@AakZaki yea Italy’s been hit really hard and I’m not even sure how they’ll recover post this virus mess, but I’m hoping that somehow they manage to recover and things become normal out there soon. Also as far as the league is concerned I don’t think it’ll resume anytime soon or even in June, because the new season begins in August and therefore they’ll have no option but to declare this season null and void.

That is so terrible for Italy where around 84% of death tolls come from the elderly who are 70 years old and above. With the very old population in Italy, it is a big risk for the nation. Is that a new rule now? I think in the Italian league it is only a few points apart from the 2nd and 3rd and I think Lazio will also be able to overtake Juventus if this match continues if there is no obstacle by the corona virus. I think this really does not exist if Juventus is broken right to become champions in Serie A this season.

I do not think it is fair to be in favor of voiding the league, it will leave the clubs side with so much deficit to fill and repay.
The best case scenario remains to play out the season whenever the pandemic is over.

The lower tiers like serie d with less budgets can be voided with a grant issued to each clubside, just like the england national league side.
This season 2019/2020 must be played out completely.

It should have happened because now people are in dire need of donations at this time in almost all countries raising funds to heal from Covid-19.

You have to realize it is not same for Serie A as to other leagues, Italy is under a lot more trouble with corona than all other nations, hell there are like 10-20 nations who are seriously considering lockdown that doesn't have Italy numbers COMBINED yet. Italy was just a cautionary tale for all other nations to close borders and keep everyone at home because they saw what happened in Italy when you do not take care of it very quickly.

Maybe UK will be back in few months, maybe france? Germany could, but I doubt Italy could comeback this season, their nation is going through something catastrophic right now, close to a thousand people die every day, let me put it this way, war between USA and Iraq and there was less Americans death in decade long war than people who died in Italy this past week alone. In one week Italy lost more lives to corona than USA lost in all of Iraq war. Doubt they can start back the league that easily honestly.
