoa are really like a giant slayer team this season. Their position in the standings isn't good at all actually but they still can do a pretty good work in their most challenging games. Even Juventus couldn't beat them indeed. That game against Roma was a total destruction for the Rome team. 

Inter are different from all of other top teams left in the Serie A though. But they still shouldn't have any luxury to underestimate them or shouldn't play complacently against them. As the game is an away one too things can just get harder for Inter for no reason in case of doing that.

Genoa is unpredictable and having good performance against top teams but Inter Milan is playing with totally different level which is making things better for them, and surely they will do their homework before entering into game against them if they want to end their 2023 at high note and also want to keep pressure on their opponent Juventus which is currently at the second with the difference of 4 points but if they will also do mistake which other giants done then surely things can go on wrong way and their deficit can also cut by 2 or 3 points which could be bad for them in 2024 for staying at the top.

In last few matches, we all know Inter Milan is doing impressive job and giving not room to opponents with from five games they have conceded only 1 goal which making them superior and tag them as the best team in Serie A in this season.

Napoli is really having a bad season this time. They just held the Serie A trophy last season but this season, their performance has really fallen since Spalletti left. And it is indeed impossible for those who are currently in 7th position to suddenly rise to the top position. Their challenges are quite complicated, not only in terms of the performance of the players, but also in terms of the coaches, especially and also their rivals in Serie A, which are certainly getting better at the moment.

Actually Rome is the same. they are sometimes good but sometimes play quite badly. Their inconsistency when playing has really made the match results quite bad so far. However, in the previous match, Roma was indeed excellent when they competed against Napoli and won. Roma is of course chasing a top 4 place this season because the last time they were able to do it was in the 2017/2018 season and after that they struggled to close the season in the top 4.
Yes, with the distance getting closer to the top 4 teams, it is an opportunity for Roma to make the best use of it. Roma sometimes they are unstable in their performance, I mean they often lose points when facing weak teams so they have to improve this in the upcoming matches to be able to return to the top 4 ranked teams.

Now the point difference between roma and bologna is only 3 points so this is quite close because only one match can change their ranking. Bologna will be cooking soon. The performance of this club is still amazing as always. It is becoming increasingly clear that bologna is being perceived as a major menace by several renowned clubs, leaving no room for doubt. Since it is always climbing up even higher than before.
I have been consistently expressing my opinion that there is a similarity between Bologna, Atalanta, and Fiorentina, but Bologna is still underperforming when compared to those teams. Bologna is going to face udinese in upcoming schedule. This is not going to be a tough game for bologna.
 
I fully trust bologna to win the game against udinese. As you may have noticed, Udinese's performance in Serie A this season has been extremely disappointing. It's more than enough to prove that if bologna will be dominating the match.
Even though if bologna will not be dominating the match but it will be winning with narrow score. I think that that girona will be cooking in this game.

Napoli started the match well despite they where playing in the home of Roma, but they blocked Roma plan to lead the match in the first half  by displaying well but the first half ended up draw 0-0 for the two teams to have hope of using second half to achieve victory.The red card made many people to lose their prediction because many people predicted for the favour of Napoli base on some kind players their coach used to start the match but the red card two of their players got, gave Roma opportunity to scored the two goals. But if not the red card that happened in that match, Napoli would have use the second half to equalized the goal and add another two goals to defeat Roma 1-3 but red card turned the match to the favour of Roma to defeated Napoli 2-0.

I'm sure you don't really know what happened in the match because after all, how could the score be 3-1, while the first goal also occurred in the 76th minute and the second goal occurred in the +90th minute. Also, although Napoli in the first half led in ball possession but still, Napoli played poorly in the first half because after all, in the first half also Napoli did not have a shot on target at all.

Therefore, then I say that Napoli played poorly in this match for the first half and also in the second half. But ya, even though Napoli played badly but at least Napoli had a chance to get a draw. Yes that's right. Bologna this season has made an extraordinary surprise, Bologna's success so far cannot be separated from the coach who is clever at using player material and Motta showing modern football. He doesn't just prioritize defense, but impressive attacks and pressing the opponent's defense.

I also agree with you, in the next two matches Bologna if they can beat Udinese and AC Milan then they will increase their self-confidence so much that it will be difficult for their opponents to beat them, and of course at the end of the league they will stay in the top four of course. If this is the case for Bologna, this will be a truly extraordinary achievement.

It's not too challenging for Roma to get into the top 4 position as they play well enough they are already 6th in the points table and only 3 points behind the 4th position which needs only 1 game worse to fill and I think Roma can do it. Inter is doing very well this time in the Italian league, they are also ahead of all other teams. Inter can be champions of the Italian league.  Although now there are many matches to be played. So the position can change anytime so it is not guaranteed that they will be champions. But the possibility cannot be denied

The reality is that Roma got 4 out of 9 points from the last 3 games. This isn't very impressive and definitely not enough to get into the top four. This game against Napoli is a bit blurry as it seems that Roma has beaten a serious contender in Serie A, but everyone is aware that Napoli got a red card, then a red card and then the finishing blow from Lukaku. But without the red cards the world would be looking slightly differently and your assessment whether Roma would get into the top four and it would not be too challenging may also have been different.

Having Lukaku back in the team and in the shape he is currently in is never bad of course, but the really decisive scenes in this game were the red cards. Those cards pulled the rug under Napoli's feet.

Lukaku got his goal, which helps him to quickly get back to normal and nobody cares whether he scored that against 9 Napoli players or 11 Napoli players. But for Napoli the tendency for the moment is bad and stopping it is hard.

Lukaku only stands there like a pole on side balls and kicks the incoming ball, he doesn't have any other qualities. I don't think Roma won the match, Napoli gave it away. Also Belotti might be the 2nd biggest transfer blunder in Roma's history. If you ask who's the first, he's offside at the forward end. Lukaku is such a waste of money. It's interesting that Roma are still winning games with this squad, they should be better. Napoli have been beaten in almost all derbies. I think the second yellow card given to Osimhen was wrong. The reality is that Roma got 4 out of 9 points from the last 3 games. This isn't very impressive and definitely not enough to get into the top four. This game against Napoli is a bit blurry as it seems that Roma has beaten a serious contender in Serie A, but everyone is aware that Napoli got a red card, then a red card and then the finishing blow from Lukaku.
