Milan must also continue to collect points in the remaining matches this season if they want to get back a ticket to the Champions League next season. because after Juventus got 15 points they returned because the cancellation of sanctions automatically made Juventus return to competing in the top 3. and this has thrown AC Milan to 5th place at the moment. I think you meant Serie A? In both cases, I do think that UCL matters in both cases that's the issue. If the question was "would you try to be second or have more time on UCL and be third in the league" then they would be third and spend more time in UCL, but right now both questions are about UCL at the same time.

A great performance from a prolific striker that is going through a hard time. Has not scored for some time now and he ended the goal drought in a grand style. Two power goals and a priceless assist from the Belgian striker gave Inter the needed three points. The first half of the match was not entertaining but Empoli had the better chances to score but wasted all of them. The second half saw Inter dominating the game creating more chances. Lukaku was just extraordinary, making good runs and dropping some great passes. This win has rekindled Inter's hope for a European football competition next season because the overturning of Juventus's 15-point reduction has affected their chances of finishing in the top four position.

Actually Pogba is still not at his best after recovering from injury, therefore he is still filling the bench for now. On the other hand, I don't see a few important names like Szczęsny, Vlahovic, Di Maria, Fagioli and Chiesa in the starting line-up. It looks like Allegri risked quite a lot during this big game against Napoli, but it looks like they are also very happy with where they are in the table now. But wouldn't this actually be a good opportunity if you manage to beat Napoli and get full points right? but strangely Allegri didn't even use the main squad in this match.

Napoli is dominated the first half and gaining all possession, playing tirednessly and using a good football pattern. It is an entertaining first half with Napoli having most opportunities of  scoring. Oshimhen is not fit yet from my observation because he hardly position himself where he can easily get a chance to score. Juventus players are trying their best but Napoli controls the midfield which give Juve less chances of creating an opportunity to score. Napoli will be able to score in the second half from the look of things.

This was Lukaku's best performance in the recent times honestly. He scored 2 goals and made an assist against Empoli. He was undoubtedly the man of the match as well. The most important thing for him is to be consistent just like in the old times. He needs to set this as a goal for himself for his own good in the team. If he performs in an impressive way in the remaining matches of the season then maybe he can be convincing for Inter.

Because as far as I have heard Inter have plans to not extend his loan contract. This means that he would be leaving the team by this summer. He was a really valuable player for Inter before and they did their best to have him back in the team for the sake of his great duo with Martinez back then. Chelsea were also eager to get rid of him as he wasn't performing good there.

However now things have changed. I don't know if any of these teams are very eager to keep him.

it's dope to witness Milan crushing it in ball possession against Lecce! It's a solid indicator when your squad is dictating the tempo like that. True, they haven't been raining down goal attempts, but with Leao netting that one score, it feels like Milan's on course for a W. And I'm with you on Lecce struggling to withstand the pressure from Milan.

Still, we can't overlook the fact that Milan's gotta bring their A-game in Serie A if they're eyeing a return to the Champions League next season. With Juventus clawing their way back into the top four, it's time for Milan to kick it up a notch and snag more points
