I agree with you on this. What’s the need of having a high possession of the ball and don’t create goal scoring chances. Roma's performance today was off. I expected them replicate the form they had against Feyenoord in this game. They have the quality to penetrate Atalanta's midfield and defensive setup and score. Instead they were just recycling possession and passing the ball around. Now this result could have a big effect on the race for the Champions League spots.

Roma did played very bad in the first half and they got two easy conceded goals which make the match more difficult for them when they had play at a home-away stadium in Bergamo. After the first goal from Lorenzo Pellegrini, Roma did not come back but got a third conceded goal which is a serious mistake from their goalkeeper. It's unbelievable that how an old and experienced goalkeeper like Patricio could make that mistake.

That goal nearly nailed the defeat for Roma and they god another bad news. It seems Dybala got a serious injury which can damage their squad strength especially attacking power and they will have more troubles in Europa League semi finals and remaining matches of Serie A.

Hopefully after having a full checkup, Dybala injury is not too bad and he will come back soon as AS Roma really need to have Dybala.

For me it was an unexpected result. I expected Roma to win. This group was in a good rhythm. The main reason for their defeat was their poor defense. Atalanta did not play an attacking strategy in this match. Even then they scored 3 goals. Atalanta would not have been able to score three goals if Roma's defense had been strong. It's very disappointing result for jose mourinho but he was not feeling bad with the way of his team play against atalanta.

It was expected for Roma to not be able to withstand a good game yesterday night as they played on Thursday a difficult game which ended in the extra time and they qualified against Feyenoord in Europa League.They spend all the energies in that game and yesterday it was a sure bet to bet on Atalanta or Atalanta draw no bet for the skeptics.Another reason was that Atalanta needed a restart after several games playing very bad and going bad for them including some games where bad luck and referee made them lose such games.It is becoming very interesting the fight for the Champions spots in Serie A in these last games of this season.
